  1. He lives in France, works for Airbus in Toulouse with shitloads of scousers . Look here..(LINK)then click the Championnat 2007/2008 link...he plays for Frogsbeefs in Groupe B, he's on the right in his team picture. You have up to four on a team and (I'm pretty sure) unlimited substitutions.
  2. Jorkyball. Big in France among other places...my brother plays it 2/3 times a week and loves it. Could it catch on here? Basically two a side footie in an area not much bigger than a squash court. Have my doubts. fwuP_0IhlgI
  3. Added to the fact that by 2012 you'll have eleven over age players .
  4. He was in Garth Crooks squad for "Team of the Week" on the BBC website, as was Arteta. Neville and Lescott were in the team (>>HERE<<). Hibbo was nowhere. Garth Crooks idiot. Case closed.
  5. When did he tell you that Mike? I sent him an email yesterday quoting the rule and all I got back was a question mark from his blackberry....about 4.30.
  6. This (from the Mail) had me worried for a bit Everton wait for next move over McFadden as McLeish plans Cahill bid. Don't panic. It's Gary Cahill at Villa .
  7. ANDREW JOHNSON and Leon Osman are expected to return to training this week, boss David Moyes has revealed. With the absence of Joseph Yobo, Yakubu and Steven Pienaar because of the African Cup of Nations, Moyes says he can't wait to have the pair back. Osman broke his toe before Christmas while Johnson missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Manchester City after taking a knock in training on Friday. Along with the arrival of Manuel Fernandes, the return of the duo will increase Moyes's options. The boss said: "Manchester City was the first test while we have players away, and we have a lot more to come. "Maybe by next week we will start to get one or two back from injury like Leon Osman and Andrew Johnson and Manny will be available.
  8. Can't see why he isn't, as JD said, this is the regulation... For all matches from the start of the round of 32, a club may register a maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition. Such registration must be completed by 1 February 2008 at the latest. This deadline cannot be extended. One player from the above quota of three who has played UEFA club competition matches for another competing club in the current season may exceptionally be registered provided that the player has not been fielded: − in the same competition for another club, − for another club that is currently in the same competition. Furthermore, if the player’s new club is playing in the UEFA Cup, his former club must not have played in the UEFA Cup at any point in the current season. From that it's completely clear that he does qualify. There's some stuff in the regs about five or six of the registered 25 needing to be "local" but that's not a problem for us. Don't understand it. Valencia didn't play in the UEFA cup and as they finished fourth in their Champs League group they're not in it.
  9. Think about it. Seven more wins in sixteen games and we've got 60 points, could be enough for Europe then even if we were to lose nine games! And that's not gonna happen! If we were to keep gathering points at the same rate we've done since Liverpool we'd finish on 73 points, which would be fourth at the worst. That's not gonna happen either (love to be proved wrong on that one ). Somewhere between I reckon. Exciting times anyway . If we can stay where we are until the lads get back from the ACN we'll be flying!
  10. MikeO

    Random Jokes.

    I didn't realise you'd started !!
  11. Can find no word of that anywhere Louis. Contacts again eh? Edit...it's on Twente's site....shame.
  12. Being 2-1 down from the first game at Stamford Bridge we need in the home leg to either... Win by more than one goal in 90mins. Win 1-0 in 120mins (including extra time). Win a penalty shoot-out if it finishes 2-1 to us after extra time. If we draw or lose in 90mins we're obviously out, and also if we lose by one goal with the score anything higher than 2-1 (3-2, 4-3 etc) in 120mins then we're out. Hope that's clear Kirsty . Best if we just win 4-0 I think....keep it simple .
  13. Watching his interview on EvertonTV he says he's not eligable for the UEFA Cup (which seems to go against the regulations according to JD ) but is OK for the Carling. In answer to the question.. "What can this side achieve in the second half of the season with your help?" ...he says.. "I hope we can consolidate the fourth place because third place is going to be difficult.....think some points behind Chelsea so try and stay as far as possible from the other teams that have the same points as us." Like his thinking.
  14. Thought. We've got thirty-nine points from twenty-two games. Not more than two or three years ago we'd start the season with the first ambition being forty points to be safe from relegation. Another draw and we're there, times have changed. Statistic. Since we were robbed by Liverpool we've played twelve league games (W8 D2 L2) and got twenty-six points out of a possible thirty-six. That's an average of 2.16 points a game...keep that going for a season and we'd end up with eighty-two points. Times are still changing.
  15. Wasn't it Glasgow? 1990 I think, been there before and since and the city's unrecognisable from what it was. Hopefully Liverpool will get similar long term benefit.
  16. Should be on sale any time now I'd have thought, this was the announcement on the Official site..>>>>>LINK<<<< Linited run I think so you'd probably be best contacting the store to see if you can reserve one.
  17. From the Manchester Evening News City player ratings..... "PETROV - Hibbert denied him the space and time afforded by other right backs and the Bulgarian found it hard work....6/10"
  18. City's first (and only) shot on target was on 92mins. Good job.
  19. Crooks and Palmer are creaming their pants over it Bill....strange. Sounds like a nice build-up from Neville and Arteta, be interested to see it. They also showed the lad hit the bar in the half time interval, driving off in a top range Audi apparently, good for him....some speculation Derby may be in for him next week .
  20. Don't think this has been posted elsewhere but anyway here's the OS confirmation... >>>>>LINK<<<<
  21. Quiet on here! Sounds an acceptable first half without being too inspiring....good goal though apparently, Goal of the Month contender according to the Beeb. Keep it like this and with Liverpool losing and playing shite by all accounts at 'Boro and we'll be fourth. Second goal early in the second half would put City to bed I think. COYB!!! Edit. Goal was Bergkamp-esque according to Garth Crooks !
  22. Quick, someone get onto JD to check the regulations . What time is it in DC?
  23. The bad news is that Anelka didn't play for Notlob in the Carling so isn't cup-tied . Could have done without that.
