  1. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/barkley-zaha-and-januzaj-show-jury-still-out-moyess-use-youth I actually think this is a very good and well evidenced article...
  2. I guess if we can establish that Kenwynne is better than Vic then its not so bad.
  3. I would love to write a script for a footballing "spitting image" - how hilarious would that be...
  4. He's already on £50k+ a week, an extra £25k will be covered by Heitinga coming off the payroll (he's on £60k I believe)... I'm comfortable with this. As Mike said, a great statement of intent that sends out a message top the likes of united that prized assets can be retained by Everton. We have moved at exactly the right time, securing key talent on top wages just before the likes of West Ham, Norwich start paying average players £60k a week.
  5. wait there he's more than that, he has a clip board, looks serious and does Steve Round impressions... he probably still leads the jogging and stretching too.... PIP taking the warm down:- "eh lads!!!! come on!!! never mind laughing get focussed, get them quads stretched..." fires a serious stern look over at Zaha who despite scoring 5 goals in training wasn't quite risking overstetching and injuring himself. Phil duly notes this on his training notes.... DM watching on with Steve Round with their hands resting on chins looking pensive:- "I tell ya Stevie, this lad reminds me of myself... he will go on to do great things in this game" Steve Round nodding:- "Can I have a new bluetooth ear piece boss?, Sam allardyce has got one"
  6. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2539315/Mourinhos-inside-information-tells-United-not-happy-current-position.html LOL.... he's a little tinker ain't he... Pure mind games which will prompt the thoughts Is it mind games or has Rooney's agent been up to no good... Is he in dialogue with Fergie Is he patronising united Either way it's genius psychology.
  7. Mate did work on his house, he had a giant everton crest outside it, I didn't believe it till pictures came out... Love it.
  8. For me this signing would just send out the wrong signals. Progression in our style and results should be supplemented with players that can further this... not bringing in a player that would need to step up to match our current levels. Given Moyes penknives to gunfights analogy, bringing Jones in as back up for Lukaku is like buying a knuckleduster in case you run out of bullets... because its cheap and in the right circumstances an effective weapon doesn't make it a suitable replacement. I'm very indifferent to this rumour, as cheap as he is we need to use our raised profile to make a statement of intent.
  9. http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-mcgeady-defenders-worst-nightmare-6508731 If Ball didn't like facing him then that says alot, Ball was a tremendous defender when not injured.
  10. Certainly has plenty of talent, but too close to home for him, Fergie couldn't control him and had to get him away to save his career. He couldn't come back to the north west.
  11. Yeah seen his dad at the devon doorway posing like he was a 20 year old a summer or so ago, sat with some blokes with a chilling bottle of wine in front of him, spent half his time on the mobile ignoring his eager to please mates. My Mrs doesn't really know footballer but asked "WHO IS HE..." a look of confusion as to why some bloke in his late 40's was prancing around in draw string pants trying to get as much attention as possible... I really couldn't be bothered explaining as I have no time for Ince whatsoever. His lad looks pretty much as arrogant as he is, I wonder if he's given himself a title like "Guvnor"...
  12. Martinez sees no value in the January market, the money out will be some way off Lukaku's loan fee works out about £5m I believe. I think we have about £12m remaning.
  13. Gerry D as an attacking mid when he returns?
  14. Just had a chat with my mate who is a big Stoke fan (yes I know.... Hafnia and his ever growing list of other club contacts) He actually said he is a "superb" player on his day, can be very effective, he just has a lazy attiitude and needs someone to get the best out of him. He rates him far better than Crouch if that stands for anything....
  15. My trust for Martinez says that this ain't gonna happen.
  16. Signed new contract apparently, all over twitter...more good news
  17. I just pro rated our point increase of 5 over the same number of games last season and factored in the favourable run in... I actually estimate 75 points will be our finishing total if we get the same level of results and performance from here on in. How 75 points will place us is anyones guess, I think it will be enough for 4th pushing 3rd maybe, but the top 5 are blitzing the games they nheed to win.
  18. I would sign for Milan, get a roll neck undershirt, wear gloves, grow my hair and have an alice band... it's just a cool club. I still look back at that team from the early 90's as one of the best, gullit, van basten. baresi, maldini... ace.
  19. I love a defender who looks assured on the ball, he's our Daniel Agger (injuries to boot!)
  20. To pat myself on the back I looked at Wigans defensive record with and without him - it was night and day difference. I was confident he would enable us to sell Heitinga,
  21. This is the beauty of what we are seeing at Old Trafford... lets see how cocky and arrogant they are at getting the worlds best when they are trying to get into europe by fair play awards. I would truly love to see United fail to achieve top 4 and watch their targets go to their rivals. Just watching the likes of Mourinho picking at the likes of Rooney and infuriating their fans with comments like "Chelsea are bigger than Man United right now, we are in the champions league, Wayne Rooney should be playing champions league" - ahh would love it.
  22. Worst? quite difficult to guage, Overrated? Ok i'll have a pop. Cleverley Smalling Johnny Evans Kevin Nolan Ryan Shawcross Frank Lampard - yep he's good but not the player he is made out to be. Joe Allen - a £3m player dressed up as a £15m one
