Only now am able to talk about this game, at my age i don't need that much stress (excitement) Great result, over the last 20 odd years Everton would have folded, and lost, but not any more under Carlo. There is at least one happy pensioner this morning.

One thing is clear we need a new No1 the two we have are not good enough to take us forward. I keep hearing keepers mentioned from abroad, i would settle for Pope or Casper S if we could get either in the summer. Both proven in the premiership.

I remember watching a young player put in at left back, probably the worst i had seen at that time. Everyone was on his case, then they moved him to CB, the rest is history, that was K Ratcliffe. Holgate is not a full back, but i believe he will be a very good CB, IMO

The Newcastle result was made worse by there result last night, loosing at home to palace. I have no expectations for tonight, so i wont be upset will i ( oh yes i will )

Newcastle had a poor 11 players on the pitch compared to our 11, but they had a team we had 11 well paid players. Bruce set them up well, leave a foot in, stop James playing, and don't give us time on the ball, we had no plan. And that comes from the work done during the week, to drop 6 points to that shower is criminal, IMO

James, no one else turned up, and he lost interest in the second half, shame the old Iwobe turned up again.

Absolute dross, as flat as a fart, and no input from the touch line, if fat Sam had been in charge at the moment, we would rip him a new one on here. But Carlo gets away with it because hes Carlo, but there are to many of these performances for my liking. 11 men in our own half on Wednesday, now this, and other games, im not seeing enough change in our mentality. Im seeing better quality players, but not enough with backbone, and spirit. We lost today on mentality, player for player we were superior, by far.

Iwobi and Siggy off, Gomes and Godfrey on, push LD up, and have more pace at the back.

James for me, what we have been missing for years, class

Charli seams so not Interested, hope some one gets into him at HT, not been on his game for some time now.

I would like to see Holgate sat in front of the back 4, reads the game well, can tackle, and distribute the ball to a blue shirt. Perfect opportunity to try this with both our defensive mids out for this game, we know what Davis can do.

Best i can say say about that, it took me back to my Sunday league football. Can not defend anyone, 90 mins they were an embarrassment.

I find it difficult to pick anyone out as the worse player, they were all shocking. This slow play sideways and backwards is driving me round the twist. If that is what Carlo is preaching all week then we are in trouble, we are so slow its soul destroying. If that's not what they practice all week, then why are they all doing it, i need a lay down after that. I would like to say it was a one off, but there have been a lot of them type of games this season. Yes i do realize what position we are in the league, but we are talking west ham here.

Yes i have noticed the improvement in Keane, and its good, it was not a criticism, just a fact a forward that moves a lot or with pace, will beat Mina & Keane all day. He has taken better positions up for crosses, but not people running in behind him, but that's just my opinion.

I would like to see Holgate, he is the only defender we have who can spot danger, and deal with it, the rest react, usually to late. IMO

That's 2 solid performances on the bounce, very pleased with the spirt that's now evident. On the down side that's a big loss with Alan, a month at least the way he could not walk off the pitch. Yes VAR got it right, but you never make a tackle like that from behind in the box, big fan of Gomes, but he's not the same player since his injury, hopefully he will get there.

The last thing we want is another one paced midfielder, who so negative he has to turn his shirt around so you thing he's attacking.

At last after 6 awful games, a team turns up with a fighting spirit. I have to say where has been, well done lads, i will sleep well.

Went for Godfrey, swapped from one side to the other and never missed a beat, had no help from Charli.
