We always seem devoid of ideas on how to break teams that sit deep. Tonight it looks like they understand that Gordon will always cut inside. Crosses in the box have been poor. Townsend isn't having the best game. Allan seems to be the only one trying some creative passes. Our players look like they are just waiting for someone to pull off something individually brilliant. Need to be crossing into the box or creating some 1-2s.

Unsure if it is the ESPN broadcast or not but sounds like it is dead quiet in Goodison. Hope the fans get going because the players aren't at the moment.

Maybe Price will replace him if things go well.

Also wonder where Onyango is? Wonder if he is hurt or sick? Doubt we would want Allan and Doucs playing the full 90.

Dobbin is not really a striker though. Maybe instead of Townsend?

Normally El Bobble only mentions team news like 15 minutes before the team news actually drops so it makes me wonder if it is mind games like you describe... that or possibly a more serious injury... Will just have to see if he is included.

Where did you hear that? Via social media looks like he has recently been / might still be in Australia. Though he does travel a bit so unsure if that really means anything.

Out of nowhere the club has appointed someone. Had not heard any rumors leading up to this. Did anyone else? Assume everyone wanted the role filled sooner vs later. Wonder who was behind the appointment? Morshiri? The strategic review? The rest of the board? Is Tim Cahill still around? Obviously have a lot of questions but it is nice to see the club make a quick decisive decision without it being telegraphed on SkySportsNews well before it happens.
