  1. very interesting stuff, thanks C. He is talking about when he was at Holsten and the sponsored Spurs. "I was desperate to move that sponsorhsip to Everton. I met with our media agecy in London but got a deck v thick as to why we cant inevst in Everton. The main things were a) they are not a corporate club they don't need a new stadium. The big commercial companies having boxes is what's important, he says, "that's not this club." Everton, he says, is essentially THE most "working-class" club in the Premier League.
  2. i much preferred the heyneckes bayern to peps. they were more direct and pressed harder.
  3. I agree matt. Spain's 4-5 year world domination bored me to death. Watching their national team and barca put me to sleep. Meanwhile watching Dortmund versus Munich in the CL finals had me on the edge of my seat. All action fast pressing and quick movement, I do enjoy a more direct approach. I enjoyed moyes style for this, I just didn't enjoy his tactics when we got ahead and would defend and stop attacking.
  4. i am as well. I expect to qualify for Europe again next year, be it Europa or Champs League. The man said he would, so I'm holding him to it. Big offseason.
  5. jags is 33 going on 34, he will start next year but i can see him being rotated. he's in nowhere near the shape distin was, sadly one of these days he will start losing it. might just be next season and ole coach pad ain't playing browning or gallloway so we will need a solid signing there.
  6. so we have money to throw around to hire a high priced backup? makes no sense dunc. we need a top winger (starter not backup), creative midfielder (Starter not backuP) and centre back (starter not backup). Naisy with 6 goals is great, way better than kone.
  7. id be happy with a draw here as well, but after all the injuries they have and the defeat to chelsea, i could see us getting a win here. their whole back line is out, they played shaw and mcnair. shaw hadn't played in a LONG time.
  8. this thread is hilarious now that he's knocking in premier league goals left and right. he will be in high demand since he's english and the new FA rules with homegrown players. I just don't see it working here unless we go 442, Rom won't ride the bench and we already have Naisy and Kone without Europe, so why do we need 4 strikers?
  9. also this Klopp to liverpool rumour doesn't make sense to me. His geggenpressing style would need a massive overhaul to make it happen. i can't see sterling and sturridge running around like maniacs, they're too pampered for a workhorse like Klopp.
  10. thanks elston. we really need to get some results from the Man U and spurs matches and then hope we can beat up the other guys.
  11. Falcao to the shite for 25m being tossed around. sad really, he was fantastic for atletico and monaco but after that injury he hasn't been the same. i don't want to see him at liverpool, i could see a fresh offseason and a resurgence, i'd rather he go back to monaco or go back to spain.
  12. We never claimed to be anything better.
  13. Yes I think everyone drinks coffee so they use a little electric coffee machine. I only do French press cause I'm cheap and got one from a job I had a while back .
  14. Yes I'm talking stove top. Not sure we have those kettles here, probably do somewhere but the tea drinkers are far and few, most people are into coffee and just have a little electric job.
  15. Strongest team for me, let's move up the table and catch palace and west ham, end on a high note. Robles Coleman Stones Jags Baines McCarthy Barkley Lennon Osman Mirallas Lukaku
  16. Okay so here we use stoves or a range. I have owned an electric one and a gas one. Electric takes long is less efficient and doesn't heat evenly. Gas does all of the above and is dirt cheap (maybe that's a states thing though). I have a French press in the morning for coffee and boil a pot of water. Takes 1-2 minutes to full boil on gas, used to take 10-15 with electric. Gas has real flames heating it, electric is just an element that gets super hot. Matt not to mention any commercial restaurant uses gas since it is superior for cooking as well.
  17. Happy birthday pad, hope the family got you some nice presents.
  18. Gas will boil water quicker cheaper and more efficiently. Explain again why we should get an electric kettle?
  19. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3016432/Club-club-guide-Premier-League-s-financial-health.html well put mike. not to mention the financials i just looked up to refute your argument and ended up proving myself wrong we are in great financial standing with only 28m in debt, a lot of clubs below and above us are much worse off. imagine being spurs or swansea with no debt, wow. anyways, west ham with 110m, so yeah not much wiggle room their regardless of the TV revenue.
  20. Why mike? Their owners have splashed the cash sakho, Valencia, song, I don't see money being a roadblock. They're about to play in Olympic stadium with modern amenities and lots of seating. So where is the rub mike ?
  21. Let him go as long as they eat that huge contract extension. Then go get bilic or laudrup. Preferably bilic. And this time don't sign him to stupid extensions after 1 year.
  22. Watford and Bournemouth now at top. Remaining Fixtures for teams in contention. Bournemouth has Bolton and Charlton, Watford has Brighton and Sheff Wed, Boro have Fulham and Brighton, Norwich have Rotherham and Fulham, Derby have Milwall and Reading, Ipswich have Nottingham Forest and Blackburn, Brentford have Reading and Wigan. Wolverhampton have Wigan and Milwall. Ipswich with the hardest fixtures, but all of those are winnable, none of the tops teams are playing each other. They better hope for some upsets.
