Always been the case with him though, physically fantastic but technically very poor. We will always be a bottom half team with a player of his technical ability as our 10/second striker. It's a shame but he works so incredibly hard, need more from him this half.

Forrest 1 - Everton 3 DCL

Really hope Dom is available for this one. Onana is going to be a big loss as Forrest really struggle defending corners and balls in to the box. Regardless, if we attack like we against United we will create chances and hopefully put them away this time. They have some pacey wingers so naturally anyone with any form of sense would not play a 38 year old with no legs at fullback. Hopefully Wood starts up top for them, good match up that for Tarks & Branthwaite. 3 points very much available here.

Theres no guarantee Coleman will come back and be able to perform. The man is incredible in how many times he been written off but still delivered. No doubt he should be ahead of Young but it would break my heart watching Coleman get torn to shreds each week like Young is.

Without having Baines we would probably say Digne was a very good LB. Absolute wand of a left foot by lacked the pace to deal with wingers in this league. Baines though was pure class as a footballer on the pitch and professional off it.

I thought Gana was okay but I felt he misplaced a lot of passes and his first effort on goal was really poor. Went with Myko, didn’t get much help from McNeil all game but thought he did okay, unlucky to hit the bar. Dom was decent but had to take one of his chances. Doucoure much the same. Both wingers weren’t at it for this one unfortunately.

Myko has had his shaky moments that’s for sure but he looks a lot more settled now. Perhaps with Myko & Branthwaite in the back 4 Dyche is concerned of a lack of experience but it is definitely time for a change of personnel at RB

Again bang on. The issue with Young is he making mistakes that experienced players simply should not be making. His defensive positioning is to try and go with his winger down the line - he simply cannot do that these days. If Patterson does come in to the team, he needs to be given patience as you have mentioned - we can't get on his back if he makes a similar mistake because we are frustrated that Young has been making them all season & his replacement has done similar. I fully expect us to stay up this year & believe without the points deduction we would be comfortably mid table so lets use this season to bed in Patterson & hopefully have a strong fullback option next season & really try to break in to the top 10.

I agree 100% mate. I can't understand the logic behind it at this point, given what we have seen from Young. At the start of the season - yes, experience should equal reliability (think you're Milner or Barry type players) but it just has not happened with Young. Patterson has quite a high ceiling as well, the potential player he could be would be a huge asset to us & as Myko is currently showing it can be beneficial to let these youngs guys find their feet.

Madness when we have a young full international waiting on the bench. Has to be Patto or even Coleman from here.

I will say though that period from about 15 minutes to 40 minutes is was exactly what I feel is an “Everton” style of play. We pressed well, won the ball up the pitch, crosses & passes in to the box. It was controlled aggression in defence and some of the play with the ball was excellent. 4 or so golden chances - I can understand the situation got to the players but we have to turn the corner on finishing. DCL, Doucoure, McNeil & Gana all should have buried theirs.

He’s done alot right & deserves credit for that but the constant picking of Ashley Young needs to stop. You can just see on his face when he gives away his yellow card foul every game on 20 minutes that he isn’t up to speed. Patto might come in and do no better but at least he is young enough to learn & develop.

Poor finishing has been against today mate. 0-1 we should have at least equalised & then we give away a pen which all but finished the game off.
