  1. A very valid point, in the last 3-4 days our midfield as probably become the oldest in the league, some good younger players to learn off our first team mids would be a sensible way to go
  2. In all fairness to yourself I searched and found that Arsenal I think offered Willian a 3 year deal at 30 nearly 31 I think, so it does happen, although in this case the extra year may have been an inducement because he was a free. Let’s definitely marvel at the fact Carlo is our manager and hopefully saviour.
  3. I understand what you’re getting at but in this instance there age had more of an influence on the length of the contract than who they were, I would also guess that Allan and Rodriguez wouldn’t have entertained even talking to us if it wasn’t for Ancelotti, and he would have been at the forefront of the negotiations, I haven’t looked but I believe you would be hard pressed to find many 29 year olds been offered a 4-5 year contract in the PL especially on the sort of money they are on.
  4. I didn’t put Delph down because they don’t play the same position, but if we throw Delph in as well we should nearly save the £10.50
  5. If he’s available and a player or players plus cash deal can be negotiated, then let’s get him he’s definitely an upgrade on Walcott Bolasie Iwobi and Bernard, any 3 of them and £10.50 should seal it.
  6. Yes but only in hindsight are they 3 of our top signings, they could have quite easily have been flops, the facts are he is no genius he does give out 4 and 5 year contracts, but like anyone with an ounce of sense you don’t do that to players of that are 29 years old. I’m telling you now if he would have been here when Gylfi Schneiderlin Bolasie Sandro they would have all ended up with the same length of contract, he’s not the guy you make out that only dish’s out 2 and 3 year contracts, that was done purely because of their age not their ability or their profile.
  7. You would have to be a complete dick to give a five or four year deal to players of 29 years of age, that’s the only reason they are shorter contracts, it’s not because he doesn’t give out long term contracts take a look at Richarlison, Iwobi, Gomes, Digne, Mina ect, personally I think you’re reading to much into what any sensible person would do with players of that age, and suggesting he’s had some sort of divine vision for doing so, when in reality he’s done what would have been expected from anyone.
  8. Only when it suitsbut for once I can’t remember whinging as much as I did last season, over our summer transfer window, is this were you prove me wrong
  9. And as much as we love him that goes for Gomes as well. Just hope he can find it in himself to get back to where we know he can be.
  10. Coca and coffee should be in your favourite Colombian thing’s.
  11. He just signed a 5 year deal, if he turns out to be very good we could struggle to get him with Lamps still there in a year he really rates him.
  12. Calm down you nutter, I haven’t seen anyone whining, be happy Matt
  13. Quite possibly you are right mate DCL is still developing and is prone to having lean spells were he struggles to find the net, so this could be a back up signing to take some pressure off DCL. I hope your wrong on the Richarlison front and we are convincing him that there is a future here with the acquisitions we are making, didn’t Ancelotti reportedly ask him for another year before he made any decisions on leaving, so he could see the club were heading in the right direction.
  14. Rumour has it Ancelotti is interested in a striker currently playing for Valencia in Spain, I read it this morning but can’t find the link again to get the name, maybe some one else saw the same story and fill the gaps in, but I’m not going to question the professor, if he thinks we need another striker then we need another striker end of.
  15. I can hardly believe all this is happening, and there are still more rumours of more to come, with a central defender and striker being targeted.
  16. I don’t think there’s hurdle out there that you can’t get over mate, and if you do get stuck my friend there’s no one on here who wouldn’t give you a lift up, we love you mate and are all rooting for you. My uncle in Canada had an artificial voice he got it in the mid 80s after a similar op to yourself, my auntie use to be mortified with him when they went shopping, his trick was to scare other shoppers kids, he would find it hilarious.
  17. Great news hasn’t truly sank in yet, a world class player coming here after the last few seasons we’ve had unbelievable. Thank you Carlo wouldn’t be happening without you.
  18. For me actions speak louder than words, it wouldn’t surprise me if Ancelotti is asking questions of Brands and the back room staff before he arrived, why the fuck has he been out on loan for over a year.
  19. I like the formation Zoo just a couple of changes for me Gylfi for James who I don’t think will start or make the bench, Iwobi for Bernard who feel is a stronger player and I believe Ancelotti likes, and Mina for Holgate who maybe struggling with the injury, and finally Coleman for Kenny. I think in your selection our right hand side would lack to much experience for a Spurs side and we would easily be exploited, if you are going to put Bernard or Iwobi out wide you would need the experience of Coleman behind, and at the moment if you played Kenny I feel you would need the experience of Walcott in front of him.
  20. There is no doubt in my mind that he has an exceptional talent we’ve all witnessed it, his first Derby will stick out for me as master class in midfield he was the best player on the pitch, sadly we haven’t been getting that anymore before or after the injury. As a person I love him, he’s a genuinely humble caring human being, As a footballer I respect him, but I also worry for him because we are bringing in some huge talent in the midfield, some are concerned about his mentality I hope he comes out fighting for his place and gives Ancelotti a dilemma on his starting eleven, because he has a lot of convincing to do imo.
  21. Your right he’s definitely got more to contribute to the team than some, can see him getting some game time this season if he doesn’t get moved on. Then who knows a contract extension could be in the offering, I wouldn’t put that past us stranger things have happened at Everton.
