I do not like the idea of having next to no full back cover.
We've Delph to come in when called upon...

What a mess our squad is in - looking a real possibility (unless Rondon signs) that we will have 1 recognised ST, 1 recognised RB, 1 recognised LB and a CM of Allan, Doucoure, Davies, Gbamin and Delph. Christ Delph could be our backup LB option!!?!?!!

We have given him absolutely nothing to work with as well. Credit to him.
Yes, fully agree. I was not in the sign Rafa camp bit to be fair I'm starting to think he is absolutely the person we need at the moment.
I know it's only 3 games in....but seriously, I have some positivity coming back.

Phew....Got over the line there and gave some good minutes to replacements - not a bad outcome!

I think we will be resorting to loans in and out of the club now for this window. Probably some good options out there for us to get in - I don't know who but sure they are out there.
I can see Gordon, Braithwaite, Delph going out, possibly even James. Sadly think Moise will be looking glum come 1st Sept and he is still with us.

I wonder if their is a buy option for them
Apparently so - couple of million I've heard. Not sure I get it - he looked OK when he's stepped in for us and is a good age to keep for a bit yet.

This transfer sounds interesting - although he didn't play that much for Lisbon so can't get carried away yet. A lot of players seem to do well in the Prem from Lisbon

I dont expect Koulibaly to wear our shirt - I think if it was true that Carlo wanted him last season then the board /brands probably said ok you need a new CB - try looking at Godfrey instead. If Rafa wants another CB/Koulibaly the board will probably do the same.
Be interesting to know how the board/DoF/manager go about their transfer plans - does the manager say he wants player 1, 2 and 3 for example. Argue his case why that player and why that position and then the board/DoF say 'ok, you convinced us you need a winger or full back, but we are not going for Player 1 or Player 2 - take a look at Player A, Player B that our scouts have on their books'?

Don't want him, don't think he'll last 18 mths but if he does become our manager then he will get my support

I dont think anyone would argue that he's easily our best attacking player, maybe ever, IF he's fit. Which he wasn't most of the time. Which is why if he goes, it's not the end of the world.
Yep, indifferent if he stays or goes in my eyes. Same with Kean.

I'd be unbelievably happy if we signed him.
Perfect type for us

Happy either way with Richy to be honest - he did naff all this season except moan.
If a bid of 60m+ came in I'd take it
-
The more I search for managers available and with recent experience its Christopher Galtier who appeals, followed by Ralph Ragnick

You dismiss other candidates based on who they could attract but then suggest Ferguson as your preferred choice who would attract absolutely no one.
Although maybe that's what we need - players to sign for Everton because it's Everton, not who the manager is. Our recent history has shown that we get better performances from players who have either been lower in the league than us or have been bombed out by other teams. Moyes was good in this department (I'm not for reappointment Moyes though - that ship has sailed). We need players who will play for the club to improve them too

I really don’t understand anyone wanting Dunc as the manager. Yeah it was fun while it lasted, but I just don’t see it. I’m sure he’s learned a bit in the last 12 months, but if that’s the case go and find another job, earn your stripes and then come back. We need stability at the club, and for that we need some level of managerial experience. I love the guy, and I’d like to keep loving him, but put him in the hot seat and I see nothing but failure and I’d hate that for him. Being a passionate blue makes him as qualified as any of us. .
He's been there and seen all these so called top Managers fail miserably, who can blame him for wanting to have a go himself. He might not do very well but the others haven't done very well either.
He needs to stay amongst the backroom team for some stability. He might not be Ast. though- depending on the new manager coming in

nobody really sticks out as a realistic standout candidate.
Dust settled a bit, and I feel massively betrayed by Ancelotti - I am now glad he's gone as on Tuesday he showed his true colours and is one of those people who are just full of shit, but actually think's they have integrity. I read his book, it's full of stuff about honesty, integrity, trust, commitment, proffesionalisum. The very moment his integrity and commitment was tested he was out of the door, and to a club that are the ringleaders of the European super league. I bought in to his bullshit, but I have totally lost every bit of respect I had for him (which was a lot). He sold us a fucking lie and has done a fair bit of damage to the club - I wonder what all the player must be thinking now he has jumped ship as soon as he got the chance. What must they think of the Everton project now!!
Turned out his football was pretty shit as well!!!!
So true, my thoughts in a nutshell too

Gone out to play golf and come back to no manager. I’ll read the Carlo thread when I get in but first thoughts are that I’m angry, surprised and disappointed. Constantly a rebuilding project. Let’s hope whoever we get doesn’t give Siggy another chance.
Disappointment for me...hes talked a lot of shit in his time with us looking back

Ragnick, Flores, Benitez, Bilic, Favre...
All random meaning it could be anyone

Sadly think it's happening...this guy is not often wrong.
Quick for Carlo to bolt if true - we either have major issues he can't sort, hands tied or there is imply no money for transfers (not quick fix ones maybe)

Burnley look to have done some good business. I'd have been all over Conor Roberts as RB for 2.5m
