  1. I dont blame him at all either, it was for me a good decision, and seems to have had the right effect on Moise.
  2. Pride is the word, under Marco ( who I liked and wanted him to come here) this season if felt like we were drifting in to a state of “who gives a Fcck” To see Marco standing on the touch line with his hands in pockets passively watching us loose to all three promoted teams, and the rest was horrible, Duncs passion and pride for our club is 100% evident and was felt by the fans again at each of the games. I hope Carlo has seen that and uses Dunc to carry it on for him as Carlo doesn’t strike me as being that demonstrative.
  3. Moise needs to settle down a bit, which given his age is understandable, against Utd he shown serious lack of understanding, and against Arsenal he was trying too hard, and trying to beat too many players ( like the rest of team on Saturday it has to be said) he needs to learn to lay the ball off sooner, he does seem to have a good skill set, and hopefully with time it will come good, a goal will do him the work DOF good confidence wise. As it stands I’d much rather see him come on as a sub than start, and rather than Tosun, with Moise at least it feels he might do something, I don’t get that feeling with Tosun.
  4. If it is Iwobi related this is the Iwobi thread, them MJB is right, and I agree, he’s not doing it for me at all, all huff and puff without any end result.
  5. Can’t be with us much longer after the horror show of his short appearance yesterday, totally underwhelming, highlighted when he kicked the ball out for a corner when he didn’t need to touch it.
  6. There was one attack in the first half where he failed to keep up with the attack, Richy down the left, if he had he would have been free at the edge of the box giving Richy an option, but no he jogged and was barely over the half way line. Golden opportunity missed.
  7. Weird game yesterday, 90 minutes of two teams unable to pass to each other effectively, both managers must have walked away think we should have won that. Tosun coming on for Iwobi baffled me, and just didn’t work out, I wasn’t surprised when he was pulled, and neither should Tosun have been, if he thinks he was doing ok then he needs to keep walking away and find another team. We looked tired all game, Burnley on Thursday will be tough physically, we will need to rediscover our intensity.
  8. DCL for me, had a calm composed head on him when everyone else rushed passes or held on too long.
  9. Agreed, and I don’t think we should underestimate his influence on the team in the last two games, without his experience we could have come unstuck quite easily IMO.
  10. Or left back.......... on the bus as the old joke goes
  11. Showed glimpses of what we were hoping to see, but still inexperienced, ran into too many dead ends and tried to take one one man too many too often. He did put in one lovely ball from the right hand side. Hopefully starting to find his feet here.
  12. His performance last night, highlighted all my concerns over him, ran around like a headless chicken, getting suckered in by defenders, and couldn’t make a pass to a team mate, don’t want to see him playing out wide again.
  13. Baines for me, seemed to be the only player with a wise and calm head on his shoulders, and his equaliser nearly blew the roof of Goodison.
  14. Thoughts on him so far as were close to half season in. I was impressed with him in the first few games, but the last 6-7 I think he has been disappointing, runs around a fair bit, but often without any purpose or effect, and I can’t stand the throwing his hands up in the air if what he was trying to do doesn’t work out. I think he’s capable of far more, and hope it’s just been the piss poor Marco effect that’s stoped him from impressing.
  15. So Maguire is holding Holgate, penalty to the blues!
  16. Think he’s implying we were at bare bones today
  17. Thought he was great again today, there were a couple of times the Utd defenders were whinging about him and his presence ( ie hitting them like a good CF should and letting them know they have a game on their hands ) The lad is only going to improve and be a key player for us
  18. It’s what we need at this point, imagine Marco doing that!
  19. DCL had an great game again, gave united defenders lots to think about and got under their skin, but I’m going for Mason, I reckon we were all worried at kick off when he took up the midfield role, but he played really well and stood up to the plate brilliantly, his composure on the ball and confidence attitude helps him slot in where needed. Bainsy was excellent for his first real run out this season, calm head and all that.
  20. Happy with the result, although thought we were going to hold on for all three points as they didn’t seem that threatening. Kean cane on and was poor for me, Duncs in charge and pulled him off for the benefit of the team and points, Kean isn’t going to like it but tough. Did anyone think we would get 4 points from these two games after the Liverpool game, I certainly didn’t. Cant wait for Wednesday under the lights COYB.
  21. Looks like our hand is being forced with team selection, Iwobi in Siggys role where he has been at his best, he look lost on the wing IMO, got to be a game where we defend with our lives and hit them on the counter, think there be a lot of us watching from behind the sofa !
  22. ^^Me too, good for Big Dunc and intended manager and the players IMO
  23. If we’re still undertaking a “project” I don’t think Ancellotti is the right man, always seems to be in short term positions. Emery might be a better prospect for a longer term
