We’ve got enough depth for 4 or so changes with out putting a really weak side. Gordon has been impressive and deserves run. CB is the issue, we are going to run Keane into the ground at this rate - I’ve been massively critical of him but he has been immense to play every minute and play at such a consistent level so far.

They have looked good all season. Ball on the deck, Trossard is a very good player and Maupay uptop will hit the net if given the chance. We need to be clinical with set pieces as we should be the bigger side. Could be a cracking game.

Uncomfortable second half. Did well to grind out the result, made palace look like a better passing team. Allan did a lot of dirty work. Mina won some big headers in our box. Huge start to the season though!

Good shift from Gomes. Calm, composed and classy in a frantic midfield.

To their credit they are a very physical, athletic team and I think they will do okay this season. They lack any real quality in midfield though and rely a lot on Ayew/Zaha. We just need to be a bit better on the ball and we could get a few here. James has played 2 key passes that lead to both goals, won’t get assists for them but he created both situations. Richarlison should have been in 1v1 if his touch was better. Quality, quality player.

Doucoure has had a bit of a nightmare. James is running the show though. Richarlison really needs to sharpen up some of his general play. Need another goal in this one. Also, really hope we don’t sign Zaha.

Seems strange. Poor from the Ref in my opinion to blow full time. Would assume the game is done and VAR can’t over rule at the stage. Also felt it was less of a pen than the Gylfi situation we had with them last year. Another note, it’s the first leg of my multi done so I’m pretty happy with it.

He’s the right age but watching him a bit at Schalke last season and I wasn’t overly impressed.

I’ve said for ages, he’s a CAM in midfield 3 with a 2 attacking, 1 defensive pivot.

Look when they get the ball, instant press and everyone is moving cut passing lanes suffocating them into playing back to their keeper. Excellent shape and balance to the team.

He seems smart as well though. Dropped into CB for cover of digne and then made that over lap run once he had seen Richarlison stand up the full back and then put a really, really dangerous ball in.

Seriously, 3/4 amazing crosses from Nkounkou.

Lets get the third and get the likes of Richarlison/DCL off. Would love to bring Delph off because of his yellow for davies but wouldnt want to use all subs at once

Much, much better from Iwobi last 10 minutes. After the delph free kick, drove the ball forward 20 yards or so and now a nice turn and shot. Need to see more of it from him.

Nkoukou is quality. That first ball he whipped is a strikers dream. Think Bernard is playing well, very high energy in pressing. Digne has played some excellent passes. There it is, quality from bernard
