I can't help but notice that you do the same as I do sometimes when writing: omit intended words (in this case, the word 'get'). It's happening to me more and more - I must be assuming I type the word but actually don't - and must be another sign of old age kicking in. It can be annoying when the missing word is 'not'! Mind you, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Maybe we could start our own game: What word did Palfy forget to type today?

I get your point, but he's the owner. It's his money. He's coughed up hundreds of millions and will want to see a return on that. I'm sure he listens, but he has the right to act on instinct sometimes. He may have made expensive mistakes in the past, but in some cases it was from listening to others.

Frankly, better options are now being mentioned. As the deadline approaches, we'll probably learn of several tentative negotiations in play, which is excellent. We'd be fools to overpay by focussing just on one player.
