  1. Havant and Waterlooville are ten minutes away from a game at Anfield, 4-2 up on Swansea. Love it....hang in there guys!
  2. Dave Watson was made first team captain in January 1992, succeeding Kevin Ratcliffe. As he was at the club 'til 2001 and Horne was only there from 92 to 96 that'd suggest that, even though he did captain the team on the pitch he was never Club Captain. So it depends on your definition.
  3. My kid brother paid for it....fuck knows how he got hold of that sort of money 'cos he was only twelve at the time .
  4. Captaining the side is different to being official club captain though isn't it? Thought. Wouldn't have Dave Watson been club captain during that time?
  5. In 1976 I rode into London on my moped (FS1E for any of my era ) and got one of the original ping/pong machines. There was a special offer on at Hamleys, they were £29.95 . To put that into perspective when I left school and started working the next year my first wage was £28 a week.
  6. My thoughts also. I know I've rattled on about it before but if it wasn't for Faddy's goals against Charlton at the end of last season and then in Kharkiv we'd probably be in a lot poorer shape than we are.
  7. Speaking as a victim of the condition (what's left of it anyway ) and being married to one and the father of one I hope you're not being gingeist <_< . It's against the terms and conditions . Should be anyway .
  8. I would certainly but with his current reputation I think he'd be too expensive, if he leaves City (which I doubt).
  9. Likewise...have a good day!
  10. The woman interviewing him is the obnoxious one, cheeky cow. Could have happened to anyone....if someone talked to one of my kids like that I'd tell them to fuck off, she's asking for attitude back 'cos she's talking to him like he's a three year old. I would encourage attitude like that in the circumstances <<<glasses on .

Look at the picture underneath his name and then have a think about who he may be talking about .
  12. Not school but work. Did some research (in the early days when software was on cassettes) on the practicality of high speed recording of the computer signal reliably onto analogue tape. It's an impossibility to copy exactly (can only have instantanious change of amplitude, ie a square wave, on a digital medium) . Anyway had to buy a game at one point for some reason, got Manic Miner on Commodore 64. ADDICTED .
  13. According to the bookies we're the second most sure thing to get into the last sixteen (1-5). Only Bayern are shorter odds (1-8) to beat Aberdeen.
  14. You can't buy it unless you qualify Louis... "All supporters are advised that if they do not meet the ticket eligibility criteria then they should not make an application to either the Club or Thomas Cook, as this will ultimately slow the allocation process down."
  15. Er...if his name is Khaled Nasra how can he have no name?
  16. Also on BBCi & BBC3 (>>LINK<<). Looking forward to it!
  17. Details have been posted on the OS...>>LINK<< 950 allocated for the away leg . Another chance gone (for the likes of me anyway).
  18. Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is understood to be considering whether to sue the club's co-owner Tom Hicks after he made the startling admission that he tried to line up Jurgen Klinsmann to replace him. Although Hicks claims the move for the former Germany manager was an "insurance policy" in case Benitez walked out on Anfield, the Spaniard is now weighing up whether he can take legal action against the Dallas billionaire for constructive dismissal. He is said to be furious at what he sees as another attempt to undermine his position, which comes just one month after Hicks and co-chairman George Gillett reassured Benitez that he had their full support. But following Hicks' comments, in an interview with the Liverpool Echo, the Spaniard's position now looks untenable. Oops .
  19. Interesting (is the analyser your brain JD ?). Like you say it's Liverpool's to lose, and City's fixture list would seem on the face of it to be the easiest. The thing about them though is that they are such a different team away from home that any game is difficult for them. Also think they'll be found out at home now people know what they're about. Between us and Villa in my view and we have the edge, so I think the bookies have got it right when they make us favourites for fifth (and fourth is possible if Liverpool continue to self destruct). We've got Wigan and Blackburn away and Spurs and Reading at home before the African lads get back, if we van get (at worst) seven points from those (hopefully more) we'll be right in it. We need fifth to make certain of Europe, and I think we'll do it.

Been a feature of the run that we've been reliable in this type of game but historically you're right. Only really Reading and Newcastle earlier in the season where we should have taken something from the games and didn't. No reason why we shouldn't win here. At least the Sunday KO gives Ossie an extra day to get fit .
  21. Played there in October so nothing to gain short term in the Rafael mental instability game .
  22. Just what I thought . Oh, and #2 is m, #9 is p and #10 is either (n)orth, (s)outh, (e)ast or (w)est .
