Surely Pickford is smart enough to have seen how Carlo and Brands have dealt with our under performing midfield. Ruthless and efficient transfers that have made our weakest department our strongest. In terms of of starting 11, we are looking strong everywhere but GK. He needs to respond or Carlo and Brands will strengthen.

Think he’s shown some serious maturity the last few years and perhaps tried to carry to much of weight some of our more senior pro’s wouldn’t take on. He played a very good game and stepped into RB seamlessly to see out the game. Happy for him.

That’s a good point. I know he was around the first team from pre season but that doesn’t say a lot.

I’d really like to see Simms get a bit of game time and compare his cameo performances against Kean. I’m not saying Simms is ready for the prem but I’d just love to see the difference between an academy player and £30 million “wonder kid”

The most promising part is the “lower” teams have seen the big boys are not invincible and know if they have a go against them they can get something out of it. They are getting rightly rewarded as well.

Lossl will go to Huddersfield, window is still open for that as well? Virgina might get a loan but I want to see him develop. Let’s see how pickford responds here. Gylfi & Davies look to have stepped up a bit, Iwobi can kind of say the same.

Think there’s a shortage of real top quality keepers to be honest. Think back 10 or so years ago and it seems there were so many solid 7/10 keepers compared to these days.

I agree Bernard’s ahead in the pecking order. I’m still kind of baffled by walcott coming on in the game before both bernard and Gordon. To be clear I’d rather see Bolasie as our 4th back up winger - Iwobi, Gordon/Bernard then Bolasie if we are desperate.

I really hope we move walcott on. He’s got very little technical ability or tactical presence. Much rather see bolasie in his role because at least he would bust his ass for the team for 15 minutes.

That’s a potential gap in our squad filled nicely. Looking forward to seeing him in action!

Poulsen at Leipzig isn’t getting loads of minutes and his contract is up in 2 years. 26, pacey and strong whilst being able to play with the ball at his feet. CB seems sorted. GK - not sure who’s going to sell a world class goal keeper this late in the window.

Top of the table with only Aston Villa perfect as well. No one could have predicted it. I said earlier that big teams are dropping points and it’s continuing. As long as we keep ticking along and grinding out the tough wins where we need to we could potentially open up a nice gap. Target has to be win the league, every season along with every game. Miss your target slightly and then settle for Europe.

Read up on him from some Norwich fans and apparently hes rapid, which is good to hear. Likes to carry the ball out from the back. Think this is an excellent signing with the prospect of Europe next season, he wont kick up a stink for not starting straight away but should have the potential to be our starting CB. Exciting times lads!

Gazelle's are generally graceful and elegant... he has more of a giraffe look to him but i absolutely love him. Stepped up today and took control, especially after the howler. Great attitude from him. Knew at the start of the season we would be a very good footballing side but have that key ability to break a team down from set pieces. Great balance to the team.

Learn from Liverpool, lets not have a howler in a cup final be the point where we actually say we need a new keeper. His arrogance works against him here and i believe thats made people less patient with him. Needs to go.

Doucoure had a great game. Davies was good, glad to see that. James was class. Love him to bits and Dom can’t stop scoring! Mina though stepped up today, needs to maintain that level
