  1. Arsenal and Swansea 0-0, will be interesting to see if Arse can take 2nd place with a win and best Man City for that spot.
  2. yeah i forgot about cisse, he would be nice too, always seems to find the net. janmaat is their best player, leads in assist and has a few goals as well, real player there. we were linked with Perez, he was the Liga 2 striker and he seems to be adapting to the prem pretty well, he's their second highest scorer and has assisted a few. some quality there for sure.
  3. I'd rather he sign for Villa and we play Ross in Barry's spot. He need to be played further back and then the ACM creative player we hopefully sign will play where ross was.
  4. I'd like the most fair play points as possible here. So no besic or barry or Howard please. A win would be nice, and a couple yellow and red cards from Nolan, Noble, Song and the like would be alright too. Robles Coleman Stones Jags Baines McCarthy Barkley Lennon Osman Mirallas Lukaku
  5. steve i was thinking this same thing. newcastle would be the best since they have some quality there. here are my votes depending on their fee QPR - None Burnley - Ings, Trippier Hull - None Sunderland - Wickham Leicester - None Newcastle - Ayoze Perez, Janmaat, Cabella
  6. strange really. junior malanda, mertens, now this lad. very sad.
  7. i can understand your logic with the League cup and FA cup early rounds since we are playing "lesser" competition but surely some of the best teams in europe count for something? his 8 goals in europa is still tied for first shukes, i get you're all pissed off and having a rough one after the loss but it wasn't a fluke. week in and out he battered teams. he deserves that co-golden boot if he ends up with it. he was on another level in europe and frankly i love that. shows he is able to up his game for the big matches, something every star player should do.
  8. Here we go, will it be Rangers, Hibs, Queen of the South or will Motherwell/Ross County stay up? Hearts has already booked their trip back, I'm rooting for Hibernian and Stubbs myself. QoTS 1 - 2 Rangers was the result this weekend. Rangers at home with the advantage and away goals, I think they will advance this weekend.
  9. why don't they play them short then and just attack? we did this for a while but after a botched one countered for a goal we stopped. no worse than a botched corner near post countered for a goal in my opinion.
  10. everton should be fine without a billionaire, but liverpool can't be, we must have one, it is our birthright. BS article, the Echo seems to be printing more and more crap lately, new owner? new agenda?
  11. Anichebe never got 16 goals and 19 goals in a season. You're smoking crack oz, anichebe is crap and will always be, look at west brom he starts almost every game and still doesn't score. Lukaku has shown so much improvement, one more and he's at 20 goals. That's an amazing accomplishment
  12. He's playing the veterans to get the fair play I believe. He had told them to steady it out with the cards and play smart ball with fouling up the place. He wouldn't be able to control the youngsters as much, might get al excited and go out and start tackling like crazy.
  13. What will be our ideal lineup? Still 4231 with Ross on bench?
  14. Depends on who we play, if we get the spot youngsters are fine but I want to get to the group stage. If we don't it's a waste of a great opportunity.
  15. That's it. Racquetball the ball bounces very much. Off all the walls and roof, very lively, which keeps you moving. I think the racquets might be slightly different as well.
  16. Yet another forgotten sport, squash. That racquetball and handball are essentially sports that middle aged men play at a fitness club to keep in shape. My father played racquetball 2-3 times a week religiously till he wasn't able due to health issues. Very fun sport, I don't know the difference between it and squash I'm sorry to say though. I guess in the end mike as you and I seem to be figuring out, it's not necessarily the quality or fun factor of the sport which makes it popular, but the marketablitlity, national sentiment, and cultural components. Because like yourself I grew up with a (we call it) ping pong table in the basement. Spent all my high school yeArs playing with friends and still enjoy it. The various spin top back side you can put on it, serving methods, it's a great game.
  17. Yeah Agassi and Sampras were American too but no one cared then either. You are right to a point mike I'll give you that, but we have great golfers and it's barely a sport over here, more a rich mans business lunch type of event. Tennis is viewed as a rich people sport as well. Not sure why but the only kids who play it go to private school and have trust funds. It's all American football, college football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and then the rest. Boxing nascar golf tennis soccer Etc Funny how different the sports interests are everywhere in the world. In Asia badmitton and table tennis rule the world, those are sports we treat as a game you would play at a friends house (table tennis) or at a park for a picnic (badmitton). To each their own.
  18. Good for Murray. It's a shame nadal had all those knee problems. He was so good for a while and after the knees went he's never been the same. He was the guy who got me to actually watch tennis (I know it big in Europe but it's like the 14th most popular sport here).
  19. I would love a live table of the EPL fair play, everything I can find is a couple games back. That way we can stay on top of the qualification.
  20. What's going on with him? Haven't heard of him all year? Patto I know you go to some u21 any thoughts? Wonder if he will make the first team or be another sold to a lower league side?
  21. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2244170.html England gets another spot it's confirmed. Liverpool already in with 5th, between west Ham Everton and Burnley. Droobie read the thread there is more to fair play than just cards you knob.
  22. Spot on dunc. Also we looked good in Europe, smashed up some good teams. Our style of play works well there.
  23. I want Europa league as well. I think two years in a row would help to keep us in the elite clubs in the world and on the minds of fans everywhere and let's be honest the players are professionals if they can't handle the restraints then we need to get better ones
  24. It was comical, of all the game you sub him it's this one, puzzling to say the least.
  25. I did too. He's not an ACM, runs with the ball at his feet and is ace at transition from defense to offense and moving quickly. Box to box role and bench Barry is the only way we will see him grow in my opinion. He is not David silva.
