You're forgetting the fourth tenet of Evertonian lore Jamie...
Thou shalt never win the League Cup in whatsoever manifestation it may take in the lives of your son's offspring and for a hundred million generations of begatting verily and likewise as your forefathers have suffered.
Something like that anyway .
Can see why he would have left Atlético, even though they're in the Champs League...they're in a mess.

They timed it out on MOTD2...there was a minimum of four minutes to be added, City's goal celebration took 56 seconds and there was a substitution which they allow another 30 seconds for. That made 5'36" and the goal was timed at 5'37".
So in fact the whistle should have gone immediately after the kick-off and City should instead of complaining be grateful that the ref gave them another minute and a half to equalise again .
The Guardian piece completely fails to take into account the (blindingly obvious) fact that if United are losing at home their opponents will take every opportunity to waste time which will inevitably result in more stoppage time.

Nothing racist there (not very pleasant though )
I'm just interested to know which country (or region's) lexicon uses the phrase in a racist manner.....maybe one could update the entry for them?
Can we get back to talking about Diouf please....people keep wandering off topic !
Plane ticket to Brazil sounds favourite .
Big trip was the plan actually, but the finances mean it's probably off for a bit . Other than that I've no idea....other than maybe the last 33 years over again .
Interesting explanation/web of lies or somewhere in between depending on your point of view...

Must've been before I discovered them Jamie....otherwise I'd have had one !
Was born that season myself spiderman.....have a word with my kids would you .
TOFFS are a bit short on Everton stuff at the mo and even when they weren't they have never (to my knowledge) done a 1960 shirt. Nearest one (which I have) is the 1966 shirt.....they sell it as a "Cup Final" one and it's embroidered as such but they sold me one without the wording....I wanted specifically an "Alan Ball 8" which obviously wouldn't fit with the 66 final but was effectively the same shirt for the next few years.
Two problems though....the '60 shirt was a V neck (56 to 62) and they don't appear to have the '66 in stock anyway .
Sorry.
Might be worth talking to them though as the shirts weren't badged back then so they may sell a plain blue V neck as another club....maybe?
Yup. He's only seven months into a five year contract but I reckon that'll be renegotiated sooner than later. We need to do whatever we can to keep him for as long as possible.

Market trader and KEIOC treasurer.
"I’d never ever do anything that’s detrimental to the club, we just need to sit down and talk to them."
Agendas eh ? If he was happy for the club to keep using it what was the need for a meeting ?
I'd like to see Pienaar, Saha, Rodders, Baines & Howard given the night off.
Give all the new boys a game....maybe something like..
Nash
Hibbo
Heitinga
Distin
Neill
Gosling
Cahill
Osman
Fellaini
Bily
Jo
Diouf living down to his reputation, what a surprise . Wondered what the booing was about, thought it was just his red and otherwise dubious history. Twat.

He was indeed. £40m worth of center back in front of him and he has to play out of his skin to keep the score down to four .
Think City may need to have a little dabble in the transfer market come January.
Can see Lescott getting his hands on a trophy there though....reserve player of the year .
Right....stick another one or two in, keep a clean sheet, that's a six place move up the league, game in hand to get top half and we're off and running .
