  1. Jeez that's a long way to fall . Tough to even make a living at that level I'd have thought. Broken dreams eh?
  2. Predictably no response. This is the big black hole in the Kenwright is a cancer/lining his own pockets argument that you (and everyone else who subscribes to it) fail to address. Moyes has to be either complicit or being deceived with the rest of us. Unless you truly believe one or the other your argument is patently false. So....(I ask again) is DM in with Bill conning the fans or is he being conned along with the rest of us?
  3. Can't comment because in all honesty I can't bring myself to look at it . Didn't look at the Eduardo one either. May be to do with seeing my dad get a horrific break playing football when I was a lad....bone sticking out of the shin . Just can't watch these bad ones.
  4. Reminds me of the scene in "Slumdog Millionaire." :sick01: Nasty.
  5. They shouldn't do, it's in the site guidelines... We downsized a couple recently, if you see any that are that big then let someone know. Bill's best for that sort of thing .
  6. Lost me there because it's plain there's a rant coming . "Apologists" makes the assumption that someone has done something to apologise for....presumably BK....which I don't accept. Unless you want him to apologise for not being a billionnaire (I think he did once didn't he?) . While we're at it, I apologise for not being a billionnaire also . Anyway (my opinion) we've come out of the window with the club in a slightly better position financially and with a stronger squad than we had a year ago. Would have liked another player or two but the quality is certainly moving in the right direction. 8/10 for me....much better than last year.
  7. Don't think there's any dig in there. Lazy & misleading headline. “Ossie has always been someone that we can rely on. He always starts the season off a bit rusty but when he gets his form back, he can be a really important player for us.” "Ive said before that Ossie is part of the bricks here, but he knows he must work really hard and play well if were going to get the players I want in." But so will the rest of the squad. He is now at an important time in his career. We value him really highly and I want him to get back into good form. He is a key member for us.
  8. Not really consciously seen the bloke but I've rarely (probably never) seen such excitement around a potential signing (patto excepted) so it looks good. Think in the circumstances we should give special recognition to whoever was clever enough to start the thread..... ....Oh, wait a minute .
  9. Thanks for the info Beard. Wondered what it was all about .
  10. Agree with that. Drawing attention to physical defect or disablity is out of order imo whatever he's done.
  11. "In addition to the match referee and two assistant referees on the touchline, two extra assistants are placed behind the goalline, with the mission of focusing on incidents which happen in the penalty area, such as fouls or misconduct. " http://www.uefa.com/uefa/keytopics/kind=524288/newsid=835399.html
  12. BBC 0925: Although deadline day passed in Spain at midnight, I believe they are allowed to sell players to Premier League clubs today, so Everton should be able to get Atletico Madrid defender Johnny Heitinga and Valencia midfielder Ever Banega, should they so wish.
  13. Made me laugh a lot on a stressful (for many reasons) morning. Thank-you .
  14. Think that's a very good point. We don't want (like patto said) players who are purely looking to move for money (and with our structure we're unlikely to get them), and we don't want players who are going to use us as a stepping stone to better (higher paid) things. But we need to be realistic; they all seem to be motivated by money.....and just maybe if we can get them through the door by pointing to J-Low's new pay packet they may just want to come. Then...better players...break top four...massive investment...Champions League winners 2014 . Simple .
  15. Bookies have got it down as pretty much a two horse race... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/europa-league/europa-league-group-i/win-market Greek sides can be dangerous but AEK look to have had a pretty bad season last year. The "big three" over there (AEK, Panathinaikos, Olympiakos) are normally even more secure at the top than our sky four but they dropped out of it for only the second time in ten years last season (maybe longer but that's as far as I looked). Away form screwed them; they only won three out of fifteen and scored only nineteen....although they only lost one...drew eleven.
  16. And it winds other people up that people are calling him a legend. It's not something that people are going to change their mind on (Marmite analogy someone mentioned was spot on). Think it's best left alone....it'll be back time and again for sure though .
  17. It's about impact on the game....time on the pitch is irrelevant I think. If a game's a tedious 0-0 and someone comes on as a sub after 85mins and scores then he's very likely to be the man. Don't have to go far back for an example, cup replay against Liverpool in Feb Gosling got 15 MOTM votes from the bench...even VDM got 5....although the winner was Jags with 32 .
  18. Are you correcting me or Calico Louis?
  19. Don't think it needs a clause...pretty sure regulations don't allow a player to play against their "parent" club.
  20. He won't be. South Africa have failed to qualify . (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_(CAF)...scroll down to group 4)
  21. Binge drinking ? That's 90% of the teenagers in the country done for then (not to mention most of our members....Aaron's going down for life ).
