  5. I personally think BK has played a blinder this summer Appointing Martinez as manager, getting £6M for Vic and £27.5M for Felli , telling Man Utd to do one over Baines, bringing in the likes of Roubles, Del Boy, McArthy and Lukaku and above all else Im fairly sure in my drunken haze that even Haf complimented him on a couple of occasions tonight!
  6. BBC's Phil McNulty: "Another twist in the future of Chelsea's Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. I'm told that if he leaves Chelsea don't look any further than Everton..."
  7. 2 minutes ago juliette_grace Truth in Romelu Lukaku #EFC rumour tonight. Lol Or is it???
  8. 5 minutes ago bbc5live Marouane Fellaini is at #EFC's training ground @juliette_grace confirms. Live: http://bbc.in/1bQYYMG #TransferDeadlineDay #DeadlineDay
  9. ✔ @philmcnulty Told there is a "strong possibility" of Victor Anichebe joining WBA tonight. Everton needed another striker even before that potential deal.
  10. The Echo are saying it was £15M Also just put up this on their blog Leighton Baines has joined up with the England squad at St George's Park. The chances he will be making the move to Old Trafford now look more remote than ever after Everton owner Bill Kenwright made clear he wasn't interested in any more offers for the left-back. It would take a considerably larger fee from anything Manchester United have offered before to prise him away from Goodison and at this stage that looks unlikely to happen.
  11. Roberto Martinez had hoped to be reunited with the Republic of Ireland international he brought to the Premier League in 2009, as a replacement for Manchester United bound Marouane Fellaini. But negotiations between the Blues and Wigan chairman Dave Whelan are believed to have reached an impasse, with the Latics owner insisting he won’t budge on his £15m valuation for the player. The ECHO understands that has prompted Everton to switch their focus elsewhere, with a move for Porto midfielder Fernando also being considered but not yet a done deal. The Brazilian would require a work permit, which would have to be agreed before tonight’s 11pm deadline. While Martinez has not completely given up on McCarthy, it would require a significant u-turn from Wigan to revive a transfer which has been mooted all summer. So looks like it is indeed over the valuation

  13. Phil McNulty, BBC Sport "Marouane Fellaini's move from Everton to Manchester United is one of the big deals expected to go through today. Talks are still ongoing and reliable sources in Belgium are suggesting the giant midfield man will start pushing very hard for this deal to go through if negotiations get a little too close to deadline for his liking. "The other half of United's proposed move on Everton is England defender Leighton Baines. The word on Merseyside last night was that the chances of this deal also being completed are receding. Everton simply do not want to countenance selling Baines
  14. That he will have another new team mate at Man Utd probably!
  15. Lol I thought someone had started a new thread for you to do all your Bill bashing in instead of clogging up all the other threads?

  17. I think its totally ridiculous to be getting on his back after just 3 games, he is trying to completely change the way in which we play and so its not going to happen overnight. Under Moyse we usually played at a much higher tempo, but to say we played "hoof ball" is total bollocks IMO, and we always looked a poor side when we didn't have that zest about us. RM now has us playing at a much slower, more methodical, pace and so its going to take time to adjust. I also think Gibson is a big miss for us at the moment because I think this new style would really suit him For me the main problem at the moment though is the same one its always been, we just don't have that quality striker who could get us the goals to turn draws into wins. While I never really rated Kone at Wigan and I do think we have paid over the odds for him I think he needs to be given a chance to get his fitness levels back up and to have a bit of time to bed in, then who knows he may just make a difference I think we will be in for mid table mediocrity this season and then we will hopefully kick on next season when he has had time to get his own players in and stamp his own style on the side.
  18. This I still wouldn't trust him in a deeper role just yet
