  1. You a big Rugby fan? How embarrassing for Wales today losing to the Chiefs - a club team in New Zealand. Granted it was our second team but they were still deemed good enough to tour New Zealand and were absolutely thrashed by 33 points.
  2. Sorry for the late reply Mike, I've been like a zombie since coming home and I'm shattered. Bordeaux was a really nice city I must admit. The people there were very welcoming and it was really nice to see Welsh, Slovakian and French people mixing and having a good time. There was a great moment on Saturday in one of the side streets alleyway where you had Welsh fans singing our anthem before the French replying with theirs and everyone joining in. It's what a tournament like this should be all be about I think - mixing with other nations and just enjoying watching your country play. Unfortunately, every country had idiots and they tend to steal all the headlines naturally. Ha, thanks for the offer... next time!! To be honest with you apart from the 4 mile walk back from the stadium on match day I barely saw much of the sights as I was either too excited to notice or pissed!!
  3. I like the names on here. Talk to me about Stephane Ruffier... Is he the French keeper? Don't know too much about him if I'm honest. I'm really looking forward to seeing who we sign as a GK. The last few years we've really lacked a quality keeper and I can't wait to see a new face between the sticks.
  4. Went to quite a few. The Sweeny Todd was good. Plus the ones near the river at the front. Bit expensive there but all worth it just to see that game. The atmosphere was incredible in the stadium (don't know how it sounded on tv) and I'm so happy we got the win. Dare I say we should qualify from the group now. Bring on the showdown on Thursday.
  5. In a bar in Bordeaux. We are top of the league!!!
  6. For 50 million I'm sure we could get Batshuayi or Lacazette as out main striker, Breel Embolo as a back up and even Pelle/Long as third striker.
  7. Would have released him personally. This means that we'll have the same central midfielders as last season (Can't see Barry, Besic or McCarthy leaving) which is a bit boring. We need something different in there as the ones we have are all fairly similar
  8. Hope we smash England and they go out in the group stages. There. I said it. Same applies to Northern Ireland who I find worse than England at times with their Union Jacks and God Save the queen. I hope Welsh and English fans behave themselves though. Only takes a few idiots to kick things off and in the smallest city of the tournament they're gonna be everywhere. I hope the police are on the ball or it could get very ugly which would be a massive shame.
  9. Ha! Hilarious thread because you do get an image in your head when you read that person's post and the chances are you're a million miles away from what they actually look like. I never had Mark J with a beard and long hair, never saw that one.
  10. Hope so. I just think if it was De Boer, Moyes or Pellegrini it would have been sorted by now. Emery and Koeman are still the main targets I think.
  11. Sorry I might have missed one of your previous posts. Does he know who will be announced or only that there will be an announcement tomorrow?
  12. Can't wait for the Euros. Got my ticket for the Wales vs Slovakia game.
  13. Last year I would have wanted Ospina but I don't think I would now. No to John Ruddy as well. I want a top quality goalkeeper next season. Preferably German.
  14. It would just kill any excitement we as fans had for the forthcoming season. Moyes had 10 years here ffs, it's not like he has unfinished business here. He was stale after about 8 years let alone starting his second bloody stint here. We'll be an absolute laughing stock if this happens. My mates who are Utd and Liverpool fans were always taking the piss when I wanted Martinez out saying that the only one we'd replace Martinez with is Moyes. It would be am embarrassing appointment and yet again show the lack of ambition we have. In an analogy terms, imagine going out with a girl for 10 years. You haven't got much money but nevertheless she's a solid girl who never lets you down and you think you've done very well for yourself. Yeah, she might be Scottish and ginger but she's a nice girl. After 9-10 years you and her have reached as far as you can in the relationship so you both end it on friendly terms. There's no ill feeling and you both move on. Meanwhile, you start to look for a new girl and stumble upon this Spanish girl dancing to Jason Derulo in a night club. You get chatting and she promises you that she'll take you places your previous girlfriend never could. You believe her. You start a relationship and it's absolutely mind-blowing for the first year - she's very polite with your parents and friends and very exciting in the bedroom! She actually is taking you to another world. A world you didn't think was possible so you start thinking that your previous Scottish girlfriend was actually not that good and she was in fact holding you back. However, things are not what they seem. The Spanish girl starts coming home late and comes up with excuse after excuse and you get tired of her bullshitting. The sex starts getting boring. Very one dimensional, the same position time after time and you get bored. She's a very stubborn one. It turns nasty. This Spanish girl and you start to drift apart. You didn't sign up for