Very true, particularly not going down as much, maybe now we have a mature manager he’s been told to play like a man ?

He was good yesterday, but he made the wrong choice of pass or ball on a few occasions, plus he doesn’t shoot enough, there were a number of times yesterday when I was screaming at him to shoot, but he didn’t, he seems a bit short on shooting confidence. Add his lack of ability to play 90 mins and there’s still work to do, but when he’s on it, he’s a delight to watch.

Richarlison for me, got the winner and kept trying for more. DCL Bernie and Holgate all gave good performances

I’d throw Dwight McNeill in aswell, drives Burnley forward, good crossing and scores a few too, But and it’s a big but, why are we not able to nurture own own at the moment, DCL, Holgate, Davies and JJK have come though but haven’t made such an immediate impact, of the four I want to all, but would want Davies to step up his physicality.

I’m in agreement on the positions, and we all really need to be realistic with where we are after the weekend, we were laughed at Sunday and in the press on Monday, and it’s still going on, which is possibly going to affect some in wanting to come here. Player wise in not sold on Mings, I’d prefer Ake if we could get him. Mooy is the type of player who would suit us right now, not quite there for a top 6 side but could help move us there, but like Drinkwater did well at Leicester in there winning season ( and NO I don’t want Drinkwater ! ) Somewhat slightly optimistic Marcus Rashford, front 3 of him DCL and Richy would frighten many defences. Its going to be an interesting window to see who does come in and who we manage to offload

This is a good point, while I think he has been woeful this season, the illness may have taken more out of him that we understand, for me he still needs to really earn his place in the squad never mind the starting 11, maybe a wide head to bring on after 70 mins?

We’re all hoping that our current manager has far more ability to motivate the players and this doesn’t happen.

There were but him and Sggy more so as it was the midfield, or rather lack of that cost us the game.

His “best before date” seems to have come and gone very quickly, hasn’t done a thing of note this season apart from a good goal against West Ham, and we have been relying on him to run our midfield, hasn’t happened and doesn’t look like it ever will again, time to sell or use as sub for last few minutes if we’re winning if we can’t offload him in the window. On a side note, I don’t really understand how any professional footballer can’t put in a good ball from a free kick or corner, the ball is static and there’s no one pressing them, all pro golfers and most low handicappers can hit a target zone time after time.

We lacked any sort of confidence today, when we did get a chance we fluffed it, should have been 3 up by half time with the game out of sight. The slow negative midfield was applying in the second half, we allowed their kids to grow in confidence and win with a great strike. Carlo said he was waiting until after today to look at transfers, well he now really has a good idea of what’s needed, we need to be aggressive in getting rid of the players who are failing us week in week out, Siggy, Schniederlin, Delph, the others I can live with until the summer.

Surely we have enough to beat that side today

And probably been caught out of position less, I want him back here after the loan finishes, he’s a true blue and will run through brick walls, gives the same lift to the team that DCL does when we’re being over run and they put a strong tackle in IMO

Aaron Mooy is on loan at Brighton and getting rave reviews from their fans, I’d be happy to look at bringing him here for the rest of the season with a view to buy
