Joined the Pickford bus.... His saves were crucial to getting that result. Not sure how we would have responded to them taking the lead first.

If there was a Professor Carlo option I would have selected that though! Top choices to play all 3 new boys and formation change.

Spurs very poor and very defensively set - I did wonder if we had swapped kits with them before kick-off

Doucoure and James have been great, Richarlison hit and miss but he is slacking defensively, DCL largely uninvolved. Keane and Mina doing well together but despite all this its between Seamus and Pickford for motm. If it wasnt for them we would be losing.

Reports going around that Allan has not agreed contract with us yet and is holding out for an extra £1m in wages - hopefully crap. Perhaps hes not in a rush to get to the UK yet

So if our CM position is sorted by Allan / James / Doucoure signings (really going to get all 3?). What's next? - I think we still need an attacking RW and  LB for cover as a minimum.  Based on this - we still need to shift a load of players out too

Hope he can stay in the senior squad to avoid us needing another backup RB - think another Sidibe type player/deal will be struck for a LB. Picking someone up like a Milner would be good, experienced player who knows that they will not be a starter (not sure who is out there)

Agreed, makes no sense loaning him back to be sat on their bench or allow him to be on loan for a couple of seasons with a fixed price selling price based in today's market. We aren't going to sell him now for a loss either.

Our pre-season is a bit of a non existence! We are going to start so slowly again this coming season. Spurs have already had 3 friendlies played

I do like the look of him and is looking an improvement on what we have but I do think we need a hard man in CM if we are getting in James too.
