Said a few times I'd love him here
Absolutely rapid great feet and finisher but as said will likely end up at Bayern
-
Gana
The rest were predominantly shite
-
Tosun on next in the hope of something!
Absolutely fucking toothless this side of late
-
It's the first time (I know he's had his moments) where he really got on my tits for the full game
Movement passing the lot was absolutely shite yesterday

if marco wants a draw the tactics and formation are fine for now but if he wants to win he needs to take off one of the CB and put on DCL and have a go, they are not good and if we had more in attack we could score a couple.
I think we're getting the opportunities just not being clinical enough or timing runs right
I'd leave it for the next 20 mins or so then I'd actually be tempted to bring on Niasse, seems to be one of those right place at the right time games ATM and i just think "for some odd reason" he's the man to put them away
-
Don't see it being an issue tbh LB, Gomes Sigurdsson and Bernard all track back and put a shift in although I'd like Sigurdsson to stay further up
I'd be dropping Coleman though whether that be for Kenny or some other form of back 4/5 his performances have been terrible

Brilliant player and I don't know how people can knock him or his ability but each to their own
At 29 he still has a few good seasons in him but If we could line the likes of Decourè up who is four years younger and a more rounded box to box type I wouldn't be devastated if he left
- Romey 1878, StevO and Shukes

Anyone any idea if Onyekuru will be eligible by next season or not?
Forgot to add earlier recalling Vlasic when his loan is up, high hopes for the lad
-
I'm not expecting much to happen in January tbh probably a fair few outgoings, I'd like us to do the leg work for tying Gomes and Zouma down
For the summer I'd love..
Bissaka
Lozano
Decourè
Werner
Expensive I know but imo the type of players to push us on
Pickford
Bissaka Keane Mina Digne
Decourè Gomes
Lozano Sigurdsson Richarlison
Werner
Expensive and probably not possible but would give us some real balance and attacking threat and a very good bench and depth for rotating the side
-
That's were he's been played previously and you can tell that's where he's at his most effective
The formation Mark put on would be what I'd be looking at, he's a grafter and tracks back etc so I wouldn't be to worried about him leaving us open on the counter

Fucking hope not.
I fully get why you say it but he's probably one of the players I'd love us to be able to get (I know it won't happen)
We could do with that grit and nasty streak in certain games and his finishing is up there with the best of them
I'd have Giroud though in January as a stop gap before he flutters off to Ligue 1

DCL played him on. And Pickford was impeded by Keane I think... not a Burnley player.
Couldn't tell tbh didn't show much of a reply on TSN3
Either way shite goal to give away
-
Pickford impeded and one of their lads looked slightly offside to me?
-
Spurs where simply better even with the brainfarts and positioning errors we would have been beaten
They are a testament to slowly building a side that can compete without spending the earth, a very good and balanced side no two ways about it
We need to address some issues in the summer as I don't think much will get done in January, it's never going to happen overnight we are still in the process of shifting through the shite of previous managers but I have every faith in a season probably two we'll be more of a match for the better sides

This is the type of game a fully fit McCarthy is ideal for
Pickford with another brainfart and Coleman just doesn't have that yard of pace to get back anymore
I don't want to bash Davies much as he hasn't played much football but he's out of his depth here his movement and decision making is piss poor

We did this once before, although I don't remember whether it was a year ago or longer. Maybe I can claim poetic license in claiming they are annual awards. Please nominate, from among ToffeeTalk contributors, your candidate in each of the following 12 categories. You may nominate the same person for more than one award. And then there are three bonus awards at the end.
1) Most passionate Everton supporter
Hard to say as its subject specific how people come across
2) Most insightful Everton supporter
Must admit I've enjoyed many of Mike's stories and knowledge of times beyond mine over the years
3) Most interesting Everton supporter
Mike JohnH and Rubes
4) Most humourous Everton supporter
Quite a few tbh Newty has a good sense of humour
5) Most unpredictable Everton supporter
Haf and Pete
6) Most valuable contributor from overseas
Some great lads on here and I couldn't say one that stands over the others tbh
7) Person with whom you most often disagree
Pete purely on the Gana thread
8 ) Person with whom you almost always agree
Myself
9) Person who will always take the bait
Not from me but fucking hell Haf and Pete both get caught in each others fishing nets
10) Person you'd most miss if they chose to leave the forum
Loads
11) Person with whom you'd most like to attend a game
Again I'd happily watch a game with many on here, it would be great to have some of the overseas lads over here to share the experience with
12) Person with whom you'd most like to chat down the local
Probably Mike or JohnH both seem to have an abundance of great tales and stories
And the bonus awards...
13) The most interesting discussion thread of the year
Stadium
14) The discussion thread you wish had never been started
Can't help myself but reading both the Lukaku and Gana threads
15) The most grammatically correct member of TT
Not me!

As much as I can't bare the man he could do much worse than learn from arguably one of the best midfielders the Prem has had over the last decade
Not a great league but this season is probably the most competitive it's ever been
-
Pickford
Kenny Keane Zouma Digne
Gomes Gana
Lookman Sigurdsson Richarlison
DCL

Well rumours are we fancy Leipzig's French forward more.
Saw that I can't see it being true tbh as it says Lookman would go the other way as part of the deal
I can't say I've seen the lad play though so he may be decent and have bags of potential if they are interested it'll be purely financial over Werner though if their valuing a relatively unproven and unknown player at £38m

When I've seen him he's been excellent - super quick
Nearly a 1 in 2 player for Germany and considering he hasn't started many games for them it isn'tt a bad return considering the amount of forwards they have at their disposal
He's 22 the fact he hasn't been snapped up yet by Bayern means nothing they've already expressed interest but have the likes of Wagner Muller and Lewandowski to jiggle around move on etc
Young quick and technically better than any of the other German forwards on the rise, he'd be a good fit and will only get better imo
-
Early days yet he hasn't played much football and will need to settle into the side and league properly, people wanted Keane drawn and quartered at times and he's kicked on
