After a little lie down I've just realised that I misread your post a bit Carl....when you said, "we're now possibly out of the UEFA and the Champions League running." I read it as being out of the UEFA running for next season when you were referring to being out of this season's competition . Apologies. And like 250 says, congratulations on your wedding!! Still think people are getting unneccessarily out of shape over one result though. Fail to beat West Ham next Saturday and we can start to get a little nervy, but not yet.

What the fuck are you talking about? This reaction (not just yours Carl) is completely beyond me. One league defeat (apart from Arsenal & ManU) in five fucking months and it's the end of the world. We've matched the top three point for point for nineteen games....half a season ffs...semi final of the Carling Cup, excellent run in Europe, coped with the ACN and we're only eleven points off the top of the table. Complete fucking dreamland at the start of the season....even more so after a dodgy start and only thirteen points from the first ten games. Get a grip people. We're still red hot with the bookies for fifth. If we were sixth or seventh looking at a team 6/7 points ahead of us and a far superior goal difference with only eight games left we'd give ourselves no chance at all of catching them. That's what Pompey and Villa are looking at!!! Excuse me while I go lie down in a darkened room.
  3. Cashier has £30 and gives £5 of that to the waitress to return to the men: £30 - £5 = £25. The waitress keeps £2 for herself: £5 - £2 = £3. The men each end up with £1 each. Total it up: (3 x £1) + £2 + £25 = £30.

Is it? We're still red hot favourites for fifth. Villa have taken one point from their last two games...seven points behind us with eight games to go, Pompey are now closer, six points behind but with a much worse goal difference. Don't panic!

Disappointing but perspective needed. This is the first really bad result, the first unexpected loss in the league since St James' Park. That was five and a half months ago. It happens to all teams...it's happened to all the top four this season and it always will happen. A real pain and a missed opportunity but not the end of the world.

Unchanged... David Moyes has named an unchanged starting XI for today's clash with Fulham. That is little surprise after the quality of the performance against Fiorentina in the midweek Uefa Cup encounter at Goodison Park. And with Tim Cahill still not recovered from a hip and foot problem and Victor Anichebe failing a late fitness test and missing out on a place on the bench, the manager's options are very defensive amongst the substitutes. Teenager Jack Rodwell is joined by fellow defender Nuno Valente, Tony Hibbert and Leighton Baines as the outfiled options on the sidelines. The starting line-up once again sees Leon Osman and Lee Carsley partnering in the centre of midfield, with Mikel Arteta and Steven Pienaar likely to switch between flanks in a bid to unlock the Fulham defence and end Everton's 42 year wait for a victory at Craven Cottage. Former Everton players Brian McBride and Simon Davies are included in Roy Hodgson's starting line-up as David Moyes begins his seventh year as manager of Everton against the club he first faced as Goodison chief. ....just carry on playing like Wednesday and it'll be a stroll...hopefully .
  7. Missed that one, I'll have to check it out before I decide on a response .
  8. Amazing the lengths some people will go to to prove Craccer wrong . There was never any concern for Snoopy though JD, the Red Baron can sleep no easier .
  9. Nice to hear from outside....appreciate you taking the time .
  10. I'm liking the concept Jamie....you'll go far . My eldest daughter, while studying Art at Nottingham Uni, made a film which involved her getting on and off trams and pointing her camera at the passengers. She was very proud of it and presented it to us as "Art." Now I love her dearly (and I didn't, in her case, suggest the naked lady route) but there are some things in the woorld I don't understand and that was one of them. Don't tell her I said so though . I once came across an "artist" who strapped a tape recorder to themselves and walked through the Rotherhithe Tunnel under the Thames. The recording was supposed to be art. Life is confusing.
  11. And may I suggest you consider the inclusion of naked ladies in future productions .
  12. If not, do you plan any naked ladies in your next film?
  13. Are there any naked ladies in it?

Bit pissed off Mark Lawrenson has tipped us to win on Sunday. He's had us down for two draws and a loss in our last three and we've proved him wrong, was kind of hoping to keep the sequence going .
  15. Lived ten years in Wimbledon from mid-eighties, few stops on the District Line . Not that I ever had need to go to Craven Cottage though, just got off at Fulham Broadway for Stamford Bridge. Was in the days of total police control of away fans, so that after the game we'd be marched to the station and they'd not let me cross over to the other platform....used to have to go one stop towards the center, get off and go back the other way .
  16. Priced and timed it up so many ways and times Craccer...alone, with Josh, train, car, coach and no matter which way I try to afford it or pay for it I can't . Just tried again to see if the train fares have come down but they've gone up . So bloody difficult to get to a game the price petrol is now, may have to look at joining "Westcountry Blues" next season. Much prefer to do my own thing if I can but it's getting silly....enjoy the game...and keep your fingers crossed for me that Bristol City get promotion, looks like Plymouth are going to come up short in the ply-offs though. Not that you'd want a pint with me anyway ! Dunno though, we could talk about Jeremy Kyle .

    Speed.

How can you know that? To be certain you'd need to know what was there before there was light, just as possible to say that light is there because darkness isn't. "God said, 'Let there be light,' and everyone said, 'Fuck me, where did that come from (and at what speed)?'" And they decided to ask Bill, because he was the oldest and wisest even then . Thus endeth today's lesson .

    Speed.

My instinct would be that, as Craccer said... ....and as darkness is a lack of, and the opposite of, light, then it would have the same speed. As light is travelling minding its own business in the fast lane at 299,792,458 m/s what is it displacing (or leaving behind) but dark? So the speed at which dark is either appearing or disappearing is the same. QED. But that's obviously not the right answer....because it's too obvious and if it was obvious you wouldn't be asking the question Bill .
  19. Very iffy on race historically, and not too long ago (Pauline Hanson??), though us Brits are hardly in a position to preach ....and recent events seem to be putting right some wrongs. Surf. Sun. Sport. Spiders. Snakes.
  20. Bought Josh Transformers PC game. Works fine on his laptop but when I put it on the PC it's like it's running in slow motion, did a system check for the game on the PC (even though it's way higher spec than the laptop and both are Vista) and it's more than capable of running it. Want to run it on the PC because the graphics are so much better....seems strange to me, any ideas anyone?
  21. Are you JV under-cover jacko ?
  22. Looks like Bolton are going out. Rangers through though, only lost 1-0 despite Bremen having 37 shots and 19 corners . That must've been a hell of a game!
  23. Had to register to see that Craccer but it was well worth it, very funny ! I want to go on there so I can tell him that me working and paying vast amount of tax paid for his mother's child benefit so I bought his school blazer for him.....do you think that's fair JEREMY!!! If only life were as simple as Jeremy Kyle's brain .
