  1. Old Roy Hodgson is getting on my nerves a bit with all this "our kids aren't up to it they might come good in the future" about Barkley &Co. So he's saying we won't win it if they play too much. Fair enough. That would indicate he thinks we're total no-hopers without them because the rest of the clueless fuckers aren't even going to give Costa Rica a sleepless night! Put up or shut up, Roy, you prick!
  2. That's settled then. When's his first game for us.
  3. Colback signing for Newcastle - the lad has no ambition.
  4. It's not an age thing with him for me, either. I'd have Drogba before him and Drogba's older. Eto'o never has had, doesn't have and never will have the right attitude to play for Everton, whether or not that's to do with money or ego doesn't matter. He's never had it, hasn't got it and never will have it. It might be our loss for the relative few games he might have done well in but striker is a position where we need to try and get some continuity.
  5. Which would explain his indifferent form despite the undoubted ability he occasionally shows. I've been known to become incredibly thirsty myself so I wouldn't judge him nor anybody else on that but if he is a piss head I hope Martinez does the sensible thing and sends him on his way with our good wishes.
  6. It's not predict the result but it is a prediction - had a go on a work sweep - guess the number of goals scored in the World Cup. 64 games, penalties scored from 4 possible penalty shootouts count. I've gone for 161
  7. What does a racist, corrupt, sexist bigot do to cover up his own racism? I know, accuse everyone else of being racist! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27762435
  8. Frigging hell! Jack Glass is on the floor again!
  9. I thought Henderson appealed for that handball really well.
  10. Oh good, here's Wellbeck and Henderson. I'll bet Ecuador are shitting themselves.
  11. Send Sterling and his petty, narky red arse back home on the next plane.
  12. Townsend; "Sterling certainly has the physicality to play in the 10 role" Other commentator 2 minutes later when Sterling runs in to and bounces off somebody; "Look at Sterling! There's nothing of him!" Townsend; "Yeah" Wochu talkin' 'bout, Andy?
  13. where the fuck was Barkley.....
  14. Townsend bigging Sterling up and he hasn't touched the ball yet. Oxlade-Chamberlain is England's best player tonight according to that gobshite.
  15. Phil Jones fell over himself and cleared it..
  16. England's midfield: Backwards Frank Sideways Jack Forwards Ross
  17. Fuck off Townsend! What an assist!!
  18. Barkley's confidence has been impressive, as you say. It's a shame his team mates aren't on the same wavelength. I thought he was going to do a Newcastle away, at one point, but for Oxlade-Chamberlain running towards him instead of away from him to create space and then Townsend blaming Barkley for not passing to O-C earlier. Within 30 seconds of the start of 2nd half, Townsend has already blamed Barkley for getting fouled!! He wouldn't have got fouled if he had moved the ball quicker, presumably to nobody who wanted it off him!!
  19. Smalling is so poor he makes Jones look like he, sometimes, knows what he's doing. Andy Townsend could do with blaming Ross Barkley a lot more often when things don't go right.... he doesn't blame Barkley half as much as he should do for everyone else's shortcomings; "Barkley went for glory, there....." "Barkley could have passed that earlier..." "Barkley could have done this, should have done that, might have done the other..........." Now Wilshere, on the other hand - his input so far; "Oh no, Wilshere's down (fallen over) and he doesn't look good. He's up but he's moving quite gingerly..." - well! There's a fucking shock!
  20. Fixed it on here for you, but not on Wiki......
  21. Not for long though, we soon shipped his arse off to Barcelona (which he mentioned the other night on one of those best & worst team programmes - not in a bad way just that it really set his career off). No wonder he never seems to mention he's ever even played for Everton, even though he owes his selection for that World Cup and scoring 40 goals (was it?) that domestic season to Messrs Sheedy, Steven and Stevens and not to the World Cup golden boot and subsequent transfer to Barcelona. One season at Everton made him, nobody and nothing else was responsible for that!
  22. Looking forward to the final episode of Happy Valley, BBC1 9pm, Tuesday. One of the best things that's been on terrestrial TV..... ever.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27652398 Montolivo carried off after 8 minutes of tonight's friendly - suspected broken leg