this. She was not the girl she made herself out to be. She could talk but didn't back it up. You end it on a sour note. Bye bye Spanish girl. You win the lottery. It's fantastic. You think to yourself 'right now that I've got money surely all the girls will want a bit of me. I'm a great catch.' You make a list of girls you thought were completely out of your league back in the day. You're confident all of a sudden. This is a new you. However, at the bottom of your list you scribble that Scottish girl you were once with for 10 years. More to be polite than anything else. Unfortunately, a few of the girls on your list start ruling themselves out saying they're committed to their current boyfriend. A Dutch woman seems keen on you. Very keen in fact. So keen her brother has been calling you trying to convince you that she's the one for you. You're not convinced. There's another Spanish girl on the list, but she's a bit older. Is she too old for you? Well she was pretty hot back in the day so maybe she could be a good catch for a few years or so? Again, you're unsure as she's known to be a bit of a gold-digger and has been known to spend money on stupid things. You start crossing names out one by one until you finally reach the bottom of your list and notice the name of your previous Scottish girlfriend. You think for a moment. Then, after some deep thinking, you aggressively cross her name out with a permanent marker and think to yourself 'I'm better than her'. She even disrespected you when she went with her new bloke. He finished with her. She moved to Spain and again found another bloke. As if she could get a tan, she was ginger. It was never going to work. He also finished with her. Then she flew back to the UK and now she wants more of you cause she's heard you've got some money. But you won't be fooled.... I hope. The moral of that story is there's plenty more fish in the sea (I think). There's more girls in the world than the Scottish and Spanish ones you used to be with. Be ambitious. There's some pretty good looking girls out there. Be brave, take a risk. You're a good catch now and the ball's in your court. Don't make a balls up with your decision!!
  15. Good keeper? Yes. For 40 million? No way. Shouldn't have to pay that much for a keeper. I just hope one of our scouting team has been in the Bundesliga looking at keepers cause there's some quality young keepers there. Liverpool have had a massive steal in signing Karius for £4.7 million and he's only 22. Same potential as Hart when Hart was younger so there's no way I'd pay £40 million for Hart when there are much cheaper options out there. Timo Horn is available and shouldn't be too expensive (around 6-10 million) and he's another young German keeper who has huge potential. The English market is a rip off.
  16. I wish he would be employed by someone as the more he's out of a job I'm petrified that he'll be approached by us. I know he's down the list but I bet Kenwright has mentioned him to Moshiri and probably tried everything to convince him that he's the man. Villa would have been perfect for him.
  17. There's quality players for fairly cheap in Germany. Klopp will be all over them unfortunately.
  18. Karius joining Liverpool from Mainz. Bit gutted really as I wanted us to go for him. He's 22 but has big potential. I'll be very interested to see how he does at Liverpool. I'd like us to go for Timo Horn at Cologne. Very similar to Karius. Both are regarded as excellent young goalkeepers.
  19. Ha!! I forgot to add that I am not a member on that forum, I read it on Twitter. Maybe you could offer me a new long term deal to stop any rumours about me going to other forums?
  20. Exciting times to be an Evertonian Matt. Good things ahead I feel!
  21. Usmanov and Moshiri have been business partners for years and always work together. They both had a vision to transform Arsenal but unfortunately neither could get on the Arsenal board. David Kroenke, the Arsenal chairman, is not a 'football' man and lives in America whilst stubbornly denying anyone the chance to join the board and mix things up. Kroenke is a Wenger fan as well which has infuriated many Arsenal supporters as they know that Wenger will always be manager if Kroenke's in charge and judging by the things I've read, he's not going anywhere soon. In terms of what Usmanov could offer us, if you think Moshiri's wealth is impressive at 1.94 billion then Usmanov is worth nearly 14 billion (more than Abramovich). I think people have been putting two and two together before last night (more hope than expectation) in thinking he'd join us with Moshiri but last night one of the most trusted ITK on an Everton forum (everything he has callled before has come true) posted that's he's a million percent sure that Usmanov will be in full control of Everton by christmas. It would make sense seeing that Moshiri's already here, it's a matter of time before Kenwright and Woods will be bought out and the frustration of not being able to have any influence at Arsenal. Having him here would just be another huge game changer in getting us back to where we belong.
  22. Whilst we're on the takeaway subject I had a chinese tonight as the Girlfriend is out with work. I had a Special curry with fried rice and chips. They chucked in free prawn crackers as well. Putting rice, a few chips and curry sauce on a prawn cracker and hearing the sizzling sound it makes.... Unbelievable.
