  1. By picking an unchanged winning team? Don't be stupid, the players take the blame. Settle for 1-0 right now.
  2. Tim Howard MOTM at the mo....by a street.
  3. Sorry Joe. We're giving it away far too much <_< . Conditions awful? Crowd calling for AJ already , maybe he's just warming up. Keep it square til half time then we have the wind .
  4. I don't know, I've never got the train but if you pay my fare I'll come and show you . Could find it once I got my bearings....it's about three miles from Lime Street. Send me a pm and I'll give you my bank details to forward the money...is it OK if I bring my son ? PS...we'll pay for our own match tickets .
  5. We can have both Jamie. Seven subs in Europe . Fernandes has been desperately disappointing imo. Not quite given up on him yet but £12m is out of the question in my view. Tonight I want to score at least one goal and to concede less than three. Anything better that that I'll be delighted. This is up there with the Villarreal game in terms of difficulty but we're a much better side now and we have the great advantage of being away in the first leg. Very much looking forward to it!!

Crvena Zvezda is a literal translation of Црвена звезда (Red Star Belgrade in Serbian), translated into the Latin alphabet so we can pronounce it .
  7. Hate to mention it but you managed it at Goodison, with a little help. And at Villa And at Derby And at home to 'Boro And, if you think about it very hard, as every game starts at 0-0, Derby could claim (with just as much credibity as you) that the only reason they're not still in the running for the title is their inability to turn draws into wins. Your logic reminds me of an old song lyric, "I could be a millionaire, if I had the money." And you didn't answer why you started referring to Liverpool as "rubbish."
  8. ....must be the North American continent influence in his house currently Craccer. No real excuse but a plea in mitigation .
  9. Curiously Charlie if you do a search of this thread you'll find the only person who's referred to Liverpool as rubbish, even ironically (or a Freudian slip perhaps?), is you. Sarcasm doesn't work well when the target is imaginary, comes across more like paranoia.
  10. The squad from the OS... Everton squad: Tim Howard, Iain Turner, Stefan Wessels, Tony Hibbert, Phil Neville, Joleon Lescott, Joseph Yobo, Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, Mikel Arteta, Leon Osman, Lee Carsley, Tim Cahill, Steven Pienaar, Yakubu, Victor Anichebe, Andrew Johnson, Dan Gosling, Jack Rodwell.
  11. Don't think it'll make any difference to that result either .
  12. He's not listed as injured on the OS.
  13. I thought all students got up early anyway to watch Jeremy Kyle and Fern whatsit . Have I been misled?
  14. Funny the timing of Liverpool supporters coming out of the woodwork . They've hit a little patch of form and matched us for the first time in four months and whoooooosh, faster than a speeding bullet. The fact is that we (and Clattenberg) gave them a significant head start. After ten games they were unbeaten and had twenty points, we had thirteen. They dismiss our current position as, "a decent run of form that has seen you go level with us on points," but that decent run of form has been going on for more than four months now. More than a run imo. We'd have settled for fifth at the start of the season, we're in a very close contest for fourth....not favourites, as DM rightly says (no mind games, just realism...look at the bookies odds). Liverpool wouldn't have settled for fourth at the start of the season. Incidentally, just out of interest, points won after the first ten games. Chelsea have played seventeen, the rest all eighteen... ManU 41 Chelsea 40 Everton 40 Arsenal 39 Liverpool 33
  15. Goof grief here we go...where did I say that exactly? Anyway..next three games Liverpool play Newcastle, reading and ManU.. While we play Sunderland, Fulham and Wham. So form would suggest that we'll go to Anfield in fourth place, may not happen that way but that would be favourite. Still in our own hands, but Liverpool can say the same thing. Good stuff .
  16. Don't think it'll make any difference to the result tbh.
  17. Full strength again tonight... 25 Reina 17 Arbeloa 37 Skrtel 23 Carragher 06 Riise 08 Gerrard 20 Mascherano 14 Alonso 19 Babel 18 Kuyt 09 Torres Can't really expect them to drop any points from the next three games, home to Wham, Newcastle and Reading. We're just gonna have to keep winning ourselves .
  18. I've shifted all the stuff from when this topic went into a parallel universe into "Introductions."

  20. When you put it like that JD, sounds easy....bring on Bayern !!! Pleased to see btw that we're on ITV again instead of Five. Slightly annoying that we're on ITV4 while Spurts are on ITV1, surely on all the evidence so far us v Fiorentina is more attractive than them v PSV? Caught the BBC "Let's show 'Boro as the live match" stupidity .
  21. Had half an eye on it, pretty impressive stuff. Nice also to give the English a bit of a psychological advantage over the Italians before Thursday. They can have their revenge at the San Siro next week .
  22. The best (and weirdest) one for me was when I went out to get a paper on Saturday 9th September 2006, popped into Tony Pryce Sports (which is a south-west only chain of ten shops) in Tiverton and was stunned to see an away shirt, in my size, among the usual "big" four stacked shelves. It was a sign I felt sure so I bought it (over list price from memory) and six or seven hours later me and the shirt were celebrating the 3-0 win over Liverpool . Proved to me that there if there is a God, he's a blue .
  23. Reminds me that last season I got the previous years (05/06) 2nd (yellow) and 3rd (grey) shirt for me plus second for Josh for £10 each in Taunton. They had shed-loads of them. Just shows extremely poor stock control really, though I was happy at the time and it's the only season when we both ended up with the full set .
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7277981.stm Can't see any too serious consequences (unless it's UEFA preparing the ground to keep us out in case we qualify for the Champs league and Liverpool don't) but we could do without it. I think I'm only joking there....
