With only three games played, I disagree with this. Look at ManU. In their first game, they won 4-1. When you look at the stats, though, the score did not reflect the balance of play. This has become evident in their most recent two game - no goals and just one point. Over the longer term, the number of goals for and against reflect the more fundamental stats - pass completion, chances created, amount of possession - so that's what we should continue to focus on.
