  1. Spot on. I don't remember the Coleman one either, although he does go down to easily and i've moaned about that before. Apart from Jags dive the only other one I can remember is Jo. If there was a league table of divers and cheats am sure we would be bottom.
  2. Jus realised how much I miss my PC or more specifically Half Life 2 and Counter strike
  3. Karaoke at best, couldn't hold a note next to a proper singer like Mariah Carey or Christina Aguliera that she was being compared to in the show. Soon as it finished she was sexed up and swiftly moved in to shitty pop
  4. Should drop them all for the cup match and let the reserves show them how it's done.
  5. Downing had his best season in the middle(with Young and Milner on the wings) for Villa and is wasted on the wing, so is a very fair comparison to Vaughan. Even the owner admits he's overpaid for players http://www.guardian....y?newsfeed=true
  6. They don't want to share tv money with the team their sharing a pitch with for 90 minutes. There wouldn't be a match to play without the rest of the teams. Fuck them selfish bastards if they want all the money they can play against their reserves every week and do a world tour. Money grabbing cunts! Worst than the spoilt kid who gets presents on other peoples b'days because they're crying cunts to keep them happy. Rant over.
  7. Suarez opinion has nothing to do with Rodwell I had long made my mind up on him. Got family in Holland, so knew of Suarez before most kopites, who then jumped on the band wagon of his stats and then told me all about this amazing striker who scores one in two and is the best player in the league(most had never heard of him nevermind watched him). Wasting millions is not my opinion if judging value by the statistical method said to be used, in which there were better options. Either better value or better players. Charlie Adam was the main cause of the majority of goals B'pool conceded and the main reason they went down. Have a look at the old thread about him. He's really not as good as MOTD made out. Vaughan would have been the better option. Henderson... I really dont know what to say. His move shocked me and his price shocked me even more. To quote c1982 'I know Sunderland are having a bit of a poor run and some of their players maybe out of form but Rodwell looked in a different league to Henderson when he came on - Henderson didn't impress me at all.' and that was before he was linked with Liverpool so has no bitterness or bias*. Enrique was a steal but to say it was because of his stats is laughable, otherwise Baines would be playing for you. I like Downing but Liverpool got buggered in the deal compared to the other options Vaughan, Larsson and Young. Some one put a link up over the summer about the stats but I can't find the post. Edit: *Not that c1982 is bitter or bias
  8. Mostly Suarez, but Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll aren't exactly players i'd say should be at a club like Liverpool. The stats stuff in the article is bollocks as well. They said that when they first signed them and there was an article with the stats about other transfers this summer that were better on paper. Commoli is just trying to look clever to justify wasting millions.
  9. If thats true that they look at the character and personality of the player. Then I feel sorry for Liverpool fans, having employees with such low opinions of the club and it's fans with what they deem suitable players with the 'right attitude and intelligence' to play for Liverpool. I remember when Bowyer was on the verge of joining Liverpool and the fans rallied against it, now they accept the scum or even worse praise it.

  11. Nice to know that they use statistics to justify buying players and completely ignore that there bringing scum to the city. I prefer our model of actually looking at a player as a person and wether they would fit in the Everton family.
  12. 55000 should be the target for a new stadium. IMO i think we'd get 48000-52000 and the spare seats could be given/invested to local schools to help the future figures.
  13. Start writing the letters now, hopefully we've all been good boys and don't get a bit of Carlton http://dearsanta.com/
  14. The game was the season before, 0-0.
  15. The powers above playing it safe this week, giving us M. Jones to ref. I had no recollection of him reffing us before(imo the least i remember who a referee is the better, as it means they have done their job properly and haven't given me a reason to remember). Quick scan shows 3 games last season and one the season before. Villa H(ref was shit this game, however gave us our first pen of the season) and A, Spurs A and Wolves A. In the other 3 games ref was fair with the really bad thing being we should have done better result wise in all them games.

  17. Who ever wrote that must have a different definition of intangible or they are completely wrong. From wiki: Intangible assets are defined as identifiable non-monetary assets that cannot be seen, touched or physically measured, which are created through time and/or effort and that are identifiable as a separate asset The article is not relevant, but says that players are 'fixed tangible assets' http://journals.camb...line&aid=977848 http://gupea.ub.gu.s...1/03-04-107.pdf worth a look if you have any spare time. The paper basically says football accounting is a mess and everyone does it differently. At the end there is an extra 10 pages. At the bottom of the 5th theres a rough answer to how players should be regarded as assets.
  18. Thats how players are valued on the balance sheet. Their contract are liabilities. Liabilities + Capital = Assets You could argue that players are capital, but it's safer and easier to have monetary value for players determined by their contracts. Also using this logic we sold Arteta for £5 mil less than we valued him
  19. 30 mil would be the wages. Arteta going has saved us £15.6 mil alone.

  21. In a thread about Jags all you put on the topic was "jags is better than heitinga end of." To me that says he should never be dropped. Why doesn't Jags deserve to be dropped? We've been playing a midfielders upfront, but Saha's back now and Stracq and Vellios look useful. Our defense is fully fit and concedeing soft goals and the main culprit is Jags and has been for a while. I'm much less confident of keeping a clean sheet than us not doing the business the other end.
  22. Had a look through the blog Louis put up and it looks like he's not gonna be joining. http://evertonyouths.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/the-mystery-man-araz-abdullayev/
  23. I cant help but think of this vid, when I see anything about BU
