  1. sounds like they did very well, could only field 4 subs with injuries and international call ups for some of the more recognized labs, a lot of U19s played. Sounds like an interesting competition and give the lads good experience.
  2. Better get the groundsman to oil the revolving door there will be plenty coming in and going out tomorrow I reckon.
  3. At that price could be good cover for Baines and central defence backup. Similar to Holgate covering RB and centre back.
  4. Dangerous game, if they are just after players Walsh is identifying who will fit into the Everton team and style of play. They probably won't be the best fit for Arsenal.
  5. Sounds like Beckham, in the free kicks, but better in the good player bit
  6. well if Wiki are right about his style of play. Gabbiadini is versatile, creative and hardworking forward, who is capable of playing in several offensive positions, as a striker, supporting forward, attacking midfielder or as a winger on either flank. His preferred role is on the right, however, where he is capable of curling shots on goal with his stronger left foot. A dynamic player, he possesses pace, positional sense and good technique, which, along with his strength, allows him to play with his back to goal and hold up the ball for teammates. Gabbiadini is capable both of creating and scoring goals due to his intelligence and his powerful and accurate shot with his left foot; he is also an accurate set-piece taker. He looks like he'll be a good option to play in the team alongside Rom and fill in when he's not playing.
  7. point taken, thought when everyone is match fit I have a feeling RK will go for a back 4. I think Mori could be decent given time and I don't think he would like being a bench warmer. Better solution woiuld have been to keep Galloway as back up left/centreback and let Oviedo go on loan. 17m seems expensive for what may not be a huge improvement
  8. Do we need him? with the addition of Williams to replace Stones and the emergence of Holgate. I think if we were to buy him the logical scenario would be Jags going the other way as part of the deal, surely that would keep Moyes happy?
  9. Sounds fine as a back up, frees Holgate up for Central Defence backup then do we need Kone? I would like Lucas perez, then possibly a creative midfielder that can pull the strings, then business done.
  10. could see how bad they want stones, they can give us Iheanacho plus 30 million i'll be happy with that lol
  11. If Lukaku leaves we will need to strikers and Remy is at least good enough for one of those two. He's more prolific than Kone, who gets a lot of stick but I think could have been a decent signing if he didn't get injured so soon into his Everton career. It will give us some time to find the Lukaku replacement, ideally someone that can hold the ball up and bring others into play more.
  12. Jags has been a good player don't get me wrong, but has never been that commanding centre back that organises everything, he'll put his body on the line to block anything and great at last ditch tackle, but Williams is more the complete centre half and will help whomever he's playing with be it Mori or Stones if he stays.
  13. no resale value but good solid premiership centre back that will do 2 or 3 years easilly.
  14. I hope we don't sign players for the sake of it, they need to be better than we have already, I think we have a pretty decent first 11, just last season there were obviously issues in morale fitness and tactics, hopefully those will be resolved and with the addition of a two or three quality players we can be contending for top 6 easily maybe top 4
  15. just saw this live coverage. 1-0 up going into injury time http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/watch-celtic-u20s-take-everton-8478460#4MO5cbYQR7GwjKOL.97
  16. Too much money but I think he would have been a great partner for Vardy, not an out and out goal scorer but good at holding ball up and laying it off. I imagine Ron will identify the type of player he wants and Walsh will go out and find them. If he wants someone like deeney who Ranieri obviously wanted he would identify the options. Lets just give him time and see who he comes up with, probably none of the names we have been linked with so far.
  17. Haf, have you got the car fuelled up ready to drive him to Chelsea training ground?
  18. Less than £45million and won't be missing with African cup of nations, and may be attracted by the manager he knows.
  19. Good player but a lot of money for someone that may be off to African cup of nations. He'll probably pick Chelsea anyway as living in Italy working under an Italian manager and also living in London would likely be favoured choices. Ronald will probably prefer Virgil van Dijk, someone he knows, done well in league and will surely be cheaper
  20. He was obviously decent in Russia, so looks like injuries or confidence are reasons he's looking so bad. Or we got his lesser talented twin brother.
  21. Sounds like he's been carrying injuries for a while, buy Witsel or other new quality player and rest McCarthy get him fully fit in the meantime use Barry/Besic. Hopefully with a different training regimes players like McCarthy Besic etc will be playing more and be fitter which definitely was an issue last season. Too many injuries and tiredness leading to late goals against.
  22. Lazy journalists again knowing we're in the market for a striker. He would end up being a straight Kone replacement, but certainly not enough quality of consistency in front of goal.
  23. He's sensibly taking his time, assessing what he's got and making sure he gets the right players in. Hopefully it will be quality over quantity.
  24. definitely worth a gamble, class player on his day and can pass the ball.
