  1. I’ll still manage to get on site you won’t get rid of me that easily
  2. Is Boris hoping that the Ukrainian Russian stand off is going to be his Thatcher’s Falklands conflict, and take the heat off all his problems at home. I may seem cynical but he’s gone to the Ukraine imo to get us embroiled deeper than we need to be at this moment in time to try and make it the number one topic of choice for reporters instead of his partying.
  3. I would go a long with that to start with you couldn’t drop a fit Allan and Doucoure imo they have been 2 of our better players, DCL has no real competition so will be an automatic even if he’s struggling to find his form, I would go with Gray and Richarlison because of their goals.
  4. Now we have added VDB and Alli to our midfield and we are expected to play a 433 who would you pick as your ideal 3 in the middle and 3 up top.
  5. Maybe exaggerated most were optimistic and one was very excited which stuck in my mind, I would love him to be a success but I feel less optimistic than most based on his last few seasons, every manager has given him the opportunity at Spurs but hasn’t taken them, can Lampard get more out of him I can’t see how. I’m with the Spurs fan would love to see him become a success for us, but as he said can’t see it.
  6. There has to be we’ve defended a very deep line for a few years now, I would love to see us playing our football more in the opposition’s half than camped in our own.
  7. Not me he’s guilty as fuck we heard what he was saying to her and we saw the damage he inflicted on her, he’s been kept in police custody for 3 days and that doesn’t happen if there wasn’t a case to answer too, that usually happens when they feel there is grounds for a more serious charge than what he was originally arrested for.
  8. Our problem with the high press is we haven’t got the pace with the likes of Keane and Mina at the back when they are pressing near the half way line, they haven’t got the legs to chase a ball played over the top, we could be leaving ourselves wide open having to defend so far up the field. The midfield won’t be helping the back 4 when there 15yrds or more and pressing in unison to a ball over the top, you can only defend that with pace in the back 4.
  9. Your right with our defence very dangerous.
  10. My point being not everyone knows that Steve, quite a few have been gushing about him, I see a player who hasn’t performed in years under various managers, can Lampard be the man to get a tune out of him I hope so, but in all honesty I think that’s a big hope and there’s a greater chance of him not making it here. VDB I have more hope for Utd don’t want to sell because they know and have seen a player with a good future.
  11. To be honest if a deal for a player seems to good to be true it normally is, this is what concerns me about Alli, Spurs will no more about him as player and person than we do, we aren’t getting a player who is a regular in the Spurs team he hasn’t been for years under 3 different managers, it was exactly same with James. It seems some supporters if not most are blinded by the name, like big name trophy hunters or magpies, what we need to remember is these deals were agreed by the selling clubs for a reason and it wasn’t because they were deemed good or of any use to themselves. Some people would do well to remember not all that once glittered is still gold.
  12. You may have said in jest but possibly very true there was a deal going on there but James wouldn’t do the deal for the club he said he wanted to return to due to pure greed.
  13. Not the best deal of the window to be fair an option to buy would have been better, but hey if he gets the goal or the assist that keeps us up then he will be the best deal of the window.
  14. Thought you was drawing the lottery numbers for a moment.
  15. Well if he doesn’t let’s get 2 CBs would probably do us better imo.
  16. This is turning out to be the best transfer window for years and it’s being done on shoestring budget compared to previous years.
  17. Well let’s hope we get to pay the 40m.
  18. How come we are making better deals now without a DoF insight
  19. Let’s hope he is the one we’ve been waiting for since the departure of Moyes, he comes from a family life surrounded by football, played at the highest level and worked under some of the best managers in the modern game. My only fear for him is our defence particularly CBs they have been the undoing of many a manager here in the last few years, let’s hope he doesn’t have to change his tactics because the defence can’t do the basics. But can’t wait to see his first game in charge I’m full of optimism again.
  20. No but it wouldn’t be a bad thing and hopefully Bill has the Chairman’s role removed, we need to start getting tougher and more intense at boardroom level, we’ve been to nicey nicey for far too long.
  21. The problem we’ve had for a few years now is the EITC ethos which is very commendable for all it’s hard work and sticking by the community with it’s charitable work, has seeped into the running of the football club, Bill and Denise just want to help everyone with an Everton connection and their charitable values don’t really work when the tough decisions have to be taken, we need a board that sees it and says it as it is, and can distinguish between their friendship’s and the job in hand.
  22. That’s sounds a lot better than bringing Gona back to help us go down.
