  1. Agree with some of what you say, but he impressed in the championship, not premier league, some of wolves' midfielders are well into their 30s, and he should have made it to a regular slot. if it was 10mil yes, but not 25-30mil, plus Gallagher has made a huge difference in the premiership, wherever Hes been, i would pay the extra for him, rather than take another chance on a player who frankly has never looked to take the premiership by storm, and still looks like a squad player. Just my opinion.
  2. Reading that he was not always first choice, and his game time was restricted, is this really going to move us forward. And it's a lot of money for another squad player. If he did not set wolves on fire, why would he here.
  3. Very sad to lose him, gave his all while he was here, i hope he gets a great reception on his return, thanks Charlie.
  4. I think everything is on hold, if we are being sold, the new owners may have put a block on any sales and purchasers till there feet are under the table.
  5. Yes, we fear the worst, and we are usually right.
  6. If, as being touted on SSN we sell our 2 best players, and take forty winks as part of the deal, then that says everything about our ambition, and predicament. If our chairman is looking to bail out (hopefully) he might just sanction this and pocket the cash on his way out.
  7. Iwobi still has a long way to go to justify that 35mil fee, it will take a lot more than 3 months of ok games to eradicate the 3 years of piss poor, under various managers. But as i said im happy to give Frank the chance to build a team, just this signing does not fill me with hope, i did not rate winks long before we were interested. But the game is all about opinions, and we all have our own, i hope im wrong. and hope Iwobi continues to improve.
  8. Anyone who has watched Winks over the last 18 months knows they are not getting an upgrade on anything that is already here. As for other people knowing better just look at last 5 years signings, no expertise required there. As for giving the new regime a chance to sort things out, I'm all for that, but i still think we have watched the game long enough to spot a dud when we see one.
  9. don't believe SSN are now saying we are in for him, my spurs mate cannot stop laughing. One paced, negative, always back or Sideways, could not tackle a good dinner, could not score in a brothel with a fist full of money. Have we not learned anything these last 5 years, buying other clubs cast offs who don't get in their own team, for God's sake use some imagination, and try something new. Try some young upper coming talent from around Europe. not the same kind of shite players we keep going for.
  10. Bang average, would not improve us one bit, very negative, sideways and backwards. A fit Davis is a much better prospect, im sure we have better youngsters who need a chance, that was something we used to do well, give youth a chance. Also, our chairman has just stated he intends to spend more wisely, this would be a good start, by keeping it in his pocket.
  11. Wondered what happened to him since the Rockford Files
  12. I hope we have learnt from the last 15 years of sack and spend. I for one want to give Frank a fair crack of the whip, with time and a sensible budget. My fear is BK will sack him in November after the world cup, and bring that clown RM back, to take another fortune off us.
  13. Our last chance saloon is palace on Thursday, Arsenal need to win to get in the champions league. Cannot believe we took one point of games with Watford, and Brentford, but that's why we are where we are. If we do stay up it will be down to what others do, not what we do. Never got a wink of sleep last night. As often said on here it's the hope that kills you.
  14. Yes i accept the point, and we are a poor side, but Watford are a piss poor side.
  15. When you think a team like Watford have taken 4 points off us this season, it explains why we are where we are. Manager leaving half the squad injured, already relegated, a lot out the door in the summer, i struggle to accept 0-0 But that's just me.
  16. With 7 thousand Toffee men and Z cars blearing out, we will be right up for it.
  17. At 68 this is not good for my heart, but im happy as fuck.
  18. Pickford for me, but everyone deserved huge praise for today's performance.
  19. Sorry to add to the gloom, but if we go into the bottom 3 today, that's it, no leaders, no bottle, no new manager bounce, to get us out. To be honest we have been getting relegated since October, but nothing improved, now i think it's too late, never happened in my 68 years, not sure how i will cope.
  20. GD is going to be so important; we must do whatever it takes to keep the score down, not an easy task, but must be our priority.
  21. Went for Pickers, a lot to choose from, did not think i would be typing that, also could have voted for the crowd, well done.
  22. I thank the lord, must start going to mass again.
