  1. Would that be Boots the Chemist or 90% off a pair of thigh length PVC's in FetishesRus ?
  2. We're talking ideal world money and planning and logistics no object in this thread. You'd be very hard pushed to find any Evertonian who'd want to go to Kirkby if there was a practical alternative (which many people think there is). That doesn't neccessarily make everyone anti-Kirkby.
  3. Telegraph have got a site detailing what they think are the best and worst bit's of transfer window business....a few interesting ones... Best 5. David Unsworth Sheff United to Wigan - undisclosed 2007. Scored goal that kept Wigan up, thereby relegating team who sold him. 6. Mikel Arteta Real Sociedad to Everton - £2m 2005. Has become an integral part in the Moyes-inspired resurrection of Everton. 25. Alan Stubbs Sunderland to Everton - undisclosed 2006. Returned to Goodison to become a defensive rock. Worst 13. James Beattie Southampton to Everton - £6m 2005. Never a consistent goalscorer at Southampton; things didn't get started at Everton. and, nothing to do with Everton but so true... 1. Jean-Alain Boumsong Rangers to Newcastle - £8m 2005. Accident-prone defender who did much to undermine Graeme Souness' position. Full article is HERE if you want a look.
  4. No real advantage in going second in this imo. You just score as much as you can....there was definite advantage in DOND because you knew when to duck out but personally in something like this I'd rather go first so you don't need to keep checking the score to see how close you are.
  5. Beatles is difficult. Stones would be easy ("Paint it Black" by a mile). Off the top of my head and without having a listen to engage the memory I'd say... "She's leaving Home" Beautiful.
  6. ....and he got his highest ever score at the first attempt . That's my boy !
  7. Was just going to post the same thing .
  8. Poor performance and for the second tournament in a row I'm beaten by the Fish. At the end of the day it was a game of two halves and I'm sick as a parrot. The honour of O now rests with Joshua....no pressure lad .
  9. One of the most memorable days of my life up to that point, the game after Bally died, got a last minute ticket for the Gwladys and it was really special. Then it fell apart . Wouldn't have missed it for the World though.

Not good. According to that he's picking from a squad of fifteen which includes Wessels, Ossie and Baines. Leaves us with only two outfield players on the bench if Ossie an Baines miss out .
  11. Neil Young is God. My wife loves Newton Faulkner. Great guitar player imo but a bit hit and miss with the songs. Between old and new Billy Bragg is phenomenal, not the finest musician ever but lyrically (and politically) spot on.
  12. Can't get at the main PC at the mo so had a practise on Josh's laptop and got 26,400....so now I don't know which one to use .
  13. Dennis Wise? Two more already added to the "team" with "one or two more key appointments (including Shearer?)" to come. No-one sacked so they still have Pearson and others. And Wise reporting directly to the Chairman...not Keegan . Gonna need a board meeting to decide who sits next to who on the bus (and it'll need to be a big bus!). All sounds like a recipe for complete disaster to me. Lets hope so anyway .
  14. Must've looked just while they were playing. Hmmm 26,760 eh? Beatable but if you get up to your new best in the main game I'm stuffed .
  15. Fish & Romey have both played once and scored zero . I sense a glitch in the works again Bill.
  16. Right lads I'll get the petition registered! We have to fight this decision for the good of the country. Get me the Home Secretary on the phone !
  17. I'm amazed nothing's happening....his contract doesn't run out until summer 2009. Can't just keep paying him til then surely?
  18. Was called "The World's Biggest Mass Suicide" made by a guy called Stanley Nelson. I'd seen stuff on it before but this had so much footage and sound recording from the actual day, from the shootings at the plane right up to Jones urging them on to kill the children. Holy shit, in the name of religion?!? Wonder what goes on in any of the survivors heads, how do you get over that? Many were still defending Jones on some level, saying what a great man he was. Jeez. Need to watch it again to process it a bit further. Not just yet though.
  19. My little (er, he's 42 now ) brother used to be able to do it in 30 seconds max. You couldn't see his hands move , was in national competitions and all sorts the little geek . I, however, have no clue.
  20. It's just that you obviously have such a natural talent for it Bill . Think sharing it around is the way to go though personally...choosing the most suitable for each game. Dodge could do Liverpool for example .
  21. Difficulty is the lack of knowledge on an international basis that Everton is in Liverpool. People know of the city of Liverpool and of Everton FC but frequently don't realise the geography. Similar thing applied to Wimbledon where I used to live....everyone around the world has heard of Wimbledon and of London but they don't have any idea that Wimbledon is in London. It's wrong though I agree to push the red football clubs association without mention of Everton. Mentioned elsewhere Alexei Sayle suggesting you're only a "true scouser" if you're born within the sound of Anfield. It's crap and needs addressing, but it won'y be.

But we have a game in hand jacko. If we win the next two then even if they win at Fulham they're four points behind with Newcastle at home followed by trips to Reading (tricky) and Arsenal. We have Reading at home followed by tougher games at City and home to Pompey. Still expect us to be clear going into Sunderland, Fulham and Wham. No problem .

These next two games could define our season...league-wise. If we were to pick up six points (big ask) we'd then have clear space below us, with the probable exception of Liverpool. We'd be odds-on for fifth place and in a position to push on for fourth (with the African lads back) without having to worry too much about looking over our shoulders all the time. Four points from the two would be a bloody good performance also, would mean ten from twelve without Yak, Joey and Pienaar, we couldn't have hoped for more than that.
  24. At least three non-Premier League sides assured of a place in the last eight... Bristol Rovers v Southampton Cardiff City v Wolves Sheffield United v Middlesbrough Liverpool v Barnsley Manchester United v Arsenal Preston v Portsmouth Coventry City v West Brom Chelsea v Huddersfield Town ...possibly more. Can see Sheffield United beating 'Boro and Preston will have a shot against Pompey.
