  1. Blue Monkey... "Theres a few Everton fans who post on this board like this fella and darker shade of blue that are worth 10 times the input that clowns like you put in." ....somebody loves you Taxi !
  2. Personally it's financial. Got less disposable income and the increased price of petrol was a major factor in only coming up once this season (plus Saturday). Even made a conscious decision to drive more slowly on Saturday to minimise the cost, kept to 70/75 instead of flooring it which was difficult but effective, significant saving on the 500 mile round trip .
  3. Steve Bruce is virtually signed, sealed and delivered though. Anything but a big name and a very average manager imo. Not a bad one, but nothing special.
  4. Must piss you off listening to them all day mate <_< .
  5. Thanks for that JD, interesting. It is seeded is it? I believe the final qualifying round of the Champs League isn't this year. Nice easy draw would be great this time, and at least we don't start until the end of August....Fulham's first game will be at the end of July (Aberdeen 16th July).
  6. You could make a youtube vid of Leon Osman goals (eg Larissa, Sunderland, Macclesfield, second at Fulham last week to name a few) that would make him look an absolute genius. Not saying that Delph is a poor player, I've not seen him, but a compilation of a few goals proves nothing . Er, specially when they're against Crewe and Walsall .
  7. He's been around a while, 24, decent enough player, world top twenty. One of those perfect matches for him though, won't last, he'll probably lose his next game .
  8. Apologies for corrupting the thread with talk of tennis, but.... Nadal's just been knocked out of the French Open . Andy Murray already into quarters and was due to play Nadal in the semi.....gives him a great chance of winning the thing. Probably play Federer if he makes the final but he's beating him on a fairly regular basis now .

  10. £7m for an unproven League One nineteen year old with thirteen yellow cards and a drink-driving conviction to his name this season. Sounds like a DM signing .
  11. Listening to 606 a Chelsea fan came on complaining about Evertonians in his Chelsea section. They were not causing any trouble but were moved out after about 30 mins he said (hopefully they were found somewhere else to sit). He was moaning about the "cock-up with the allocation" until Alan Green pointed out the obvious....that Chelsea fans had flogged on their tickets for a profit. Bloke wouldn't have it, there were too many for that to have been the case he said.
  12. Dolce is finally fit enough to move away from the hospital, and as such van der Meyde is able to look for a transfer to another club. "Things are going well with her," Van der Meyde told De Telegraf. "In the last two years, a number of clubs wanted to sign me, but we were not willing to take Dolce away from that hospital and her doctors. "Everton did not understand that, they thought that I was just staying here for the money. "Dolce was the reason that I wanted to stay, but that was not apparent to them. "We can move Dolce now, so we have plenty of options, including the Netherlands." The versatile winger says that despite Moyes' attempts to 'destroy' his career, he has kept himself in good shape and is ready to devote his services to another club. "Moyes is a worthless man who tried to destroy me, but he didn't succeed. You cannot write me off," Van der Meyde added. "I am running on the treadmill every day and I'm fully fit and, for once, I hope to stay fit for a while. "Last summer, I had a good pre-season, but just before the start of the campaign I suffered a six-centimetre tear in my hamstring "When I was fit, I was hardly given any opportunities. On several occasions, I was told that I would be in the squad on the Saturday, but then when I arrived at the stadium, I would end up in the stands." The former Ajax star also denied suggestions that he has an alcohol problem. "I don't deny that I occasionally like to go out in the city, but it is nonsense to suggest that I don't know how a professional is supposed to behave."
  13. What pissed me off big time that I'd not noticed before (because I'd not watched presentations at the new Wembley) was the fact that the players walk up through the corporate wanker seats to get their medals. At the old place it was a highlight watching them getting smothered by real fans on the way up and ending up with fifteen scarves and three hats on each. Now the only danger is getting Marie Rose sauce on their shirt .
  14. Can't think of what to say. I'm f'ckd. Proud of the guys and a day to remember, particularly the first thirty seconds . But Chelsea were just too strong, no weak links.....think we probably lost the game when Barcelona got that goal in the 93rd minute .

  16. That could be true also you miserable pessimistic bastard . Phil McNulty blog is nice.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/200..._defy_odds.html
  17. Getting an error on that Louis .
  18. What he said^^^^^. Quite right! Really could be on the verge of something here. Little bit more quality in depth over the summer and a little luck with injuries and things could move on to another level. Most optimism around for twenty-four years! Exciting times!
  19. No, that was Sussex .
  20. Just the place mate (Glastonbury festival isn't actually in Glastonbury anyway, it's in Pilton which is seven miles away and much closer to Shepton Mallett, affectionately known locally as Shit'n Smellitt ). We had our first place together in the town and Josh was...er...created there. Good job we didn't go for the Beckham method of naming children . Go back every year if we can.....it's a good place to be .
  21. Goodison Park. Need to be with other Evertonians and for me that's the second best place to be. I've got tickets in separate blocks but I've been in touch with Ian Ross and Andy Ward (who's arranging beamback) and they've both said the stewards should be able to sort us seats together. Leave home by 8.30 having set the Sky+ for Setanta & ITV coverage. Get there nice and early and enjoy the day. If there's any natural justice in the world it'll be a day to remember for all the right reasons. The car decoration will start any time soon !
  22. He knows I'd have coped with the guilt Jamie . And he'd have understood. He's a good lad. (Now will you go to bed!!!)
  23. Can't win them all mate. We've got two beamback tickets (thanks to StevO for the second one) and we'll find somewhere to sleep the night if (when) we win so we can be there for the parade . I'd have felt like a shit going to Wembley and leaving Josh at home anyway.
  24. Nothing big this year, bit of camping in August probably....Glastonbury . Big plans for next year though, my fiftieth birthday so armed with 15,000 Air-Miles (prob 17,000 by then) we're gonna be doing something special....either long haul or a long stay (3 weeks minimum) somewhere nearer.
