  1. Whatever he had at half time I hope he has it before kick off next Monday.
  2. Today he looked back to his smooth best after that little drop in performances.
  3. Should have done better with his other two opportunities but a great all round centre forward performance from him this afternoon.
  4. Well, that was not pleasant to watch. And I'm not talking about the actual football there because we did actually play some alright stuff at times, but it was only ever in short bursts and never a spell where we keep the pressure on. But when we had those bursts of looking like we wanted to win we made opportunities. We just didn't take those opportunities. Without being great I thought we were the better side and should have won by more than one goal but we made things harder, and more nerve-wracking, than they needed to be. We must improve on maintaining pressure, especially in these games against the sides around us.
  5. He played really well. I did want to sub him once Burnley went down to 10 men though, simply because Oliver would have been looking to even it up. Then I thought, but who would replace him and simply crossed my fingers on both hands .
  6. The only positive about away games for me is that I get to drink, because I don't drink when I'm there at the home games. It's taken all of my will power not to mind . Shitting a brick currently but I'll be bringing all the positive energy once I get in that ground. The fans have an important part to play today and I'm determined to not bring any negativity with me.
  7. It really is fucking horrible. We just need them to pull it out of the bag today and get it done. Doesn't matter how they do it but just do it.
  8. I feel so fucking nervous for this today. I'll be getting to my seat early as requested from the 1878s and doing my bit for the team all game long. Come on you fucking blues!
  9. This is the third meeting between Everton and Burnley in all competitions this season, with the Toffees winning 3-0 in the EFL Cup and 2-0 in the Premier League so far. The last time they beat a team three times in the same season while keeping a clean sheet each time was in 1995-96 against Blackburn. Since the start of last season, all nine of Everton’s Premier League home wins have been to nil. They’ve drawn five and lost 17 of their last 22 at Goodison Park when conceding at least once, since a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace in May 2022. Burnley have conceded 30 away Premier League goals this season, their most in a season since 2018-19, when they conceded 36 under Sean Dyche. The Clarets have shipped two or more goals in their last six on the road, last having a longer such run in the competition in their first 11 away games in 2009-10. Everton won seven of their first eight home Premier League games under Sean Dyche when they scored the first goal, only conceding one goal in those eight games. However, they have lost their last two when scoring first, losing both games 3-1 to Manchester City and West Ham. Amadou Onana has scored in both of Everton’s games against Burnley in all competitions. The last Toffees player to score in three separate games against an opponent in a single season was Romelu Lukaku against Leicester in 2016-17. Having beaten his former club Burnley earlier this season in the Premier League, Everton manager Sean Dyche could be the second Toffees manager to complete a double over a former club in a Premier League season, along with Sam Allardyce in 2017-18 against Newcastle United. Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin ended an 18-game goalless run in the Premier League with his goal against Newcastle. He last netted in consecutive games in September this season, while he has three in his last five against Burnley
  10. The same place where Baines, Rooney and Ferguson are his dream team for management?
  11. Mistake? Fuck up? And it's honour. Unless you're an American.
  12. One of my favourite shows as well.
  13. I’m going to have to see it in person on Saturday, aren’t I? Fuck.
  14. I’m not even going to ask where you found a Gomes blow up doll but I hope you had fun with it.
  15. He was really poor for their goal last night. Let Isak cut on to the strong foot and then that little dive to win the ball even though he was nowhere near it was pathetic. It's not the first time he's gone to ground when he shouldn't either but that will come with experience. Tbh, he's looked off it for a little while. It was to be expected though because there was no way he was going to keep playing the way he was.
  16. I laughed and then considered crying when this actually happened yesterday.
  17. Knowing you, you've sent it to the wrong address.
  18. Everton remain winless in 13 Premier League games (D5 L8), only once in their league history have they gone more consecutive games without a win, a run of 14 in September 1937. Alexander Isak has scored in each of his past five Premier League home games for Newcastle, only Alan Shearer (15), Andrew Cole (eight) and Les Ferdinand (six) have scored in more consecutive games in the competition for the Magpies at St James’ Park. Harvey Barnes has been directly involved in three goals (two goals, one assist) in his past two Premier League games, as many as in his first 11 in the competition for Newcastle, while all six of his goal involvements for the Magpies have come at St James’ Park. Newcastle's Alexander Isak scored his 25th Premier League goal, only Sebastian Larsson (26) and Freddie Ljungberg (48) have scored more in the competition among Swedish players. Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first Premier League goal since October, ending a run of 18 matches and 41 shots in the competition before converting his 88th minute penalty against Newcastle. He's netted more goals in the competition against Newcastle (six) than any against any other opponent.
  19. I was very disappointed to see him go off. I don't think he was brilliant but he was far from deserving to be substituted.
  20. People won't appreciate him until he's not our keeper.
