Was his attitude the issue, maybe?

Martinez seems like a nice guy in public, but if you rub him the wrong way, he will definitely freeze you out.

This is just speculation, but there seems to be a trend.

worked for SAF, Wenger, Mourinho, etc. Manager is always right is better than being the players bitch.

  2. Paddock says it as gospel. Spurs made an enquiry in January. I'm sure they'll be back and it gives them the perfect opportunity if we want Lennon. It's certainly not 100% either way. But I'm convinced they try.

and since he's on a one year deal they sign him to a new deal immediately so he's long term? possible i guess. more of a lateral move but i'm sure spurs would pay more wages and he'd get a cut of the transfer fee. so from a money stand point he would make more, but football wise, nothing changes really. they don't want europa and are trying to lose out of it, and we don't have it either.

I'm a supporter of Lukaku as well. Right now, I want him to stay at Everton throughout his productive years. But...I'm worried about those stats. Goals per game are declining, and goals in the Prem are significantly declining. As I mentioned earlier, maybe his record in the Europa was because he's an unknown quantity to opponents outside England. Or maybe it's because he's better suited to playing against a different style of football. The focus has to be on getting better numbers in the Premier League. Would you not agree?

steve we played well in europe and gave him great service and he scored more. that's all it is. the style of play is more open and less physical which suits us well. he honestly looked the best i've ever seen him in those matches, he stepped it up a notch for the euro nights. he's a very known quantity Wolfsburg wanted to sign him, Young Boys aren't stupid and Kyiv shut him down because they in fact knew what a threat he was.

the numbers are the numbers in the premier league. the striker isn't the sole person responsible for goals steve. others need to help out and take the pressure off him which will then give him more space to attack. it's cyclical. last season baines was scoring, mirallas, coleman, and therefore lukaku was more because there was room, other teams had many threats to take care of. this year it's naisy mirallas and that's it. no barkley for the odd goal, teams knock lukaku out and it's a win. that's not his fault, it's a team game.

  4. See I've banged on about this for a long time.

WE DONT NEED TWO SITTING MIDFIELDERS.

We need someone who can get on the ball and pick passes (Gibson) or someone who can join in and carry the ball forward from a sitting position (Barkley)

Spot on. Besic is the McCarthy replacement. We'll need money next year or the year after and McCarthy will sell for 30m in his prime, meanwhile mo is being groomed to replace him. Vault me.

  5. I agree althought I think stones may edge him for height. Don't get me wrong I like the look of him, another very composed player at the back.

He's young he will fill out. Compare a personal pictures of yourself as a teen or early twenty to now, you got fat, so will he.

  6. They are trying to lose their way out of Europa. A soton win or draw and they are out, so I fully expect us to win this match. Pottchino has said he doesn't want Europa and I would like to finish 10 in front of west ham depending on their result.

    Robles

    Coleman stones jags Galloway

    McCarthy Barkley

    Lennon osman mirallas

    Lukaku

    Subs - mcgeady besic naisy

  7. Glad to see Galloway given a chance, and garbutt benched. If he's off then why waste the minutes on him, great call by Roberto, I'm behind that 100%.

Great to see Leon is starting every match now. COYB!!

  8.

Sorry to break it to you Mark but Manchester's above the red line also.

don't be sorry! my lack of english geography is not your fault! Man City, Man U, hull, everton, liverpool, newcastle, sunderland, and Boro if they make it up. I love it!

Have the winner of the Northern league play the winner of the southern league and they are crowned champs of the island.
