  1. yes mike i have just seen this, very sad. the american baseball player mike piazza who was the last hope to buy them (and said he would) bailed. from his apology and explanation it seems the club is so corrupt it wouldn't be worth purchasing. which makes one think if you buy it can't you fire everyone and put together a decent staff? maybe he didn't want to go through all the trouble.

good news for brescia though! relegated to third division but now since parma is out of the 2nd divison they have been reinstated! i bet they are super happy!

  2.

Blackpool should have been in the money then. For some odd reason, they're now in League 1.

It's a balance, right? Obviously, teams want to win (and personally I'd prefer doing that without buying our way there). Obviously, fans want to win in an entertaining manner. Let me ask you: Would you enjoy yourself more as a fan when finishing in the top four by playing a dour style or finishing 16th by playing bold, aggressive football?

exactly. i wasn't messing pad. if we played hoofball and won the league and cups and champs league do you think anyone would be canceling tickets? hell no. they'd be in more demand. winning is all that matters. now how you get to winning by playing a style, there's an argument there for sure. but to think that style is the most important thing is laughable. if we played beautiful football but were relegated all the way to the conference not many would show up.

winning matters. look at our style now, you all hate it, yet ticket sales were up over last year, why? we got 5th and made europa so people bought tickets cause we were winning. if the sales are down for this next year? not due to style, due to being 12th and not winning.

pad you are the perfect example, you still have your season ticket, you and your sons hate the style, but you still attend. if it really mattered (not calling you out just proving a point) you wouldn't attend, but it doesn't, everton is more important to you as a whole and therefore you support.

man united has such a rabid fan base because they were constantly winning. after that bad season with moyes look how many jumped ship and bailed. the real fans stuck by because they support the club not the style, but many many fans didn't because they just care about backing a winner. I realize most here are ultras or super fans so back the team regardless, but on the whole a large part of every fan base is not.

  3. There is nobody, not that would have any resale value anyway which is absolutely a must when a club like us pisses 28 million up the wall (not up front but still)

People were mentioning Wellbeck, after a semi decent side he's done absolutely fuck all for a much more free scoring team than us with much better players around, Bony maybe but no resale from him and he was only as proven as Lukaku was. CharlieAustin, Ings? Nobody else would probably ofcome on our wages to us I don't think.

Lukaku will come good I have no doubt about that. We will also get our money back off him regardless of how he does.

voice of reason. thank you. spot on.

  4. International football really has become a joke.

For England it has, but I see many other nations playing with pride and giving it their all. The cops America has been great and Argentina don't look like they are "looking to holiday".

The immense pressure and overhyped nature of your side is its downfall. Expecting a sub par side to be phenomenal is stupid, yet England expects and demands and then derides its side.

  5.

Odds on Tiger making 100+ :P?

Not seen it at all but was listening to some "expert" (can't remember who) on the radio saying it was the US trying to create a links course when they just don't have the conditions for it.

i think they had the odds on tiger at 120-. sad, he just isn't what he used to be. glad the young guys are coming up, mcilroy, fowler, etc. good for them.

  6. I've seen Villa want Huddlestone too - couple of good signings if they come off. It's still early but I'd be quite optimistic if I was a Villa fan - proven solid premiership players rather than stock piling cheap youngsters who may make the step up but haven't been good enough (Westwood aside). Sinclair could prove a decent buy for them too.

yeah sherwood knows what he's doing. he's a decent manager as well. i wonder if they will sell benteke its been very quiet lately on that front.

  7.

    Holy shit, yes!

Good keeper, never did bad at Arsenal in fairness.

Has anyone taken note of who's currently manager at Fenerbahce btw? Yep. Making some good signings so far.

damn, yeah i liked him too, thought he was given a raw deal at arsenal (who isn't?). good ole vitor, comes back to haunt us again. well down lad, maybe after RM get's the sack you can come here.

  8. I'll be honest, as soon as I read Lukaku to replace RVP I kinda stopped reading. Unless LVG is still in presentation night party mode I think he will be looking for a more rounded player - to put it politely.

I'll leave it to this thread to let you see what their fans think of him.

    http://www.redcafe.net/threads/romelu-lukaku.405746/

80% really do not rate him at all, 10% are meh and 10% are not commenting on whether they want him.

the red cafe's opinion has no bearing on how good he actually is, bunch of idiots in there. the couple of actual decent posters said what some of us say, young talented, growing and 20+ goal scorer a year.

man united is a shadow of what it once was, their rely on their former glories and wads of cash to lure players, not exciting football, talented manager, and great team. they are a joke. mercenaries is what they'll end up with.

  9. Take a look at @FourthOfficial_'s Tweet:

    Gerard Deulofeu, transferred to Everton

The FC Barcelona Deulofeu will transfer to Everton for six million but will retain an option to buy during the first two seasons by nine million.

    SAN ANTONIO IVAN

    15.06.2015 | 00:00 H.

He arrived at nine in the blaugrana quarry and, twelve years later and after two seasons on loan, was finally decouple the club. Their destination is England, which returns to the team that played in the 2013-2014 season on loan. Here you'll again Robert Martinez, coach of the Godison Park.

The club has not set too many problems in negotiating his transfer because the continuity of Luis Enrique will close the doors to their return. The Spaniard decided not to count on him earlier in the season, so there was no intention to repescarlo. Thus, the club has met the demand of the player, who has not finished feel comfortable being given and preferred definitely separated from the club in search of stability to explode.

Everton will pay six million euros to Barca striker Riudarenes , signing up to the June 30, 2018 with an option for another season. At Barca contract ended June 30, 2017, so he still had two years not fulfilled. Nevertheless, there is still a chance that the club have again in the future with the front. And since the club Catalans a repurchase option are saved during the first two seasons at Everton Deulofeu, just the two that still had to fulfill.

Thus, if the club at the end of the next 2015-2016 season sees the tip has grown needed to return to wear the Blaugrana shirt, must pay nine million euros, while the second year at the end of the 2016 season 2017 would be twelve million euros.

I like that typo "Roberto Martinez coach of the GODison Park".

hell yes! enjoy that beach gerry, cause it's all business once you get back :)
