Less impressed with him getting Baines and Gareth Bale mixed up .

See it's on ITV4 rather than Channel5 this time. Anyone know how it works? Colin Murray made a big thing about 5ive having first choice and choosing Everton for the first round of matches but this time they have Celtic (they wouldn't be showing that by choice would they ?). I'm guessing ITV must have had first pick this time and they're alternating. Anyway, tough game. Maybe made a little easier by being moved from BATE's home ground. Davey seems to have sussed how to win these games though after the dodgy start in the early days (B*****est and the Kharkiv struggle) so I expect us to win 3-1. Jo, TC and Baines after going 1-0 down. A draw would be a perfectly good result though in terms of the group.

Interesting post Nutmeg. Depends on how you think he can play. Beginning to wonder whether his "headless chicken" style of play is not just the over-exuberance of youth but actually the extent of his talent. Hope that's wrong, his time at Derby will probably tell. Personally I like Jo, like his attitude and I love having a Brazilian at the club. Hope we sign him and he becomes a legend...but then I hope the whole squad do because it means we'll be winning things .

Watching the 20 min highlights on EvertonTV again a couple of times today I think it's a bit harsh to call Fellaini awful, particularly first half. Bit that made me laugh was Boateng looking like he was (literally) trying to move the goalposts for one of their corners five minutes from the end and Howard saying, "You can't do that!" (Actually he was stretching his legs and Tim was telling someone to pick him up but with a spoof voice over it could be funny....I thought so anyway )

Done....no trouble at all.

Last game on MOTD then....what a surprise . And then all they'll talk about is Pompey's poor start <_< .
