  1. The likes of Man United would be using their legal team to exploit this as a means of getting out of the contract or something.
  2. Disgusting. Its a microcosm as to why we will never be up there commercially with the others.
  3. Probably Arouna has got a really strong back to play, he is someone that can give you a real focal point and you can play high up the pitch, he’s a finisher, a clinical finisher, he has real pace and power. “He is a mixture of what Sam and Rom do each. This is what I seen in him as a player - however I would say more Naismith than Eto. He is very good at handling centre halves, he is a good athlete and is strong, I seen him destroy Heitinga and Jags with his pace and strength a couple of times. I don't think he is a clinical finisher - he can finish, but he's not near Rom in that category. Really looking forward to seeing him tonight. The lad deserves a bit of luck after his awful injury.
  4. Also we need English teams to do well to keep top 4 as qualifiers.
  5. Dempsey who spat his dummy out at Fulham and went on strike to force a move...
  6. £15m+ and its not a bad bit of business - yes he is very good, dynamic and direct but he doesn't half get injured alot,
  7. Big Nev never really became first choice keeper till 25-26. You get about 10 peak years from a keeper if lucky.
  8. Last night was Gerrard all over - flattered to deceive for much of the game but almost grabbed the headlines with a great free kick. He is very "Roy of the Rovers". I'm glad he never got a second - imagine it... holding his ears to the crowd as if to say "you think i'm finished". The reality is Steven - that you are a shadow of your former self. He is a major headline grabber and in many ways is probably holding that team back now. I'm just glad that Rodgers was stupid with his money and didn't go and buy Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa.
  9. Got to say Goalkeepers are such a tough one to get right, Always tends to be a case of a promising keeper has to sit in the wings watching an experienced campaigner until they lose their reflexes and they get a chance - but usually they get a few years of being an understudy - need games and then go to a smaller club and prove themselves. Did we not put a buy back clause or "sell on" in this case? Stupid not to. From what i've seen of the lad I like him, big and commands his area.
  10. I had my eye gouged playing in ellesmere port, painful. That markovic could easily have caught him. Moreno challenge them was shocking. He's shit
  11. The Lisbon Lions The Invincibles The Busby Babes Fergies Fledglings Tonight "Brendans Beasts of Basel" take centre stage and have a chance of joing the names above...
  12. Villas Boas was a victim of players being opposed to change - I actually think he's a decent manager in the making.
  13. I'd like to see mcaleny and kone up front. Browning, Garbutt, Ledson get a start, play Barkley with them too. See if they can teach our first teamers something.
  14. Try before buy, smart signing in a way. No risk. Let's be honest, a few were a little excited when we got him in.
  15. I'm still chuckling at the use of the word "length", it's up there with "helmet" as impressive phallic descriptions that are used in normal chit chat. Turns me into finbar Saunders. When Hamilton won the world championship Nicole kissed Lewis right on the helmet whilst everyone applauded. I seen that posted, made me laugh.
  16. On the train to Liverpool for a bit of Christmas shopping and people are probably wondering what I'm sat laughing at my phone. Cheers for that lads, so many funny posts there. Beats reading metro any day!!!
  17. It's called "tangible" evidence.... The reason for having an opinion.
  18. No you call out forum posters with an excitable semi-on mid match like some 10 year old kid who got a question right on blockbusters. Do I say "hey Matt, look Rom just shinned it to an opponent - he's great isn't he"....,no I've got respect for my fellow members. It's not about beating someone down and holding them to their words. We all want the best for our club.
  19. To be honest they have nailed it. Mine was due care and attention. Reality is I was lane hopping around a traffic jam and a young clean shaven chap in an unmarked BMW decided "you would fail your driving test for that " warranted a ticket. I have taken it as a positive "wake up call". You develop horrible habits behind a wheel. The course was more a psychology lesson, not what you do wrong or what you should do right. More "this is why you behave like a knob head - know the triggers and address them" Pretty good.
  20. Been on a driver improvement course today and had too much coffee. To be honest best £75 fine I've spent. Quite humbling experience really. You spend so many years convincing yourself that the wrong things you do are right. Back to Davie moyes.......
  21. He didn't compare them, that's the point. Stop being a knob! I may be a knob when it comes to things like Lukaku, moyes, kenwright. People I see as a subject relevant to the performance of our club.... You pick individuals out on a forum that you want to have a spat with. Even mid matches you do it with mirallas, McGeady, McCarthy, Barry or whoever you attach a poster as being someone who differs with you. Your post on this occassion wasn't even accurate, he was stating the need not to compare. Seriously....
  22. In fact yeah, all this Twitter bollocks with videos etc etc, get a grip. We dont want prefects walking round finch farm like under moyes but when we ain't performing I don't wanna see the afro/Belgian clique filming shite. Get serious Roberto, too much shite going on.
  23. Grabbed a couple on black Friday. In the middle of fight night champions. Enjoyable at £3
  24. Moyes took us down to 17th after promising so much and spent many more years dining out on above average finishes. I'll hold this season this far down to Roberto not knowing all the answers just yet. But he better learn and fast. He also better show a far more readily acceptance to change when his "philosophy" isn't reaping rewards. I'm fuckin furious with him and for anyone who thinks I'm Mr "always right" - I never seen this with RM. He's made a complete balls up of this season and proved me wrong. Call me mad but we need a complete grenade launching in that dressing room. he has got to start tearing players apart.
