  1. We were utter dog turd on toast today. We’ve lobbed 2 points away at Bournemouth and we should have twatted them today they arse shit. Bitterly disappointed. Why can’t we ever just do things right. We can’t get half the new signings fit- Bernard, Mina, Gomes all important players and all are injured it’s fucking crazy. I realise it’ll take time but fuck me- it’s always something isn’t it.

I’m not going to mention zonal marking again after this post but it will cost Silva his job here if he doesn’t change/sort iylt out as we look like conceding from every corner.

I acknowledged at the outset that plenty disagree with me, and I'm not trying to convince anyone; instead, I'm explaining my reasoning. To succeed, whether as individuals, companies, or teams, we must have a clear vision, a clear strategy, and ensure all we do is consistent with that strategy. What people often overlook is that it's important to decide what not to do as much as what to do. If something distracts from the goal, then avoid it.

Rotherham has had a rotten season so far, but I have to say their manager is focused. Here are his words after the game, explaining why he rested some of his team instead of playing them: "I don't regard making all those changes as weakening the team. It isn'ttt like I've been offensive to the cup, I've got another big game Saturday." Let me repeat his reasoning: he has a big game on Saturday. He understands priorities, has a strategy, and is doing what's needed to achieve his principal goal. Let's see whether Rotherham's standing in the league improves as a result.

It’s about winning trophies- that’s what the fans want, that’s what the club needs. It’s essential we start winning silver ware again, until we do the club will sit in mediocrity. Yes the too 4 is the ultimate goal but to get there winning a cup along the way is what makes the board, coaching team, playing staff and fans believe in the project.

Made me laugh when their number 9 I think it was who was a big lad himself tried to knock him off the ball a few times

The lad looked rock solid calm and spreads play across the back well, looks to have a good understanding with Holgate as well who also had a very good game tbh

It's just a shame we've so many injuries and players likely not to be upto speed at the moment as Silva will have some selection headache's which is a great thing

Yep- thought he was great. They kicked fuck out of him as well and the ref gave him absolutely nothing but he just picked himself up and carried on. He was cool as anything on the ball and as you say his distribution was good.

Bit slow in our play but that’s to be expected when you’re putting out a team with so many changes. Apart from our defending at set-pieces it was a very professional performance.

    Roll on the next round.

I know it’s early and I know I’m being picky but our defending at set pieces has me terrified already- it needs to change because we will leak a lot of goals otherwise.

    Agreed.

Wasn’t sure about him as a signing beforehand, but he looks an absolute monster.

He controlled the back 4- there centre forward was a bug lad and tried to push him about, he got fucked right off- he won important headers and looked decent on the ball.

  6. Just got out the game- another goal conceded from a fucking corner. Zouma was good tonight as was Holgate. Echo reporting Gomez out for 3 more weeks at least, Bernard has a new muscle injury, Jagielka has a knee cartlidge injury, Gana has a kknock- fucking hell we’re like the walking wounded.

Niasse missing that header was a bad joke. Inwas in the Upper Street End right in front of it- it was laughable.. we won with our rezzies though so not all bad.

I'm for Sandro leaving as much as everyone else, but I disagree about him not looking arsed. You cant fault his effort levels that lad runs around like a headless chicken,  I think he trys too hard!

His performance in the Valencia friendly was shocking- he even got rinsed by Silva for arsing about with their team at the end.

    Fair enough :)

Like I said before, there's only 2 options for the lad, and I'm not arsed either which way it goes. I just thought some of the reactions were OTT.

They always will be though mate, fans will over react because they love the club. He’s not stupid and neither is his agent. Why remove Everton player from his bio ( just using this as an example, I don’t care he done it) he knows that will have some sections of fans up in arms- there is absolutely no need for him to do that. The leipzig video would not have been blown up like it has if it wasn’t for all his other actions is my whole point. It’s not just the video mate is it it’s all the other stuff and you can’t say he doesn’t know it’ll have a negative reaction from sections of the fans so why do it?

Fair enough. Still doesn't really suggest anything to me, but nevermind

And that’s fine- it’s your opinion but to me, removing that, sulking about, half arsed warm up, not celebrating goals, walking about for the 10 mins he got in the friendly, refusing to sign autographs, being omitted from match days squads, the manager stating he has to convince him his future is here and him posting videos of Leipzig dcoring, coupled with their manager or owner saying he wants to come point strongly to the fact he wants out- if he does then sound sell him I’m not really arsed as I don’t think he’s that good anyway. I find it hard to see how anyone could shrug off all those actions as just normal day to day stiuff a player does who doesn’t want a transfer hust because he’s not handed in a request.

  10. 7 minutes ago, Matt said:

The lads frustrated at not playing and the manager needs to convince him to be patient. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Meow! I'd love to know what your blood pressure is like!

🤷‍♂️ why would my blood pressure be anything other than normal? I’m just saying I saw he had Player if Everton in his bio and now it’s gone. You said it’s a rumour I can promise you it’s not.

  11. Just now, Matt said:

A written transfer request would do it. But there isn'ttt one, so everything is speculation and conspiracy. There's no drama as far as I'm concerned, although, as I mentioned, the ignoring fans waiting for an autograph is not what I like to hear about

Silvas words of “ we need to convince him” tell you he wants out. Why put a request in and lose money when he can force our hand in a differwnt way.

I keep forgetting your psychic :P

There is no actual evidence. Some innocuous circumstantial evidence on a crappy social media site and then the paranoia to create something out of nothing sure, plenty of that about, but no statement from the player (surely he'd be asking for a transfer request which would've been picked up by now?) and only reassurance from the manager. Nearly all his Twitter feed is Everton, as is half his Instagram account. The player in the Insta video is clearly a close friend, why not celebrate your friend scoring?

If he is sulking about not playing, that doesn't anger me. That means he wants to play and he's frustrated, that's a good thing. This is why I want to see him given a chance in the League Cup, so he can show if he can actually be arsed working for his spot or not. The manager has said he's in the current and future plans, but he's not had a look-in (see what I did there ;)) so who wouldn't be frustrated?!

Honestly, this has blown so far out of proportion it's ridiculous. There's 2 scenarios; 1) he stays or 2) he goes. It's not a volatile situation until the fans make it into one.

Matt, I’m not suggesting I know for sure- I expected better of you than that- what I’m saying is with all the speculation and hype surrounding him wanting a move he’s not stupid enough to think that will not pour petrol on the fire. Silva said in his last interview that he is the future of the club and it is up to us to convince him of that. If that doesn’t tell you he is agitating for a move then I don’t know how much clearer he needs to be.
