  1. I enjoyed a tackle in my playing days. Liked to go in hard but fair but I could go a bit naughty if the other player was throwing bad ones round. For me it's this:- Charlie Adam. The man is vile, a slow, jealous bully who needs to realise what he is doing to other players livelihoods. Hate him with a passion. Maybe he needs a bit of pay back.
  2. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2014/12/28/7447382/newcastle-wary-of-lukaku-the-beast-steven-taylor?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter It seems Taylor has been doing his player research on the grand old team forum. I'd play kone, let lukaku sulk for 70 minutes and then make an impact.
  3. Naismith? It's hardly a purple patch, he's been our best option up front for the last year. Goals per minutes since January he is best goal scorer. Problem is the other players you mention we would get little money for. If we could get £20m back for lukaku then use that money to strengthen with new keeper, winger, and a cheaper striker who gives a 1 in 3 return but offers more in our style of play.
  4. Steve McLaren would give an hilarious press conference. Instead of "for sure" it would be "is right mate"
  5. Only 28. I liked him at Spurs. Not a bad option as can play right back.
  6. Only just read it now! Had a crazy couple of days. I agree with your pissed up sentiments Mike. Quality people doing a tough job. Underpaid and understaffed. I will say that unfortunately this isn't the case across the board, you get some lazy sods who need to assess why they are doing that role. By and large they are Quality, some do let the others down though.
  7. 1. Lukaku 2. Barry 3. Baines 4. Coleman
  8. The biggest crime in football for me are people who shortchange the fans. Be it a player who won't work for the team, a chairman who runs the club shite, a manager who won't see the error of his ways. The biggest thing that compounds all this is when they come out with shit and insult the intelligence of the fans. That for me pisses me off. Don't tell us something is good when it's shit. Martinez is on thin ice with me. Loved him to start with, but when he uses positivity as a means of rejecting any criticism that may come his way then he can start packing his bags.

Bojan, great player on footy manager 2009. He's had an expectation around him for some time. He has been around for years yet he's only 24. They have made a quality signing there. Movement is what it is about, not runs. using brains to confuse the defenders and find a space for a player to pass into. It's not running in a straight line and pointing, that's simple. Feints, moving off the defender and getting a run on them. Suarez is an absolute master at it. One of the best I've seen.
  10. Predictive text. Actually sherry is sheedy I think....
  11. Wife has to pay £3 before even stepping foot in the door, without fuel. Has to pay to park at the hospital she works at and at times has been late due to no parking spaces and the fact that if she just parked anywhere would get a ticket. Late not because she was late, she's always there well before shift but because of the shit set up that means patients suffer. Nursing is a vocation, my wife didn't base her career choice on pay. These bastards in government know that nursing is price inelastic. They don't strike and there will always be people who have that special quality that means they want to nurse.
  12. Ahhhhh now he uses his scapegoat.... Wondering when that was gonna happen. Give himself a January transfer option. Balotelli has done nowt much wrong. He hasn't played enough.
  13. Give him the next week with me. He will be a good stone heavier. Get him on the squats and milk regime. Guaranteed.
  14. My wife works in alder hey, been there over 10 years now. She loves being a nurse but has had some pretty tough times where she felt like quitting due to being heart broken. I'm quite friendly with a lot of the staff, all amazing people. The politicians need to spend a few hours there and then "evaluate" their pay against the nurses.. makes me angry.
  15. I like him playing deeper as he has options, he can get a run on the defenders. But yes, it's about decision making.
  16. I think the young pros get approx £2k a week. Which is fair enough, they could get a horror tackle and be finished.
  17. All the best everyone, and that means everyone. We are all armchair managers who have big opinions and thats what makes this place great. X
  18. He's the focal point because he is lone striker who can't hold the ball up. The play breaks down so often because of him. It's poor and even more poor that Roberto persists with him. Until he can trap a ball without thinking then he will never be there. Without never understanding how to use his weight and frame he will never be strong enough. Without having the heart to challenge a player he will never be brave enough. We should not be talking about him. It should be kone or eto that we are talking about. Take him out of the firing line. Under 21's and get him educated. It may do him good. You are right, a 21 year old lad shouldn't be getting this much shit, that's his managers fault. Bravo for standing up for him but in terms of performance it just ain't up to standard.
  19. He's not a scapegoat, he is a focal point for the team. He's top earner along with Barry who pisses me off. £75k a week. So are we meant to treat him as though he is like mcaleny on £2000 a week? Well supposedly so because he's only 21. If Coleman plays shite, which he has, Coleman gets shit, as does jags, barry, baines. It's just that the violins and excuses don't come out for them. It's as if some fans still think that he was too good for us and we should all be greatful for choosing to earn his £75k a week with us.
  20. John H - those are unlikely to be topped. My brother did have a picture taken with Dixie Dean, he had a penalty shoot out and Dixie was there in his wheel chair. My experiences:- Paul ince - absolute bellend. Simple as that. John ebbrell - had a few chats with him and user to chat to his dad watching the game. Absolute gent. Nice a lad as you could wish to meet. Graeme Sharp - like talking to a bloke in the pub. Honest as you like, chilled and chatty. Had a bevvie with him. Derek mountfield - good laugh, big fella, looks better now than he did in the 80's. Robbie Fowler - decent. Had a good laugh taking the pissout of graham le saux. He was gutted about the shit he got from Everton fans, said it went way too far. Denis wise - full of himself, gave him some stick though which he took. Richard gough and mendieta - had photo taken with them on beach. Gough recognised my accent, I told him I was an Everton fan "now that's a proper club" he said to mendieta. Alan Wright - quality bloke. Was at our hotel and me him and his mate were drinking rum cocktails at 12pm - he had a match later on! his wife made him switch hotels as all the other lads were being a bit naughty. Namely Mickey Gray and Matt Jansen. The few above from Denis wise was in Barbados and the ex premier legends we're staying in our hotel. So that was a cheat really. Anton Ferdinand was there and was not in a good place with the John Terry thing. His mate told me a bit about it. Mark Wright - not bad for red shite. Watched the derby in a pub standing next to him and we gave each other some stick "mikel madar" played. Had a pint and a chat afterwards and he was sound.
  21. Oh my goodness. In 20 YEARS people will still know who Borg was as a sportsman, ibrahimovic? Bollocks. The man's a tit.
  22. Does anyone know our win rate with and without McCarthy. I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be a very big difference....
