  1. Yeah, that's true. I didn't realise it myself and was a bit horrified. When my wife was in labour there was a sign in the hospital saying that domestic abuse goes up around 52% (if I remember correctly) when England play. As much as I do consider football life and death, I wouldn't be doing any of that shite which is just plain wrong.
  2. I think they genuinely said that Pickford was one of the five, he took (and scored) a penalty against Switzerland in the Nations League so does have the technique. I'd expect Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount, Jordan Pickford, John Stones, Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford to be some of the main names mentioned.
  3. Sad to hear that, at least she got to see the trailer which is something . Could be a film that's good to watch together at home, with your other half there in spirit of course. Hope you and Josh are doing well under the circumstances.
  4. It's the old shirt, so not sure how helpful but I bought a baby kit for my daughter and personalised her name/number no problem. Might just be a case of needing to reload the website due to a glitch @Goodison Glory? On the subject of the models for the kit, the club will want to use those that are the most marketable; which is James and Richie due to their South American pull.
  5. 2-1 up and Denmark threw on an extra attacker and went all guns blazing, it made complete sense to add an additional defender and match them up formation wise. The fresh legs also allowed us to counter attack with Trippier on more than one occasion too, which allowed us to get up the pitch and spread the play.
  6. Looking forward to @Romey 1878 logging back in around mid October after finally getting off the buzz of England beating Italy . Work was difficult to get up for this morning, deary me.
  7. He's picked two 'keepers on the bench because it's, y'know, the rules?
  8. Tactical decision and it was spot on.
  9. Gareth Southgate has given me arguably the best moments in my life following football, absolutely love the man. What a time to be alive, inject it
  10. Here we go lads, don't think I've been this excited for a game of football in a long time.
  11. Glad that it has gone to a charity such as UNICEF, makes the mockery at least worthwhile as it's going to an organisation that really does change lives. I obviously don't know whether it's true or not, and wouldn't like to speculate especially as the matter is in police hands but tweets from an account resembling the man that has started the petition (unconfirmed whether real or fake to my knowledge) are beyond vile, with serious hints towards paedophilia.
  12. It's a load of shite, reminds me of when they introduced that 30 second knockout format in qualifying a few years back and it only lasted three races. The qualifying format is brilliant, it just needs the cars to be closer together competitively so that you have no idea who is going to get on the front row (like MotoGP). This will just give extra points/races to the likes of Red Bull and Mercedes. It's not as though Williams or Alfa Romeo are suddenly going to be mixing it up at the front.
  13. Wonder how @Cornish Steve will manage to make England shit tonight
  14. Apparently the GoFundMe page for the German fan pictured crying has reached £25,000 which is absolutely embarrassing. Thousands of good causes that money could go to yet there's a truckload going to someone because they were on the wrong end of a football result and were in the stadium and in front of a camera - the fact they were there at all says that they had enough money for flights, tickets, accommodation etc so no doubt aren't on the breadline.
  15. He comes across as a really nice guy (would happily have a pint with him) but he has a knack for reporting absolute twaddle. The kind of guy that would say that Nuno Santo is in the building at Finch Farm 15 minutes before we announce Benitez. Not something that I have a lot of trust in, so I don't give his reporting the time of day. Fabrizio Romano is the man to follow.
  16. Opened the link and saw Guillem Balgue's face looking back at me - closed the article and didn't read any more.
  17. There were banners against Martinez, at the end of his tenure is was as toxic as I've known Goodison and to be fair to Moshiri, he pulled the plug before the last game of the season against Norwich. That said, the rest of your post I do agree with. Funny how his acknowledgement of Moyes means that he was in the frame to take over - even if unsuccessful.
  18. Unbeaten and zero goals conceded, proper shite aren't we.
  19. Glad you agree that it's six previous managers, not ten .
  20. It's just a copy/paste from Southampton's template too which is what pisses me off. Everything about the leaked Everton shirt and the one below is the same, apart from the Saints trademark stripes of course - the annoying thing is that I remember seeing the collar on the Southampton shirt and just hoping that it wouldn't get moved onto ours as it's absolutely abysmal.
  21. This statement speaks volumes to me, no "I had great conversations" or "I was really sold the minute I met him". Just a generic statement from the DOF which shows to me that this appointment has totally split the boardroom. Won't end well this.
