  1. Good source for EFC news. Also says we want Hwang from Wolves which I’m indifferent over!
  2. Yes, mainstay since he’s been there but only had 12months on his contract which is why I expect they’ve let him go. As for other striking options - obviously Welbeck, then they’ve had Undav from their chairman’s other club in Germany and a very young South American lad - to be fair they’ve done well in this market. Andone is someone they’re trying to get rid of. I do wonder if Brighton will be in for another striker - they identified Nunez last summer for much less than what was paid this summer.
  3. Could be lost in translation and mean £25m plus Gallagher then Broja on loan… £25m plus both though is ridiculous.
  4. I will also add that this could easily be his agent touting him about to a better league to try to force a move/get a bite - I expect there will be loads of these ‘non-story’ links for every club before Wednesday.
  5. Lovely left foot - set piece specialist - very creative BUT you’ve got to question his motivation (or maybe ill advised) over the move to Saudi when there was interest in him from clubs in much more competitive leagues.
  6. Don’t base reliable information on what you’ve read on a forum - just read some of the tripe spouted on here!!! Maupay has missed 10 league games for Brighton in the 3 seasons he’s been there - he’s in the final year of a contract he clearly wasn’t going to sign for whatever reason. Maybe he wasn’t going to be first choice this season - who knows? But, on the basis that he’s been a mainstay for the past 3 seasons, I doubt he’s slipped that far down the pecking order.
  7. Yep and none of that has anything to do with work-rate which is the only point I picked up on in the first place.
  8. That’s what happens when you don’t have the depth in the squad to play players in their correct positions. Gordon is not, and will never be, a suitable striker in this system.
  9. I’m not talking about what position he’s been played - having watched him last season and the difficult begging to this; where all of a sudden he’s not just some local lad who’s made it and now a £60m wonderkid, the one thing that can not be questioned is the lad’s work rate.
  10. Really?!?! I really don’t understand this comment. I’d say his work rate is his best quality and something he needs to learn how to ‘manage’ as he burns himself out due to being on full throttle from the off. End product is my biggest criticism.
  11. Forest supposedly want him and he’s historically been a target for Leicester who will be in the market for centre back with Fofana going.
  12. Fofana to Chelsea Keane to Leicester I’ve got a sneaky feeling that we’d go for Chalobah if Leicester have Keane off us.
  13. They didn’t ask me before taking it… bloody scavenging seagulls!!!
  14. Forest have made a loan offer supposedly. Loan with obligation if they stay up would be okay. It’d mean most of us would have Forest as a 2nd club until they reach the magic 40point mark though!
  15. If registered before midday. We may not know if he was/wasn’t registered straight away.
  16. He will 100% be a cult hero here as he is a master of the dark arts - he’ll get in the opposition’s faces and wind them up - from experience that really gets Goodison going. Yes, he’ll need to score a few but his effort and general shithousery will endear him to the fans.
  17. Diaz often plays wide for Blackburn. We need a range of attacking options as currently we have not a lot!
  18. Maupay and we still need another striker which looks like Brereton-Diaz before we sell Gordon. If we sell Gordon, he’d need replacing too. We need multiple attacking options - yes we all want a marquee like Newcastle, West Ham or whoever but they already have attacking options and a bit of depth - we don’t so £15m each for Maupay and Brereton-Diaz makes a lot of sense to me. Calvert-Lewin is first choice but with injuries, suspensions and the 5 sub rule, all 3 will get plenty of time and hopefully plenty of goals!
  19. What I do see as a positive is our not fit for purpose midfield from the last few seasons seems to be disappearing… Siggurdsson - gone Delph - gone Dele - gone Gbamin - going Gomes/Allan - clearly available I can see why we’re targeting Gueye, Kudus and Garner (maybe Gallagher/Gilmour too) - I think we need all 3 (or alike) and I don’t think we’ll miss any of the outgoing midfielders.
  20. 100% but we’ve known this probably since Richarlison left - it was good news 6 weeks ago. It’s a little frustrating now.
  21. Not a lot to get excited about as it stands.
