  1. That's true. All games are now televised live in the US, most for free but some with subscription channels.
  2. Didn't I read last week that Chelsea are another team under financial investigation?
  3. Mark my words: These two guys are top prospects and will be household names before too long. Joke at your peril! (It is a rather spectacular name, though, I confess.)
  4. Haha. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66504891
  5. It would be a real shame to lose him, but what about 40m plus Shola Shoretire and Alvaro Fernandez?
  6. Our version of Little and Large: our very own comedy duo.
  7. I looked it up the other day: He is THE shortest in the squad.
  8. After this first game, I'm not really too worried. It's obvious to everyone that we need a recognized striker, and that's where all our recruitment initiatives are focused.
  9. 14th-15th. After today's game, I'm not so worried. With a recognized striker, we'll take advantage of our many chances.
  10. Then make it a loan with obligation to buy in one week's time.
  11. Our B team ought to be able to beat a League 2 side.
  12. The way it should be. Good move Everton. Just what we need.
  13. I'd assumed that Onana is the tallest player in our squad, but he's not: It's Branthwaite.
  14. Mind you, now he's built like an oil tanker, he'd be great covering in defence.
  15. I can't help but notice that you do the same as I do sometimes when writing: omit intended words (in this case, the word 'get'). It's happening to me more and more - I must be assuming I type the word but actually don't - and must be another sign of old age kicking in. It can be annoying when the missing word is 'not'! Mind you, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Maybe we could start our own game: What word did Palfy forget to type today?
  16. I get your point, but he's the owner. It's his money. He's coughed up hundreds of millions and will want to see a return on that. I'm sure he listens, but he has the right to act on instinct sometimes. He may have made expensive mistakes in the past, but in some cases it was from listening to others.
  17. I don't like the fact that he refused to play, though. If he'll do it to join Everton, maybe one day he'd do it to leave.
  18. Luton just blow my mind, what they've achieved over the last several years. Everyone expects them to be crushed this year, but let's see whether they can pull another rabbit out of the hat. And their stadium...
  19. Frankly, better options are now being mentioned. As the deadline approaches, we'll probably learn of several tentative negotiations in play, which is excellent. We'd be fools to overpay by focussing just on one player.
