I agree about McCarthy but for me Barry shaded it. The Everton midfield were awesome and got even better when Barkley went off.
In Coleman and Baines we have the best attacking full backs in the Premiership. John Stones is going to be the real deal. Another year in the gym and another stone in weight, he will play for England for 10 or 12 years.

Brilliant display, midfield and defence awesome. Lukaku's first touch is like a pass. Barry MoM for me. Barkley disappointing again.

What's going on with referees and Liverpool this season? Against Norwich Liverpool got a free kick for anything where there was the slightest contact. Towards the end of the game Snodgrass (Norwich) got clattered from behind just outside the Liverpool penalty area - play waved on. I'm beginning to think there is a conspiracy somewhere to ensure Liverpool win the league this year.

Both Arsenal goals came from poor clearances by West Ham by players who were under no pressure. The ref was a 'homer'.

Send Arsen Wenger a 'Happy Retirement' card.

There is no 'magic formular', Saurez has had a fantastic season and Gerrard has had an understated but excellent season, the rest of the team have been swept along and probably feel invincible.
Saurez should win player of the season, closely followed by Gerrard. The fact Saurez didn't leave in the summer and Gerrards legs didn't show signs of slowing down owe as much to luck as to 'magic'.
Other rs players have raised their games.....who the hell could blame them.
Sorry, can't agree that Suarez should win player of the season. He obviously has the best 'stats' but he's a cheat, which should disqualify him.

Referee Clattenberg must wear a red shirt under his black top. Following his three penalties for Liverpool at Old Trafford, today, he fails to give a red card to Suarez (who had already been booked) for a blatant dive. The problem of 'diving' is never going to be solved if refs let divers get away with it..
Clattenberg also missed a handball by Skrtle in added time.

Scotsman goes to the dentist and asks how much to have a tooth out. The dentist says £85. The Scotsman asks how much would it be without an anaesthetic. The dentist says £60 but he wouldn't recommend it as it would be very painful. The Scotsman says 'I'll do the £60, can I book an appointment for the wife'.

Regarding 'armchair fans'. When you have been an Everton supporter for 70 years, obviously are a pensioner and live 250 miles away, no one can claim you are not a genuine supporter because you only see the televised games. Besides, I lost count of the number of sixpences I paid to go in the boys' pen in the 1940's!

Rooney is a very good player but he doesn't qualify as 'world class'. He has never produced the goods on the world stage, particularly when playing for England. He seldom has the same influence on a game as, say Messi or Ronaldo. Our 'world class' players are few and far between. John Charles, George Best, Bobby Moore and maybe a couple more.

I see Gerrard was having a whinge in the paper this morning. Apparently, West Ham made them park their bus 'a mile' from the ground. The dressing room was 'too hot' and the pitch was 'parched'.

What a good centre back he is, future international. Also, with pace to burn and his ball control/passing skills, he could also play in midfield if required.
Reminds me a bit of Luiz of Chelsea - only better.

Watch Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling when they are tackled. If they keep possession they stay on their feet. If they lose possession they go to ground every time. More often than not they get a free kick. They must actually practise it in training.

Another two penalties - you couldn't make it up. Referees must be under instructions from the FA to give Liverpool penalties whenever they can.

Markjazzbassist: Congratulations on your new arrival. My son took my grandson to the game (they live in Nottingham). Grandson supports Everton because I do, and have done for 70 years! I had to make do with watching it on my lap-top as I live in Berkshire. What a great game, we have a fantastic squad.best weekend of my life. my son was born (watched the game with me), and everton win 3-0. such a great effort by the lads, baines my MOTM, wonderful passing and movement of the ball up the field, he can be our english Lahm for sure! McCarthy and Barry were spot on and straight up outplayed Arteta and Flamini. Sorry to see Osman go, but happy with Barkley!

Flip a coin between Stone and Naismith, for me, Naismith won the toss.
-
Can't believe Cleverly got in the England squad. Never rated him. Take him on a 'free' as a squad player.
-
Must be some sort of a record. Liverpool have gone two consecutive games without a penalty.
-
Have posted before that Naismith is the real deal. Showed it today. Stones had a great game, he is going to be a big name in the future. Thought Coleman had a good game after a few weeks of being ordinary. Thought we should have had the game sewn up by half-time, sometimes I think we overdo the 'tippy-tappy' passing and miss out on a shooting chance. We also overdo it in defence and on a number of occasions gave the ball away in dangerous areas. I think we will see off Arsenal. Their weakness is midfield where we are a lot stronger.

The other issue to consider is that it will move power from national associations to Uefa. At the moment the FA are responsible for England games outside formal competitions. In future, it appears that the FA may not be involved.

I think this is just a revenue earning scheme for UEFA. Its supposed to replace international 'friendlies' but when clubs are faced with sending key players to play for 90 minutes in a competitive game, instead of 45 minutes in a meaningless friendly, the chances of key players returning injured will be a lot higher. Monetary compensation from UEFA is not going to mean much if a club loses a key player for several weeks. I think the clubs may stymie this.

He is seldom given the opportunity to play as an out and out striker at Man U, which I think is his best position. He has got real pace, which we need up front, I think he would be a good fit.

Gerrard must hold the record for the number of yellow cards he gets but never gets a second, no matter what he does.
