  1. Howard had started to dive when the shot was deflected. He can't just alter the laws of physics to dive again mid-air!

Haha not saying that. On replays he was close his arm just wasn't long enough. Robles with his reach wouldn't have had a problem. De gea wouldn't have had it, too short, but courtouis would.

Beeing cheeky because in honesty Robles would have had it with his reach, but it's not due to quality of keeper.

  2. Not sure. We were looking scarce at the back, keeping him on was a relatively expensive "just in case", but required. Just turns out we haven't needed him. The transfer fee would've been buttons too.

Browning was making the bench regularly over Distin, he had no chance to play, should have been sold. Buttons maybe, but we can use all the cash and freed up wages we can get.

From the perspective of pure self-interest, Labour had to campaign against Scottish Independence - because many of its MPs were from there. No Scottish MPs in Westminster, and Labour suffers (as, ironically, they have now found out). Since Labour no longer benefits from Scotland, the cynic in me says that they probably couldn't give a flying rip any more whether Scotland is independent or not. IMO, if the SNP can repeat its success in regional elections, then there will be another vote for independence - probably in 2016. It's like other issues: They'll keep voting on it until the inevitable outcome is achieved - only then there will be no way back.

There's always been a split between the North and the South: The North (including Scotland) is more left-wing, whereas the South tends to be more right-wing. That is extreme right now, since SNP policies are more left-wing than even Labour's. That has to be a factor, too.

    Thank you Steve.

It's funny thing, in a lot of countries the north and south don't get along and are very different. America, UK, Italy, etc. and it's the same story, northern industrial working class etc, southern lazy slow etc. being a northerner for 28 years of my life and living in the south now It fascinates me.

  4. Nobody is as fucking dumb as you're making them out to be. There's also a massive difference between RM buying players and Everton, as a club, needing to sell to allay massive debts during Moyes' years here. Moyes could've valued Rooney at whatever the hell he would've liked. But, if the board agreed that a sufficient enough offer came in to help settle some debts, then they were going to say he's gone. Moyes wouldn't want to give away his brightest young player, and he wouldn't say take whatever offer you get. I'm sure he would've rather had the club be both out of debt and have Rooney stay. But, what could he honestly have done to stop them from paying the bills?

Enrolled them in a basic accounting course at the local university ;) I hear you. Glad we are in a better position financially now.

  5. I have another questions for you guys. With the SNP doing so resoundedly well, does this mean there will be another independence vote and it is more likely to pass? I'm not sure if they are able to vote on that I imagine parliament would have to allow it and am not sure of the Tories position of Scottish independence.

Also another question, this whole England removed from the EU business, was that merely a election ploy to get votes or do you think it will really happen and pass?

  6.

The very first Merseyside derby was won by the team in red, which was us.

:) reminds me of where i went to university, they had an american football program in the 60's but it stopped in 1969 due to finance. the last game they played they won. The university still makes "Cleveland State University Football" shirts with the back of the shirt saying "Undefeated since 1969", clever.
