  1. jags doesn't look great
  2. i would have preferred mcgeady to start on the wing, pienaar in the middle and naisy on the bench for an impact sub, but hopefully mcgeady will come on and get another goal. COYB!
  3. hopefully it's true, a barkely replacement and another striker would be nice.
  4. quite the backyard he's got there, i can only image the pad he's got with all the money he's made.
  5. i would be happy with this. played centrally as the barkley replacement he could do really well in a decent side. and would be nice backup once barkley is healed up.
  6. This. The stats on our academy and other prem teams academies would be interesting but i'm guessing they would back up Paddock's comment here. Look at the current crop Duffy, Lundstram, McAleny, Kennedy, Long, etc are all great and we hope for the best but they aren't worldbeaters. Might be bit part players at best. I think having a larger transfer budget and doing the Chelsea tactic combined with the academy would be the best scenario.
  7. Reina is with bayern munich now, not available.
  8. Pelligrini with the Dzeko renaissance. Mancini left him to die. Great player and paired with Aguero (when fit) is so scary.
  9. i was just going to say this. also he and RM seem to get on well. For all the manager bashing Mou does, I've never heard him say bad things about RM directly and vice versa for RM to Mou. Also it's well known that BK gets on well with the Chelsea office, so maybe that helps too.
  10. did you watch his FA cup winning campaign? i did, and it was far from woeful. remember the 3-1 or 4-1 battering they gave us at goodison where robles was rock solid? just cause he had a couple purple patches in the league cup (oviedo broke his leg there, you gonna hold that against him?) doesn't mean anything.
  11. well today is the day for the scan supposedly so hopefully we get some concrete evidence and good news.
  12. Everton 3 - 0 Arsenal Mirallas We have started a new trend with last years result and this, it's the new dos a cero (for the american fans).
  13. Playing twice a week and getting used to it.
  14. Thanks paddock for this, I'm glad for him too, he had a nice goal for us last year in the league cup.
  15. Makes sense, RM must be doing this for the Europa league, great idea.
  16. Awesome! Hope he learns how to pass to the keeper after that Leicester game.
  17. I admit mike I'm not as familiar with the transfer loan system used overseas as I should be. Here is what I believe and feel free to correct me. The option only exists for the the loaning team (barca). If they decide he can stay another year it is so, but if we said hey we want him another year I don't think that had any bearing on what happens, we get a loan or not at the mercy and kindness of another team. Much like our youngsters going on loan and last year we recalled a couple, they had the full year loan but we called them back, I don't think their side can rebuttal that.
  18. which very well could be. my understanding (rudimentary at best) was when we signed him RM said there was a 2nd year option. When he was called back this was canceled.
  19. arsenal besiktas in a little over an hour, anyone fancy demba ba to upset them? i really hope the gunners lose
  20. i think we did have first option, but he knew it would make him look like an idiot and amateur to call a player back, and the re loan them to the same team. so he acted like he meant to do it and sevilla would be better blah blah blah to cover his tracks. at least that's what i think, could be totally wrong though
  21. yeah that makes it less clear than. rojo as left CB? shaw as wing back? ed woodward is a gift to every other team in the prem. he is the reason moyes got fired and i've read a couple articles that van gaal has been having some tirades and such at management due to no transfers and them being so cheap. the big boys barca, real, bayern just pay the top dollar buy out clause and are done with it, but man u is trying to wheel and deal which is how the vermalean deal fell through. the deal was agreed, and he wanted to go there. but they were being so skint and kept negotiating the fee that when barca came along he had to take it because he wasn't sure man u would ever get the thing sorted.
  22. if you watch the match highlights on the team website you'll see the first one is solely on ledson. he was pressured and made a terrible back pass/shot that ended in goal.
  23. not barca, just the new manager luis enrique. it seemed more like he didn't know what he was doing. he called him back (which you do to a player who would be in the 1st team) and then realized he had too many wingers and sent him out on loan. a seasoned manager would have assessed that situation and not called him back to let him have another year on loan. i think it's more about luis enrique than anything else, small manager just getting his footing at the big club.
  24. this is never going to happen. wages too high after blowing 28m on lukaku.
  25. Marcus Rojo is headed to United. They must be desperate now that Vermalen and Hummels said no. Rojo is a left back primarily but can play centre back as well. I'm guessing he'll be the wing back on the left and Shaw will be the Left CB? still doesn't make that team good. The deal is Nani goes to Sporting on loan, so he's gone. Gain one, lose one, don't see that team getting any better yet.
