  1. I Think we need to establish which area's of the squad we need to improve on. Since we've signed Neville we can get away with slotting him at right back, left back so thats not imediate. If we keep Ferrari then we have our centre halfs with loads of cover.Midfield would normally pick itself but it depends on what formation we play next season. I feel we need cover for the right hand side but on the left we have Arteta, Kilbane, Van De Meyed and Jimmy Mac. So maybe Routledge from Spurs for about £2 million. Carsley should be up and raring to go with a good pre-season but we could do with a play maker in the centre in case of injuries.Malbranque maybe? I think we all know up front is were we are lacking. If Big Dunc goes in the summer we are down to two forwards plus Vaughan when he gets fit. Ideally you would need 5 stikers, I'm desperate for Johnson and i'd like Nugent aswell. If not Johnson ive always liked Roberts at Wigan ever since he played for Bristol Rovers. Oh yeah i'd keep Nige for one more year with Turner as back up.
  2. My first game was when my stepdad threw and Everton scarf and told me i was going. 1986 versus Southampton we won 6-1 Lineker scored a trick. That was me then i thought every game was gonna be like that. No other club could ever come close to the thrills and spills that we've been through 20 years from then
  3. If Yobo went and played for a team in the Champions league i would expect him to go on and be one of the worlds best defenders. If he cuts out the silly errors form time to time he is world class. He relies on his pace to get him out of trouble when he ball watches sometimes but that will change with a bit of experience. I do hope he stays but unless he signs a new contract expect him to go just like Tommy.
  4. My logic is that Gamst Pederson will be snapped up next season by somebody and why shouldn't it be us. He's quick, athletic and scores GOALS.If you can get a winger who scores 10-15 goals a season then that helps enormously. Bullard is an honest hardworking midfielder, granted he may not get in as first choice but we need a squad.
  5. I was thinking about this the other day. As we all know it takes a certain type of player to be succesful at Everton at the moment. Davey wants young, committed and hard working players that have the right character. My picks are: Andy Johnson - Palace Jimmy Bullard - Wigan Gamst Pederson - Blackburn
  6. As long as we get 3 points i don't care cos this is a game that Sunderland have nothing to lose. 1-0 Cahill.
  7. Can i ask a question that is really bugging me? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU KEEP COMING ON AN Everton WEBSITE FOR? Is it some deep yearning to know what it feels like to be a part of something that actually means something? Or is it because the times you have seen anfield or seen Liverpool play on the t.v. you thought this is what proper fans do? Do yourself a favour and try and stay on your own site so then you and hundreds of others can actually try and out do yourself into believeing your opinions count. P.s whats the weather like in Norway?
  8. Let's be honest we were soundly beaten. I thought we looked good early on. The ref made a rod for his own back with the Cahill booking and was playing catch up from then on. We looked ok until a minute from half time and from then on we were awful. How many times do we concede a couple of minutes into either half? Wright was at fault AGAIN, he really has no positional sense and once again made a bad decision on when to come for the ball and making the forwards mind up. even when we scored we never pressured them and looked like getting an equalizer. Sissoko ran the midfield and i'm sure from the casual observer it looked like it was us that had ten men. The annoying thing is they were there for the taking. We looked bright and inventive when Osman, Mcfadden and Beattie linked but we just faded. Van De Meyde's sending off was a joke but too little to late the ref was always looking to equal the score. A bad day at the office..........
  9. There's a lot to be optimistic about. We are playing fluid attacking forward. For Osman's goal on saturday the whole move was pure class. If we can just sort out a goalie and striker for next year the squad will be solid and ready for another shot at the champs league. Maybe i'm going too far but why not?
  10. I think we definately can. We are playing with a bit of a swagger now and its all down to confidence. If we carry on that will be 3 out of 4 seasons we have been challenging for europe and i'm made up with that. All we need is a couple of additions to the squad and watch us go next season.
  11. I'd take a point.I always worry about Fowler the twit.We can do it though 1-2 Cahill and Beatts.
  12. Fucking hell Zed i must have been watching a different game. Some of the football we played in the first half was excellent, as good as we've played all season.I go home and away and have been really impressed on how we have played lately. The second half was a non event as the game was finished and Villa had nothing to fear.Of course Villa had a couple of chances, what team doesn't in a game? but what matters is what goes in the net.
  13. Just been on tp Blue Kipper and there is a very interesting interview with Wyness that happened yesterday. I'm not very technical so maybe one of you guys can get the transcript on here?
  14. I might be wrong but i thought Joey signed a new deal with us? He is a player who must not be allowed to leave. To be honest i'm amazed there has been no interest before now. By the time Joey is 28 I expect him to be one of the top defenders in the world.
  15. Think we'll sneak in 6th place. We are looking strong at the minute and more importantly SCORING GOALS.If we can get Cahill back scoring it might make all the difference.
  16. Seargant came on in a few games in China. He's a bit lightweight at the minute but that can change. He's a Wallasey lad and goes out with a mate of mines daughter. He's a good lad with potential so here's hoping............
  17. Need somebody quicker? Fook me you can't get much quicker than Johnson! I've been saying all along A.J is the man we should get. His movement off the ball his top class and he can finish from anywhere.I don't think it will be as easy as the papers say it is though. There will be 6-8 premiership clubs after him that's if Palace don't come up. A team consisting of the following would do me for next year. 1.Martyn 2.Hibbert 4.Yobo 5.Ferrari 3.Valente 7.Arteta 6.Neville 8.Cahill 11.Osman 9.Beattie 10.Johnson Subs; Carsley, Van deMeyde,Mcfadden,Kilbane, Stubbs, Vaughan
  18. Apparently we were in for Davies when he was at Luton but we wouldn't pay £3 million for him (which was alot) Arsenal will buy him at the end of the season for about £4-5 million, you watch.
  19. 2-0 Cahill and Beattie
  20. Lescott has been mooted for big money moves in the past then suffered a bad injury and was out for almost a year. Apparently he's back to full form. From all accounts he's quick, good in the air and on the deck. I'd snap him up.
  21. Sorry, just didn't want everybody thinking Davey has "slipped up" again in the transfer market by not securing a premiership flop who has scored a goal for Leicester City. I'm sure before he moves we could ask him to teach our players how to score from two yards out, seeing how they're so bad!!!
  22. We've got some winnable games at home coming up and we should start putting a run together. 3-1 Cahill,Ossie and Beattie
  23. Why is everybody going on about Joey Gudjonsen and wheher he could make it in the prem? Have people forgotten he used to play for Aston Villa and did absolutely nowt? The most memorable thing he was involved in was when Big Dunc decked him with a gutbuster just before Rooney scored a late winner a couple of season's ago. He's poo, simple as.
  24. Really pleased with our perfomance yesterday and two great goals scored. However did anyone notice how poor our goals were that we conceded? Sander should have had the first one and the second was rout one and should have been cut out. Stubbs and Weir have been great but as soon as Joey is back he should be moved right back in.
  25. When Koldrup signed Moyes stated that they had been watching him for 2 -3 years and they only moved in when they knew Udinese needed the money and couldn't believe they wanted to sell him. I think it's ludicrous in this day and age that clubs would buy somebody on a scouts recomendation. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but knowing how careful are Davey is with money there is no way that has happened. At the end of the day there are players out there who are just not suited for a certain style of play or league.
