He did, eventually, change exactly what I was criticizing him for; he stepped up and lead. Not just with important goals, but he seemed more animated and going back to his usual self of last ditch tackles etc.
I've maintained my stance that he shouldn't be captain but he has proven me wrong, again. Hope he continues to do so.
yeah and i'm fine with all that, i just don't think he was player of the year. Rom's 20 goals is a feat rarely performed by an Everton Striker, i think that is more outstanding than being terrible, getting it together and doing your job. i realize i am in the small minority. :shaking fist:

i hope its not true, i support BK.
-
surprised jags won to be honest. our back 4 was terrible this year and we let in so many goals and have so few clean sheets. i realize he ended well, but overall i don't think he should have won.
oh well.

Besler went to shit after the world cup, he's not worth it, i'd honestly have more faith in galloway or browning than him at the moment. Moreno is a good shout and would be affordable. Hell no to amorebiata, was terrible for fulham.
Vermalaen's wages are probably too high.

man united approach liverpool about sterling and are rejected.

Finished 0-0. Sunderland safe.
Scottish one is a bit disappointing, big ask to come back from two down.
Agreed, i think Hibs is done. Sad really.
Hoping Juve pull out the coppa italia, it's in extra time.
-
Rangers up 2-0 now, Stubbs will have to earn his paycheck at Easter Road in the return leg.
-
arse sunderland 0-0 at half, rangers up 1-0 at half, and juve and lazio tied 1-1 in the coppa italia.
what a day
-
Rangers v Hibs first leg tonight at Ibrox. Go Stubbsy!
didn't know that! way better match than arse sunderland. i will follow this the rest of my work day
got the bbc feed up now. come on Hibs!!
-
arse 3 - 0 sunderland
i see sunderland thrown right back into the relegation mix, arsenal will want that 2nd spot and to put distance between them and man u.
goals by sanchez (2) and walcott (1).
here's to hoping!
-
i'll withhold judgement till i see the real unveil and see the players wear it.
-
not alot in but the fella mentions Lennon @ 5mil in the summer gone and that he should be less now.
that guy is senile. no way ferrriera carraasco and martial are leaving monaco playing champs league next year for newcastle!!! lennon and dembele are good shouts (dembele especially would be good for either them or us really) though.
would love dembele here as our 10, i loved him at fulham.

realistically after hearing RM speak, i think we'll get either a winger or creative mid and a veteran centre back. osman will be on the wing or central with pienaar rotating and mcgeady as back up for the wingers.
if ossie looks as good as he is now, i'm fine with that. pienaar i am worried about.
also i'm bored at work

A big no no to playing Barkley deep Steve, he cant tackle to save his life.
PS .. Changed the pic for you, Ross Barkleys girlfriend, i think more of her than i do of Barkley as a deep midfielder.
bill please go back and read again. we have mccarthy as the destroyer, ross the deep lying box to box transitioning to offense and attack, and moving the ball with his pace. a tackle can be had by mccarthy, barkley wouldn't be barry 2.0.
think of it more as a 4141 with ross dropping back.

guess this won't happen. 145k a week? no chance here.
-
Player - Lukaku
Young Player - Besic or Stones

There's our first choice winger next season then!
starting to wonder if he blew 2 years worth of transfer kitties on lukaku. well bring in some loans this offseason and that's it, mcgeady, pienaar, ossie like "new signings". worried for sure.
-
yes yes yes please on a perm. 12m and we've got some youthful winger/attacker.
-
glad to hear it, go leave the league and make them a worse team, please.
-
Bad news that's he's hit rock bottom but great news he has sought help. It won't be easy but if he puts the effort and determination that got him this far as a footballer he can stay off and clean up his act.
I'm happy for him and hope he's able to clean up and become a great person and hopefully footballer.
All the best George!

I love this club. Can't wait for next season!!

I hope Sunderland and Arsenal draw that will leave United needing Arsenal to lose and them to win AND a 6 goal swing in goal difference. That's Sunderland almost safe and one more team Newcastle can't catch with a draw and means Sunderland only need a draw last game.
That then leaves United (practically) locked in 4thand nothing to play for. Hopefully Hull turn them over and West Ham beat Newcastle and they go down.
I'll be so fucking happy if that happens I was happy for about a week last time those gobshites went down.
By product of Arsenal beating Sunderland will also mean that United's game at Hull will be "dead" for them, which might just give Hull a chance of winning.
i'm good with either of your scenarios!! i'd like newcastle to drop as well, come on hull and sunderland!
-
Interesting scenario. Sevilla are a mere couple points off a CL place in La Liga. If they win and qualify through the league does 2nd place Europa get the other CL spot, or the next best La Liga team?
