A player in Holgate’s position with more experience would have dropped 10 or 12 yards to give Keane an option to pass when he turned back towards his goal, Holgate just stayed so when Keane turned there was less than 2 yards between them with 2 players all over him. I have a feeling Mina is not in Rafa’s long term plans for a few reasons. 1) he possibly doesn’t rate him that highly 2) he’s constantly picking up injuries and 3) Rafa will see his selling fee and £140K a week wages as great opportunity to improve the team.

He’s going to be dropping one of them if Godfrey is ready, and if it’s Keane you are right it’s going to be hard on him. But I would rather see Keane and Godfrey than Holgate and Godfrey.

What will happen now is teams will set up to stop our crosses coming in, which will leave them open to attacks down the middle, if we can be as successful down the middle as we look like we are going to be out wide we will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
