  1. Think he was mixing his James's....McFudge & Vaughan . He is an American after all and you know how they struggle with the English language :cowboy: .
  2. The thread had nothing to do with tennis until I hi-jacked it . It was all about looking at ample breasted women in short skirts (Bill's mastermind specialist subject ).
  3. Had mate....very much past tense .
  4. Hmmmm... Sweden's Robin Soderling beats Nikolay Davydenko 6-1 6-3 6-1 in one hour 41 minutes to reach the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time.
  5. My thoughts exactly, the lad loves it but it's all a bit young for me . Does say new stock on the way though, so there may be something different.
  6. Just to embarrass myself....here we are . March 7th 1979. I'm 18, I had hair (a lot) and digital watches were still a pretty cool idea .
  7. Kipper are claiming credit for it . Though I think it was Taxi who put them onto it in the first place .
  8. According to this (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11979_5244802,00.html) Tim Howard won the goalkeeper vote. And if they took the position a while back Robert Green was winning....van der Sar has never been in the lead (or even close to it) since I've been looking, and that's since it was posted here. Fix! Well done for the rest though Taxi and everyone else .
  9. Two TTers in a cyber Embrace ! I stumbled across some old Dean Friedman last night, it's dated but specific memories of time, place and girlfriend were really extraordinary .
  10. This is so bloody tragic. Apparently the lad died of meningitis... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/sussex/8078490.stm
  11. Congratulations Mark (although I don't really know how good that is never having done one, you seem pleased so it must be OK ).
  12. SkyBet have us as favourites at 11/4. Only slightly ahead of Spurs and City at 4/1 though. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/footba...transfer-window I don't think his wages at that level would cause the rest of the squad any problem. They're not daft, they know he's a higher profile player than they are and it's not as if £50k is on a different planet to what they're on. He's a world name, he'd add to the club's global profile. It'd be a gamble certainly but so was Andy Gray . Undecided personally....I think I'll leave this one to Davey .
  13. Didn't like the original in '83 and this is worse. The "V" is far too big.....the seam across the middle makes it look like a woman's shirt (though it may be useful to lift and separate the man-boobs of some of our larger supporters ). Just hope the next step isn't the "bib" shirt the last one morphed into. It may grow on me but I'm doubtful.
  14. I'd love to go to that. It'll be ridiculously expensive but I've been to West Africa before and swore I'd go back....combining it with watching Everton would be great. Won't happen though. They love their football so, as Mark said, it's a really positive thing for the club to do.
  15. Always vote.....hmmm, could go into long political rant but decides against it . Won't vote for either of the main parties (and never have) so I'm left with a choice of about another fifteen ( ), from the BNP to Socialist Labour, from xenophobes to independence for Cornwall to "Fair Pay Fair Trade Import Only Fair Pay Products." Possibly vote Green, I have before, or maybe Libdem, or maybe the Pensioner party (get them into power for when I need them ). What's the penalty for not voting holy?
  16. Nice site. Some of the clothing is decidedly iffy though . What's with the wavy line on everything? Made me feel seasick :sick01: . Some of the jackets are embarrassing....or is this just me being old ?
  17. Here's a funny thing....looking back over a previous MOTM thread.... Opposition? Chelsea in December: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Ashley Cole, Mikel, Joe Cole (Ivanovic 46), Ballack, Lampard, Deco (Bridge 87), Anelka (Drogba 46). Admittedly they played a lot of the game with ten men, but interesting all the same.
  18. Wouldn't disagree with a lot of that and I've a lot of time for both of them, Ossie in particular. But you'd need to be very short-sighted not to acknowledge that they are two of the weaker links when we play the top teams. I wouldn't sell them, decent squad players but if we're going to move on we need quality all over the pitch.
  19. I agree. If you look at their team player for player they're much stronger than Arsenal and Liverpool, and probably (just) United as well. Playing to their potential (as they were under Hiddink) they'd have been favourites for me. There was a moment on Saturday when I first saw the line-ups I thought, "we're f'cked." Certainly wouldn't have got that feeling from any XI Liverpool or Arsenal could put out.
  20. Quite like it myself, just using a bit of comedic license....or not . Taxi!
  21. Ancelotti confirmed at Chelsea... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8076779.stm Anyone think they should have tried to get through til Hiddick became available again some time next year? Wilkins caretaking with Gus on the end of the phone when he needed him.
  22. Blue Monkey... "Theres a few Everton fans who post on this board like this fella and darker shade of blue that are worth 10 times the input that clowns like you put in." ....somebody loves you Taxi !
