  1. Talking of Hull, did anyone notice Kevin Kilbane played at center back for them yesterday ! Can't get my head round that at all .
  2. Going to be very interesting to see what he says about his time at the club, if anything....and also Moyes' take on it, though we'll probably have to wait on his autobiography for that. None of us know all the facts but most of us think we know enough to judge. Reserving mine. I hope he does well wherever he goes...bye Andy....and thanks for the cross!
  3. Ran out of steam months ago, been shit recently.
  4. We certainly do, got a nice response from Lescott last season. Not over yet though, we should hopefully get a huge response to the Final vote, and there's a couple within range of Pienaar (Fellaini and Baines) who could snatch it at the last moment if they get a high percentage of the vote. Or even...hat-trick from TC and 100 people vote? Could happen .
  5. Update on the OS....all tickets now allocted but.... "Some supporters are still to be contacted if they entered the non STH ballot or were included in STH and zero additional games/attended 19 Premier League games ballot. This will be taking place in the next 48 hours ..."
  6. Watching Chelsea's goals last night (and all season) brought home the biggest threat we need to counter next Sunday. They are more lethal from outside the box than any other team in the league surely. Drogba, Anelka and Lampard in particular need to be closed down otherwise they'll take pot shots from distance all game and one or two are bound to go in. Worryingly our defence backing off is a regular problem. On the upside our two recent weakest links, Ossie and Saha, seem to be coming good just in time. The build up starts here....I'm as excited as I was as an eight year old in 1968 (66 passed me by somehow ) . Bring it on!

Nice thought Aaron but it was the wrong way round. We won the cup in the 65/66 season and beat Fulham in 66/67 .
  8. 0.7%. My vote made all the difference .

Taxi has broken nose <_< .
  10. Technical tweaks Louis really; aerodynamic changes, slick tyres returned. The reason (one of them) that Brawn have done so well is that Honda gave up on last season very early on when they realised they were crap and threw all their weight behind developing this years car. Not just that, it's a bloody great car and Button has shown himself to be a top notch driver given decent equipment. Up with the best he's ever worked with according to Brawn, and as that includes Schumacher thet's praise indeed.

  12. They'll find others soon enough. While Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Cayman Islands, Channel Islands and the rest offer the service ways will be found of getting money there, no question.
  13. Not disputing that, United don't do bad players at any level, but still gives Hull a great opportunity.
  14. ManU squad for today.... Kuszczak, Amos, Neville, Brown, De Laet, Ferdinand, Chester, Eckersley, Simpson, Fabio, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Tosic, Martin, Drinkwater, Macheda, Welbeck. With a few exceptions that's a third team .
  15. Jenson has more fuel on board than anyone else in the top eight. Alonso in 9th is the first car that can run further than him. Makes that lap even more spectacular. Should win again, barring breakdown/accident. (BBC TV disagreeing with the BBC website, they say Barichello has a lap more fuel than Jenson, web says he has a lap less)
  16. I resent that. Peter Reid is a truly beautiful human being .
  17. The point is that they don't Aaron. The Mail is playing with words to get you to hate the government so you vote Tory next time (that's the whole point of its existence) . They still get their tax free allowances, they still pay tax at lower rates for a portion of their income. 50% of their money being taken is just not true (even without taking Jim's "extra curricula income" into account).
  18. Six Premier League moments of the season from the Guardian... 4) Phil Neville's tackle, Everton 1-1 Man Utd, 25 October Many a tackle has turned the course of a game, but Phil Neville's on Cristiano Ronaldo turned a whole season. It's easy to forget, so adroitly and unobtrusively did this most admirable of teams regroup after the blessing in disguise of an early European elimination, but Everton were a desperate mess at the start of the season: short on players (look at their foetal bench for the first Premier League game) and haemorrhaging goals. In the eight games before they faced United, they took eight points and conceded 18 goals. That's the same number they have conceded in the 28 games since Neville's tackle, a zesty, calculated, ball-and-man reducer for which he was booked, catalysed a rousing 1-1 draw against the champions that enabled Everton to stop the bleeding. At that stage they were 14th in the table, but within a week they were seventh and have not dropped out of the top half since. The tackle even has its own Facebook group, and enabled Neville to win over a genuinely sceptical home crowd. But it was the effect on the collective rather than the personal that was most important http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/20...near-joy-of-six
  19. Thought you were being ironic for the first half of that Aaron....can't believe you're serious. They won't lose 50% of their money anyway....if you take the example they've given, Ronaldo paying an extra £670,000, that's "only" an extra £13,000 a week out of his £125,000. Sure he (and the rest) will struggle on . For me it's totally justified, they're lucky it's not more. Historically in the last century the top rate was always much higher....Maggie Thatcher reduced it (from 83%) to 60% in 1979. Was only dropped to 40% in 1988. It's a disgrace and a betrayal of their roots that the Labour Party havn't increased it sooner and by more imo .
  20. That's put a big smile on my face. Exciting times.
  21. Having a look round other forums to see what's going on it seems that the final (non STH) ballot winners will be informed by phone Tuesday/Wednesday. Quite a few people have been told that by the box office. I live in hope . Winners in the "less than three credits" ballot have been rung today....though maybe not all of them.
  22. Vitually impossible to overtake at Monoco onder any reguations. Michael Schumacher in a Ferrari would struggle to get past me in my 306 .
