  1. Maybe one of the mega bucks China league teams will take him, surely he's still up to that level.
  2. Certainly a good keeper but way to much money, only last summer Petr Cech went to Arsenal for a quarter of that. Journalists putting two and tow together thinking Pelligrini will go to Everton and City's new manager will bring in his own keeper.
  3. Sorry I did and couldn't see a thread, apologies.
  4. Where's Brendan these days, I've not seen him featured in the squad for a while. Is he injured or out of favour?
  5. Something is definitely up, but I think it's a bit premature to call him a dub. The Russian league is a pretty decent standard and he was scoring plenty of goals there. I know Vardy played through a wrist injury for ages but different injuries can causing different pains and it could cause issues bumping and jarring it. It's certainly not been a £13.5million well spent so far, but I was say give him time and lets see what happens. I would like to see him play as a complete wildcard in the derby and maybe just his pace and power to surprise.
  6. I know jury is still out on Niasse but we will also have the swiss lad Tarashaj next season, so If Rom does get enticed to a bigger club like Madrid I can see just the one striker, someone like Bony may not be a bad fit as he has proven himself in the premiership and you have the potential of the other two coming through for competition.
  7. Even against a premiership U21 team it may be a good ground filler and probably more TV money.
  8. May well be overpriced, but I would give him time, can take a while to adjust to new country, league , system., a year ago many of you would have said Lukaku was overpriced now there's talk of his value being a lot higher.
  9. Haven't they just had a break, no game at the weekend and the squad off for warm weather training last week? I can't see any shocks, Baines may come back for Ovideo and Stones back if fit, but apart from the be the same old.
  10. Surely with the money paid the hope is Kone's long term replacement will be Shani Tarashaj when he comes in the summer. Bringing in Yarmolenko would be the ideal scenario for Naismith leaving
  11. I thought he was playing quite well till he got injured, maybe he was rushed back, in the games since he has returned he certainly has made mistakes and looks off the pace. It won't have helped now Jags is injured and he has to get used to playing with Mori, one of them will have to step up and be a leader and that's probably stones so another new situation.
  12. He's good but can make blunders too, wasn't too impressive in Scotlands crucial international v Poland lately. I think there will be better options out there, I would happily take Valdes loads of experience at high level and will have the incentive to prove himself to Van Gall and co. He may be free or have low transfer fee wages may be on the high side but if promised chance of regular football he that may be negotiable.
  13. Howard certainly should have done better there, but I feel the whole defence should do better in handling set pieces, there's not enough organisation going on considering we have experienced players like jags and Barry.
  14. He's on trial so no risk, Roberto obviously has contacts in Spain so he feels it worth giving him a try. If over his injury problems he's still on 26 so worth a look maybe a short contract of things work out. Browning can do a job but is out of his depth when going forward then gets pulled out of position. I agree let him get experience at Centre Back.
  15. I would rather Borwning at RB and keep stones and Jags in the centre. Only other change I would consider is Lennon for Kone to give him more protection, Jefferson Montero has started the season well and could do with more width to keep him contained.
  16. Vickery's comments are fair enough but he does admit he is negative in general on south American defenders. Ramiro seems like a late developer who has improved a lot in recent season or two and now getting Argentina caps. He looks useful in the air too, for a Defender he seems to have scored a few goals on you tube
  17. He's probably a better number 10 than a winger but spurs prefer players such as erikson there. They may well sell him if it frees up the cash to buy Berahino.
  18. would the £9.5million be his wages? as it says £9.5million for 5 years, thats less than 40k a week so could make sense?
  19. Stones has asked for a Transfer, we haven't transfer listed him or tried to push him out. Surely it would be a worse sign keeping players that don't want to be here. It shows that Everton are a good club to help you develop as a player.
  20. You almost have a catch 22 situation, plenty of players who need game-time but with a lack of match sharpness and not used to be playing with each other, they are going to struggle a bit. I watched a bit of the Stoke Luton game last ngiht, Stoke team looked much stronger on paper but due to lack of match practice they struggled and didnt play well as a team. Let's hope our boys can do better tonight.
  21. Jones would be an odd ones just having signed a 4 year contract this summer, paper talk again? I wouldn't mind him still being only 23 with lots of Man U and England experience at that ge he can't be that bad and with a new club and fresh challenge he may prove to be a good sign if it happened. Just need to wait and see.
  22. With the exception of Rooney how many of those young players have gone on to be a success after leaving. Arteta did well but he was at his peak and close to being at the end of his contract when he left. The likes of Rodwell left too early, Ball could have been a decent player but had some serious injury problems. For the club and for Stones I would like to see him stay for anopther year but I think his agent is the one pushing hard for him to leave seeing the ££ signs is too strong.
  23. Can't see it myself unless the Mori transfer falls through. If Stones leaves I think we'll go for Evans and I don't think he'll he a bad replacement, could slot in straight away and the likes of Mori/ and further down the line Galloway, Browning etc can takeover from Jags.
  24. He tries to overplay to much, gets away with it in Scotland but not in premiership. Stones is young enough to adapt, I'm not sure Virgil is. Could surprise me but looks overhyped and frequently exposed in europe.
