  1. Strive to reclaim? They haven't even bothered to learn the language fully. They're still allowed to have Cornish vows, just they have to say them in English too. Hardly worth kicking up a stink about when both have English names and English is their first language. Why would you want them to reduce your culture to no more than a gimmick for their wedding? Your view on culture seems very segregational, and especially condescending with the English people wouldn't understand comment. Said it before, I'm not English, I'm British or European or Earthling before I'd put myself in such a box. Being from Liverpool we're a mix of all the Kingdom, don't think I know a single soul who wants to eradicate our current culture and reclaim the Lancashire twang.
  2. Is it really respecting the culture if they aren't even fluent in it? If anything they're using it as a gimmick to for their wedding to be talked about.
  3. The couple have learned a "good fair bit" of the language as it was "really important to our culture and our heritage," Ms Norman said. "We just really wanted an authentic Cornish wedding and part of that would be incorporating the language. "So we can a little bit, but not fully," she added. I'd have more sympathy if they could even speak the language themselves.

  5. 1 point in 8 games. Last team they beat was the shite. Hopefully that's not a curse passed on.
  6. But Brexit meant less red tape and cheaper goods...
  7. I'm really just not feeling it . I was all for the lattice pattern to be incorporated but it looks up just be impeding the viewing window at 0:37. Stadium as a whole looks like a box with a shiny tin roof. For all the efforts they've put in it seems a little underwhelming.
  8. After watching this I felt the stadium is the wrong way round, that goal-end facing the river would look better. Also fan dispersal will be a nightmare with a big stand all having to come right round the stadium. Not blown away by the stadium either. Got the main thing right though, stands look intimate to the pitch which is the main thing I'd want from the new stadium.
  9. Looking at the league he's got 4 goals (2 from the spot) and 2 assists. Hardly a great contribution. That said his stats aren't the main issue for me. It's what he contributes to the team as a whole. The team play slower when he's on the pitch as he doesn't make himself available for the ball by getting in the right pockets of space or help the player on the ball by dragging players to make a passing lane, and when the ball does come to him his first instincts are to go backwards. Nothing more frustrating than watching a good chance go missing when he gets the ball on the edge of the box and swivels away from goal. Defensively he tries but he's just not good enough in his positioning. He can't read the game good enough being reactive to the play, that goes offensively as well. It kills our attacks.
  10. I can only think of three chances they had with the tame Mane header that would never go in. Salah but he never had the space or angle. With their best chance being a volley from outside the box, how often do they go in once a season maybe? We weren't clinical, the chances were much more clear cut. We had the better chances and looked more likely to score on the counter than they did at breaking us down. More so when DCL came on.
  11. Ancelotti is doing a cracking job but I'd not credit him for their development. The year before Marco Silva came to the club, Davies and Barry were our best midfield duo, and DCL was our best striker. Silva didn't try and develop any youngsters. Yet fans gave him a good rimming purely because he's not fat Sam, put trust in his decisions and turned on our young players. Ferguson put his trust in them before Ancelotti come in. Even fat Sam did. Koeman too. Main thing Ancelotti has done for Dom is tell him to stay around the six yard box, hardly rocket science. For Davies, he's done the same as the previous managers only bringing him in through injury. First 13 games this season he only played once, Brighton game that Allan missed through injury. Then only came into the fold properly following Allan's injury. Although it does look like Ancelotti has got the balls to keep him in rather than drop him for a senior player. Davies positioning and passing have always been top notch, his main issue has been the players next to him. He looked like he had the world at his feet next to Barry, and is now shining next to Doucoure.
  12. That's even worse then as it was a clear red according to the rules.
  13. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/33694/12225525/ref-watch-trent-red-at-anfield-no-blades-penalty?fbclid=IwAR0MHAiFSS_CXe0zI4P6a2vdTZfHuR5deuavdfWaeBxByooOsDgktxKaNi8 How was var even checking if that was a pen. It was stonewall.
  14. What did he do that you'd not expect from any centre half? I can only think of one moment, were the ball bounced off him but he recovered to block Mane.
  15. Three points we dropped to them looks massive now but he tends to run teams into the ground. Wouldn't be surprised if they drop off towards the end.
  16. Liverpool fans today: More possession, more shots, played better football, the ref, the wind, blah blah blah, the centre backs. Not just for conceding but apparently they're not scoring because of the centre backs Not one has blamed the manager or the favourites. TAA was a clear pen, and the best chance they had was a volley from outside the box, looked good but they only go in about 1/50. Maybe if they're players stayed on their feet they'd have made a better chance.
